We had a gorgeous stay in this lovely little cottage. It was immaculate and well equipped with lots of instructions on how to use everything! The place was so cosy and surrounded by gorgeous views. The host was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. If you want to escape the bussle (and the kids) this is just perfect!

A beautiful home in a perfect location for friends located around the U.K. to meet. Lots of local amenities in walking distance. Surrounded by things to do, places to visit and perfect for outdoorsy folk. The house was warm and cosy, instructions excellent. Jennie was a very responsive host. Thank you!!

Everything about this place was perfect. Beautiful location & beautiful accomodation. Greeted on check in by Caroline, very friendly and helpful, showed us around the accomodation and were everything was. The Lodge was spotlessly clean, well equipped and everything so well thought out. The beds were exceptionally comfy also. Location very lovely and peaceful. Gorgeous welcome pack on arrival which was a lovely gesture. Thank you for a lovely stay.

10000% would recommend anyone to stay here. I booked this as a suprise for my partners 30th. And we were both blown away. Firstly surrounding areas are breathtaking. The check in process was super ease. And the yurt, oh my how do I even begin to explain how perfect this was. My partner was so so happy with this suprise. The hot tub was an amazing end to the trip Thank you so much to Amy we will definitely return again in the future

I had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful cottage! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth, including a delicious home-baked cake that made us feel instantly at home. The cottage itself is stunning, blending cozy charm with lovely decor and thoughtful touches throughout. The views are absolutely breathtaking—perfect for unwinding and taking in the scenery. The hot tub was an added luxury, allowing us to relax under the stars. Every aspect of our stay was exceptional, and I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with a personal touch.

We had a lovely week at Wood View, it felt like a home away from home which was surprising as often dog friendly places can seem uninviting. Karen was a fabulous host and couldn’t do more for us. We will be back!

Beautiful location for the fantastic yurt. As it was a very cold weekend in January, the many layers we brought were well used but the frost made the location even prettier. We had a lovely walk locally and came back to spotless shower facilities to warm and clean up. Sarah was very helpful with any queries we had during our stay. We had food in the yurt one night and ate at The Beacon Hotel another. The cooking facilities provided were great with the option of using the yurts woodburner or the shared kitchen with electric hob and oven.

We had a great stay. Lovely house with well appointed kitchen. Fantastic summer house and hot tub. The location was perfect for long walks, bonus of some nice pubs on the way round!

We had a great stay over New Year at the barn. So peaceful with beautiful surroundings. The children in our family loved the animals we could see from the kitchen and living room. Plenty of space and flexibility with the option to have a twin room if we needed it. We all appreciated having our own bathrooms. Thank you for a very memorable stay!

Fantastic find, a mile from Matlock but feels like you are deep into the countryside. So quiet and peaceful, the cottage was everything you could need, spotless, well equipped and very comfortable. Shower is a bit cramped if you are over 5ft 8ins though :-) Lovely enclosed garden ideal for the dogs and the views across the dale are stunning Would love to return one day, highly recommend a visit

A home from home. We had a wonderful stay over the Christmas week, enjoyed by all the family. Great location with plenty of walks from the doorstep. Cottage was well equipped and clean.

Fantastic stay at Fiona’s cottage, we felt at home. Beautiful part of the country and the walls are great. The log burner was a bonus especially when it’s so cold outside! We were left some yummy treats, which were really appreciated and also very yummy! Fantastic host and always on hand if needed. We would definitely visit again! Xx

An amazing property, best I’ve booked on Airbnb. Beautifully presented, extremely clean and very well stocked. You can tell the love and care that has gone into creating this rental and Julie clearly has very good taste. Everything you could possibly need - Julie has included it and she’s gone the extra mile with lovely extra touches. The cottage is well located right in the heart of Tideswell with walks and restaurants on your doorstep. If you have a dog, the boot room outside is fantastic with its warm shower and Julie even supplies dog towels and shampoo. I cannot recommend this property enough and we’ll most certainly be back!

One of the nicest homes we have stayed in. Cottage was absolutely perfect, warm and cosy with a beautiful open fire. Highly recommended. Will definitely be returning. Kim was a perfect host providing useful information and great recommendations. We had a wonderful time.

This is a gorgeous property in a very picturesque setting. The accommodation is very comfortable and the kitchen is impressively well-equipped. The hosts provide great recommendations (including local caterers which was brilliant). There were lots of little touches that really lifted the experience. We were a family birthday celebration and the hosts provided some really thoughtful & generous augmentations. The lounge is a sumptuous space for large family games and gatherings. We loved it!

Really lovely place to stay quiet with amazing views! Not far from Ashbourne town centre where you can get all your essentials we really enjoyed using the swimming pool as well that was a bonus for us!

our stay at staycation cottages in bakewell was lovely. the love nest Lodge was very quaint and well equipped. the bathroom was especially layed out nicely. I enjoyed the access to the football playing area, pool area and the swimming pool. we used the bbq area once and made full use of the boot room for leaflets and information for our stay would definitely return back

We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. The space is great and as an extra bonus, you get to use a heated pool and brilliant games room. We went early Jan and there was loads of snow, as well as pretty cold temperatures, but the house warmed up very quickly and we were always more than comfortable. The property is close enough to Bakewell for a short drive or taxi ride, should you want to venture into town. We're thinking about going back in the summer.

What a wonderful stay at Manor Farm. The house was beautiful, well maintained, extremely spacious and very comfortable. The surrounding countryside was stunning, with great food being served in nearby pubs and plenty of places to visit. Great space for youngsters too, with the wildlife - baby rabbits, sheep and birds and of course the swimming pool and games room, all of which they loved. Thanks to the hosts for their welcome and hospitable atmosphere.

We loved our stay at the cottage. Festively decorated and we had a nice welcome surprise on arrival. Check-in was super easy and we had quick replies with any queries we had. Comfy beds and vintage decor and furniture. Only negative was that I thought the radiator in the double room wasn’t working, until check out day when I realised it was just turned down to zero! So I was chilly most nights! 🤣. The swimming pool was great and we had it all to ourselves which was a bonus. I didn’t see the games room but friends kids that visited had a great time there. I would recommend and I would stay again for sure!

We had an amazing week here over Christmas. Very spacious, immaculately clean with great social spacing. Outside space also amazing, with your own hot tub, swim spa and shared sauna. All of these were used and enjoyed by my family. James has really thought of everything to make the house a home from home. We would definitely go back! We drove to Matlock a few times , just a 10 minute drive. Visited a few local pubs, and we had some lovely walks. When we checked out we stopped off at chatsworth house, had a lovely breakfast and admired the views! Definitely worth a visit! Stunning.

Great value for money. Can't stress enough how friendly and reliable the staff were. We had a lovely week stay, the house was clean, the beds were comfy and the scenery was perfect. We were informed of the booking system for the swimming pool and games room, so you could have the room to yourself which was great. The pool was clean, the games room was kept tidy and the house surroundings were really lovely to walk around. You can tell the grounds were well maintained and kept in good shape as the workers never stopped, but were always so friendly. This property is perfect for bike riders, walkers and pub crawlers. You couldn't get bored.
