Family-friendly vacation rentals in Ballena Bay

My friends and I (group of 8 ladies) stayed here for one night at the end of our girls trip vacation in Costa Rica. Lily’s house is absolutely gorgeous. We all had plenty of room and enjoyed our last day in CR. It is close enough to walk to a Fresh Market. The grounds keeper, Nery, was available for any of our questions and very helpful and friendly. It was very close to the airport. Loved our time there and we all wished we could have spent another day or two there to enjoy the beautiful house.

We loved our stay at this Airbnb in Alajuela, Costa Rica. From the first moment we felt very welcome. The place is comfortable, clean, and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The location is perfect, close to the airport but in a quiet area, ideal for resting. In addition, the host was incredibly kind and attentive, always available to help us with any questions or recommendations. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers.

Great space, wonderful views and the grounds were beautiful with all the flowers. Really enjoyed the hot tub and the beds were nice and cozy. Stopped there as a half way point to the Caribbean coast. Was a tad difficult finding, but it was in the dark and once we got to Aquarius and looked at the pictures we got there no problem. Host was responsive. Thank you for sharing your wonderful house.

Three of us stayed at Wanderlust to celebrate the upcoming wedding of a friend. Our stay was nothing short of amazing. Highlights of the accommodations were the incredibly comfortable beds, the peaceful atmosphere and the fantastic hot tub. What really makes this place stand out is Jai. Jai could not have done more to make our stay a magical occasion. She provided us with impeccable food and drink recommendations, connected us with local, trustworthy transportation and bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect. Jai really is a special treat. We all hope to be back someday.

Super nice apartment and the pool is very close to the apartment! There is also a gym next to the pool!

Excellent for sleeping and doing things in Quepos..!! Keep in mind that it is inside a property, so it is not 100% private. However, it is a very good and accessible place to be in the area, I recommend it 100%

A absolute privilege to spend a few days here as a family. A gem of a house that felt immediately like a home. We loved the quirks and the passion for enjoyment. Top of our price range but to us it was worth every penny. Thank you Tucker.

We were perfectly welcomed by the couple. They guided us on activities nearby. The listing is as described and very clean. Pretty flora and fauna all around the apartment. That was great. Thank you.

To be honest everything about this place was better than we expected it to be. The house was bigger and the beach was more beautiful. It really is a fantastic place to stay and it is run by the people who really care. We would be very happy to go back there again.

What a beautiful place. Lovely cottage. A balcony with an amazing view of the ocean. Even the shower has an ocean view!!! You won't regret about this place. Peter is great host. I definitely recommend this place

Absolutely incredible place to stay for a honeymoon :) we were there for just over a week, and we really loved our little home base. Jan was so helpful with recommendations and even booked our reservation for Manuel Antonio with her Costa Rican debit card since we couldn't do it ourselves. With as helpful as she was, she also gave us total privacy and communicated very effectively with us. I know the person before us mentioned insect issues, but we had no complaints whatsoever and were there for an extended period of time. We were able to see hummingbirds, scarlet macaws, lizards, and other varieties of birds which made just sitting by the pool a fun experience. The shading was perfect for the pool too. You could decide if you wanted to sit in the shade or the sun depending how you feel. The AC cools down the bedroom very fast when arriving home. The private driveway is convenient too. We loved our stay so much! We would certainly consider coming back if in town!

Would rent here again without hesitation! The location is great. We loved being close to town and things to do but still having all the jungle vibes! We saw lots of monkeys right in the back yard! Alex and Glen were both very friendly. We also did the mangrove Kayak tour with Alex & Goldie (his pup)! Would highly recommend that tour! Overall we really enjoyed our stay here!

Atypical cabin in a very beautiful setting. We met Alvaro before the arrival time who told us that we could take possession of the premises before. We really had a great time.

Casa Tango was just what we were looking for to experience true Costa Rican charm in Manuel Antonio! Our kids loved the stay! Would definitely stay here again!

I stayed here with three friends for a girls’ trip, and we loved the outdoor living experience. The pool was amazing and felt very private. Overall, this was a great place to stay—we all agreed that the house made our trip even better. It was one of our favorite parts! Highly recommend!

We had a great stay. The house was very well equipped. Much more than we expect. Super recommended!

Jose’s bungalows are a little slice of heaven! We were far enough from the city that the nights felt private and quiet but close enough that we were easily able to walk to town or catch a quick Uber. The sweetest surprise was Luna, Jose’s gorgeous dog, who greeted us at the gate every time we returned and loved to hang out with us by the pool. Would absolutely recommend this place to others!

I can't say enough about this place. It was even more beautiful than the photos. The location was amazing - right on the beach and walkable to all of Tamarindo's restaurants and activity. Yet it felt safe and quiet. The house was beautiful, the staff friendly, and the pool a welcome break from the beach. I would give it 10 stars if I could. And Nick was amazingly responsive to every question and request we gave.

A nice and peaceful complex on the north end of town. The place has an everything you need, in addition to a beautiful pool in a beautiful lush garden, great for day or night- but being steps from the beach is the real treat.

Wonderful and peaceful stay at Griss Corner. The rental is much more open and spacious than the photos portray. All the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend staying here for a central and walkable vacation.

Great stay! Two blocks from downtown, walkable. We rented bikes from a neighbor. Pool was perfect. Safe neighborhood. We're already planning another stay👍🏽

Amazing suite. There is a great view from the balcony of every room. Really nice kitchen and wide bathroom. The bedrooms are comfortable as well with A/C and large beds. I think you will love. Sure you can arrive there by taxi but is much better getting there in car because the center is around 2 miles away from the place.
