Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Borough of Tameside

Our stay was very comfortable; the house was roomy, spotlessly clean and well presented. The location was fabulous and only a stones throw from some of the popular walks in the area. We would stay there again. Car parking is on the street and the village was very busy when we stayed, so we had to leave the cars a hundred meters, or so, from the house. However, it felt safe enough to leave the cars out of sight.

Attractive, spacious, spotless and comfortable cottage in pretty village in easy reach of walks up Kinder. We cooked for ourselves and had everything we needed. A lovely stay!

I'm not sure what to say that already hasn't. We have just had an absolutely lovely Easter weekend at Michelle and Johns wonderful cottage. The place is thoughtfully decorated throughout and has a very homely feeling to it. Everything was modern and spotlessly clean with thoughtful little touches like dog towels, grocery essentials and soaps. The location is very peaceful but find yourself a mere five minute walk to the centre of Marsden and all it has to offer. Having stayed at many Airbnb rentals, this is without doubt equally one of the best and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone considering staying. We will be returning to Marsden and hope we will be able to stay once again as it ticks all boxes. We didn't have the pleasure of meeting in person but Michelle and John's communication was so quick and could not have been more friendly and helpful.

Perfect location for a weekends walking. Everything we needed in the cottage, and all clean and tidy on arrival. Great stay we would go again!

We had an amazing stay, Claire's had everything we could possibly need & more! Location was great, a 1 minute walk to the local pub which was really friendly & great for quiz night on a Wednesday! A 20 minute walk into Holmfirth for a choice of lovely coffee shops & places to eat! Plenty of walks & bike rides straight out of the house! From opening the door for the first time it is clear that Ann takes great pride in her accommodation and wants her guests to feel welcomed and at home, when we arrived we found everything to be spotless, neatly appointed and fresh. The facilities were fantastic, beds really firm and comfortable making for a great nights sleep. Ann is extremely responsive and communicative, even ahead of our visit she was in touch a couple days before to check in with us and was as flexible as she could be on arrival time. We had one minor issue during the first night of the stay which was immediately resolved with Ann, who got back to us within minutes of us reaching out to her and went beyond expectations to restore parity even on an Easter Weekend. I would recommend this accommodation it is ideally placed for the Peak District, central Manchester and has a host of local activities and amenities nearby, whilst being in a quiet peaceful area of Romily meaning you can simply relax after a long day.

Marianne really is the perfect host! We received a warm welcome on arrival plus we also had the absolute pleasure of meeting Minny, Macy & Flee! The accommodation itself is very cosy & styled beautifully. We were very comfortable here & felt instantly at home. The kitchen is well equipped but with so many pubs/tearooms etc just a short walk away, we dined out every single evening! Spring is a particularly wonderful time to visit. Glorious pink blossom trees, an abundance of bright sunny yellow daffodils & the cutest little lambs prancing around! This really is the perfect base to explore Castleton & we would love to stay again when we are next visiting the Peak District. Thank you Marianne! 💛✨

We had a lovely long weekend based in Longnor. A comfortable, warm and surprisingly spacious apartment. Great location. We walked the spectacular 'dragons back' route from our front door. Longnor is a central, pretty, and very peaceful village. Sad to see the village pubs and cafe all shut down. The nearest pub was the Packhorse Inn, a 20 min walk which was nice. A fantastic place, great host - highly recommend for a quiet break exploring the Peaks.

We had a wonderful time in Bakewell… beautiful little town with friendly people! The accommodation was very central and beautifully kept! Couldn’t fault a thing… would definitely recommend anyone to stay here!

We really enjoyed our stay. Charlotte was a lovely host, so helpful and friendly. We really liked the place! It was a perfect base for our hikes. Clean, warm and with a well equipped kitchen. A place where we could happily flop on the sofa after a long day out. Many thanks to Charlotte and Stuart!

Our stay at Diana's was magnificent! The apartment has everything you need to be comfortable during summer or winter, and the location is perfect! (Keep in mind that it's on a slight hill if you have limited mobility.) Diana is very communicative, check-in and check-out were extremely simple, and the apartment has a lot of useful information about the area. We will definitely stay at Diana's again when we're in the area.
