Cabin vacation rentals in Black Lake

Really enjoyed our stay here. Made for the perfect holiday escape. The view was beautiful, especially with the light dusting of snow.

We had the most cozy Thanksgiving getaway at this cabin. It was very warm and inviting inside with the fireplace, candles, and Christmas lights. There were lots of cool little spots to hang out around the house and property. My favorite part is that it is situated right on the beach, and we were treated to high winds and big waves which made a dramatic show. We hope to come again in warmer months!

We had a great stay at Sunset Cedar Beach House! With a crawling infant, the baby gate and outlet covers were so helpful. Jane has the home stocked with everything from a hand mixer to a closet full of games and puzzles. The house is very cozy and clean! This Airbnb went above and beyond with the “little things” that make a stay more homey. The beach and view was so peaceful as well!

My family and I travel to Northern Michigan a LOT. It is truly our happy place. So when I say that we have stayed in many Airbnbs and many different places...trust me we have. Monica's place is a little piece of heaven on earth. It's one of those places you don't even want to review because you don't want too many people to reserve (haha just kidding!...we want them to share in it) There was so much attention to every detail here. Starting from Monica's easy and friendly communication right from the start. So many awesome recommendations for the areas from nature hikes to restaurants to wineries and breweries. The cabin itself with it's very cool history (described in a photo book in the cabin) was pristine. So cozy and inviting and comfortable. Monica did not leave out one single detail and even thought of things the average person might not. The walk down to the lake was dreamy Running out of characters to use here so I will sum up RUN don't walk to book this little dream!

What a great house along with fantastic hosts. Everything you need is provided for your stay. The location is perfect for seeing the wonderful sights in Northern Michigan., We loved every minute at the house and were sad to leave. You will not find a better home base with all the beauty that surrounds this Paradise Lake home. We will return. Thanks Stacy for the great communication and your lovely home.

Pros: Love the gas fireplace and the rustic vibes. So many comfortable and cozy throw blankets! Easy in and out. Loved being so close to the lake. Super location to Gaylord and easy on/off for 75. And then there was Sadie, the local Australian Shepherd, who came to say hi amd insisted we play Frisbee with her for a bit. I hope you get to experience her. She's wonderful! CONS: None. The place was exactly as described. Only 1 thing worth noting, and it's been mentioned before: The queen bed in the main bedroom does fill it up, but it is comfy, so it didn't bother us.

It is a steal of a place. This was our second time and we want to keep coming.

Absolutely amazing place on the lake. Neighbors are nice but quiet. Bathroom is clean and comfortable. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need. Even though we were here in the fall, we used the back deck by the water and it was incredible. Wish that was my view everyday. The places and things to do up there are so much fun. I recommend Whitefish Point and the falls nearby. Sault st. Marie was nice too. The food nearby was very good and the host gives a list of things to do and that was much appreciated. If you like hiking theres so many trails with amazing views of the bridge and of the great lakes. I would absolutely recommend this place and will be returning.

This cabin is the perfect getaway for any type of vacation. The cabin is spacious and very welcoming. Easily accessible and the hosts are very responsive. The town is the one of the smallest towns I’ve been in, but contains the most friendly people. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a getaway. Great access to atv trails and many amenities local.

We were lucky to stay while there was a large snowfall; a little over 18” Thanksgiving weekend! The snow added to the magical setting and made the trails a lot more fun! The house has so much room for big groups (we had 11 and 5 dogs) and a ton of things to do. We had a game night in the game room with karaoke and dancing! We also enjoyed a few movie nights in the large living room! Phil’s place had everything you need, and if you forgot anything - he remembered.

The location was gorgeous! This is a quiet place to relax surrounded by nature. Very clean and nice. Hot tub is a wonderful bonus. The hosts communicated well and were very nice.

A great getaway! The living space being on the second floor made you feel like you were up in the trees with nature. Luckily we had a lot of snow fall during our stay and it made the surroundings feel like a winter wonderland! A clean and organized place, felt right at home. Our hosts were extremely responsive and friendly, I would stay again and or recommend to others.

This is the place for a winter getaway. It’s a great home with beautiful property, close to Petoskey. Cannot ask for more.

It’s a nice simple place that gets the job done at a reasonable price. It was perfect for the dogs.

Its a cabin near state land and trails. Good place to get outdoors. Its an older place with no tv but who cares thats not why you are here. James was quick to respond and instructions were clear. Overall experience was good.

The cabin was well kept and in a beautiful secluded part of the woods. I've stayed here three times now and I always enjoy my stay. If you're looking for a quiet, well maintained and comfortable cabin for a retreat up north you wont be disappointed.

The Cub Lodge was perfect for our long-term stay! The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked, bedrooms and living area were cozy and the location was beautiful. Chelsea was very easy to communicate with and always quick to respond. Would definitely stay here again if we’re back in the area!

Cozy, comfortable cabin for quick weekend trip to Pigeon River Country. Super clean and just what we needed while spending the days on the trail. Easy to get to the High Country Pathway, Lewiston, and Atlanta.

Craig's Cabin in the Woods was absolutely spectacular. A friend and I stayed here for the weekend and could not imagine having a better time. Craig was sure to check in with us to make sure we could appropriately access the cabin in the evening and to walk his property as safely as possible. The wood burning stove and abundance of DVDs had us reminiscing by the Cozy Fireside all weekend long. Craig thank you so much!

Great location. Quick walk to Torch Lake and Alden stores and restaurants. Quiet street, great space by the woods. Cozy and comfortable log cabin. Came in November and cabin was warm and bright on the chilly grey November days.

Very comfortable place with great communication and response time from the host. Ample parking even for two trucks with snowmobile trailers. Was able to ride straight to the trails through a couple streets and the power lines. Will stay here again!
