Monthly Rentals in Blackwood River

We loved our family weekend away. The cottage has an incredible view and it was peaceful and relaxing wandering the local surrounds each morning. The cottage was comfortable with extra touches to make our stay great. Instructions to find the cottage and get in where clear and we had a wonderful time. Thank you!

We stayed at Petrina and Paul’s place for 4 days and 3 nights. The house was very cozy, lots of space for our crew of 3 adults and 3 children. There is a nice fireplace to keep the house warm when it gets chilly. There is a lot to do on the farm, fishing for big fish, fishing for small tadpoles, kayaking on the nearby river, swimming in the lake, feeding the animals (Donkeys and Alpacas) and taking a walk around the estate. The highlight for me was kayaking on the Warren river, it was very quiet and peaceful and you could kayak for ages just admiring the calmness and serenity of the place and being unplugged from city life and work. The hosts are an absolutely lovely couple. They were warm and welcoming and we were able to hear their wonderful stories about the farm. They also have a very sweet dog called Django who my 7 year old son loved to play with and wanted to take home! I would highly recommend this charming farm, an amazing experience with lots of fun things to do.

A perfect cabin needs many things, as the books in this ones library show. The location is essential as is the imagination factor of the creators. If you like quirky, but also to have the luxury of a hot tub, coordinated linens, mixed with cosy throws & a selection of toiletries then this is for you. The cabin feels like a home ; kitchen is well equipped, lounging areas varied & numerous, reading material is worth staying a week for alone. There are games for anyone who needed to be entertained, plus big TVs, which I guess in winter could be nice, but in summer you have a beautiful view & as others have said so much wildlife to entertain you. For locals the rustle & thump may not excite you, but as overseas visitors to sense being watched & then see kangaroos bound in the forest behind is magical. We need to return as the possums were shy, but we are sure we heard them. Hosts who genuinely enjoying sharing their property & ensure you do the same are rare, just book it & enjoy.

We spent a wonderful peaceful 3 nights, a very welcome comfortable retreat after enjoying the delights of the Bridgetown Blues Festival. A huge barn space in beautiful surroundings and a rose garden to admire. Short distance from town. Warm and welcoming hosts! Thank you Mike and Judy
