Sault Ste. Marie vacation rentals

We stayed at a beautiful lodge nestled on the shores of Lake Superior in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and it exceeded all expectations. The view over the lake was absolutely stunning—secluded enough to feel peaceful but still conveniently close to get any supplies needed. The weather was perfect, allowing us to keep the windows open and enjoy a refreshing lake breeze throughout our stay. The cabin itself had a fantastic layout with ample space and plenty of rooms, blending a cozy, rustic vibe with modern comforts I didn't even know were included. Every aspect of this place was a pleasant surprise, making it ideal for relaxing, unwinding, and escaping the daily hustle. If you're looking for a picturesque getaway that brings tranquility and freedom, I can't recommend this place enough!

The view was amazing and everything was exactly as described. We had no issues during our stay and we will definitely be coming back for another visit!

This was our second time staying and we always love our stay! Lorie is always very responsive and helpful. She gave us some great recommendations on places to visit. House is very clean and cozy. We plan to stay again in the future!

Joanna and Scott’s place was magical! Being right by the water, having sand by the back patio for the kids to play in, campfires, and the night sky. We even saw Northern Lights!! Scott made sure we had everything we need, and our stay did not disappoint! It was perfect for our three little boys as they had plenty of toys to play with and books to read. The beds were comfy, air conditioners worked well, and kitchen was well stocked to cook. An incredible experience and we’d love to be back if circumstances allow!

A cozy, comfortable, and well-stocked home. Not fancy but welcoming. However, the view is the selling point. Once you see it you won’t care that the house has colanders and yoga mats and q-tips (and practically anything else you might need) available. The view is amazing, and changes every hour of every day. You won’t want to go and “do stuff” and miss a moment! Sleeping is wonderful; there is quiet except for the lapping of the waves against the beach. Our hosts were quick to respond to messages, so we felt well supported. Only one drawback (or plus, depending on how you view it) — the house is miles from “civilization” and even a simple errand requires a long time investment. Our family convened from New York, Illinois, and Indiana and it was a nice place to relax and spend time together away from it all.

In search of snow for 2024, we decided to try this area. We definitely found the snow. Barbara made sure to let us know that she would have the driveway shoveled. To me, this was going the extra mile to insure that we had no issues trying to get out and ride around for the days. Any question that we had, was promptly answered. Thank you for providing this house for our visit to Sault Ste Marie.

Gorgeous surroundings, the lake was right across the street, you could hear it on our porch! We sat outside every morning and night to eat. At night the stars and Milky Way was on full desolate and even got to see a bunch of shooting stars. We had fire wood, a fire pit, and chairs which was great. We had some issues first figuring out how to light the fire and I believe it was terry who was driving around and checked on us! By then I magically figured out how to light the fire but he was so ready to help us! On our part we didn’t realize everything around was closed for the season so we had to drive an hour away, besides that, the area was perfect for seclusion. A bunch of hiking trails were around including some waterfalls and look outs! We stayed an entire week and I did in fact wanna stay! If we ever plan on coming back to Lake Superior we will definitely be staying here again!
