Knott House Farm is in a wonderful little house. Location wise it is an easy walk in to Keswick and the lake. Many great walks near by, we did Skiddaw which is out the back plus there is a pub over the road which did good evening meals and a cafe at the bottom of the garden which did great breakfasts. All in all very good.

This was our 2nd visit to the Burrow and it did not disappoint. We had such a perfect time away. Our trip was to search for places to stay near windermere for the LAP in September - the Burrow meant that we were a close enough drive away to explore different towns around lake Windermere and also come back for the peaceful surroundings and chill out at the same time. I will never get bored of staying in the Burrow. It is exactly how it is described, it is peaceful, it has beautiful views, it is comfy. Just perfect if you are happy to just sit and appreciate nature. Derek is super friendly and helpful - checked in with us to make sure all was okay on our first evening. Thank you so much - we will definitely be back again!

Amazing house, everything is so clean and modern. The house has everything you need and nice walks on the doorstep. Heft the pub over the road is worth booking if you can book far enough in advance, they do pub snacks which are out of this world for walk ins and the beer etc is really nice to. We will hopefully be back again. Thanks for hosting us.

Magnus is a great host and he’s created an amazing experience here at his campsite. My wife and I loved everything from the stunning countryside location to the kitchenette building to the hammock. Every comfort is provided for a great price and Magnus is extremely responsive and helpful. 10/10, we will be coming back again

We stayed over Christmas. The house was beautifully decorated. Brian and Diane left us a wonderful welcome basket with a loaf of delicious warm freshly baked bread. As hosts, they were so flexible and accommodating, really going the extra mile. The house is beautiful, clean and well kitted out. Rooms and beds are comfy. Bathrooms are pristine. Lovely big living areas to host large groups. Could not say one negative word about this beautiful house or her lovely hosts. Thanks again for everything Brian and Diane.

Myself and my family had a wonderful time at Charlottes place. It was in a great location with a lovely view over the lake and the cabin itself was extremely well equipped with everything you would need to enjoy your stay. We enjoyed exploring the area, lots to see and do, Kirkby Lonsdale was our favourite but plenty to come back for. Charlotte was a great host, responding to questions very quickly. We hope to return to this area of the country at some point in the future and would love to stay and Charlottes place.

The place was beautiful and very welcoming . It felt like home almost immediately. It's located in a very private setting and we loved the river at the back of the property. We had a few teething issues to begin with as we had a wasps nest outside and the occasional power outage when the switch tripped on the fuse box but the host, Cheryl, was very quick to respond and helped resolve things straight away. She even offered to give us an extra day for free but because we had work the next day the option of a late checkout instead was very welcome. I would highly recommend this place and Cheryl was absolutely fantastic! Thank you Cheryl!

Sunnyside Cottage in Silverdale

Lovely cottage, very clean and spacious with 2 really good sized double bedrooms with very comfortable beds (better than many other AirBNB's!). Shower over bath was also of an excellent standard and the central heating works well. Large, recently refitted kitchen, which for once is not missing that useful utensil you were expecting to be there. Full size dishwasher, washing machine and and large fridge freezer all made the stay more enjoyable and without challenges to "make do without" anything. A good sized desk for any work or browsing on the computer is a nice touch. The area was very quiet. Good sized off-street parking but truly only for 1 car not 2. Good guide to the surrounding areas with plenty of walks, something you do not always get these days. Mobile phone signal virtually nonexistent but once your phone is linked to the wi-fi then your phone can do everything with the cottages excellent wi-fi. Recommended without hesitation.

We absolutely loved our stay here for a family weekend with the kids. So homely and clean, with lovely views straight into the water. Great selection of children’s games and everything you could need during your stay. Would love to return in summer for the water sports! Kimberley was so helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend!
