Family-friendly vacation rentals in Ballena Bay

This was a great place for a medium size group to spend the night near the airport before venturing to other parts of Costa Rica. The listing was as described. The area is safe, easy to find, and the host was attentive and responsive to all our needs. Gracias!

By far the best service we’ve had with an Airbnb! felipe was so responsive and thoughtful. The house’s view was AMAZING, and we immediately warmed up the hot tub and had a sunset plunge over looking the city. The kitchen was PERFECT! It was equipped with everything you needed, and the laundry and tv and A/C’s all worked great! We loved being able to walk to the nearby restaurant and the layout was perfect for our big group. It felt like a HOME, and we felt so taken care of while we were there. We even hired a babysitter through Felipe for our toddler and she was the best babysitter we’ve ever had! Wonderful location, with stunning views. All the amenities we needed. It would have been really great to have had more information on the local area - especially the Coffee experiences in Acquarias, and also more information about restaurants near by !

It was my first time in Costa Rica and it was a great experience. The condo was very clean and spacious. We were comfortable as if we were home. Everyone was so polite and helpful if needed. If I ever go back I’ll definitely stay here again

Our four-night stay over the New Year’s Eve holiday at Volare was nothing short of magical! It was the perfect setting for our family to come together and celebrate the start of a new year. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how peaceful and beautiful the home was. The natural light pouring through the windows made the entire house feel warm and inviting, and we couldn’t get enough of the stunning views—especially the clouds and the birds that graced the sky each morning. Tucker was a fantastic host, always available and ready to help with anything we needed. It was clear that she cares deeply about the space and her guests. Yamilet, the property manager, was so friendly and helpful. Everything was spotless and felt like a true retreat. This was the perfect escape for our family to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the holiday. We can’t recommend it enough. Whether you’re looking to unwind or explore, this home is an absolute gem. We can’t wait to return!

We had an amazing time. The view was spectacular, and we were very close to the volcano and other attractions. Minie, the property dog, was the sweetest and kept us company. 10/10 recommend

I had an amazing stay at the Airbnb in Palo Seco. Jefferson was incredibly helpful, attentive, kind, and always available. The place was fabulous, and we didn’t lack anything. Highly recommended!

Our stay was very inspiring and with lot of creative energy. We stayed at two of the houses because the first one was a bit too small since we travel for months and had a lot of luggage. Both places had a lot of perfect imperfections, with the most stunning views through out the day. We saw small monkeys, giant leguans, raccoons and heard howler monkeys. We enjoyed this place a lot and we will never forget our time here. Peter was so welcoming and very communicative and helpful with everything.

Absolutely incredible place to stay for a honeymoon :) we were there for just over a week, and we really loved our little home base. Jan was so helpful with recommendations and even booked our reservation for Manuel Antonio with her Costa Rican debit card since we couldn't do it ourselves. With as helpful as she was, she also gave us total privacy and communicated very effectively with us. I know the person before us mentioned insect issues, but we had no complaints whatsoever and were there for an extended period of time. We were able to see hummingbirds, scarlet macaws, lizards, and other varieties of birds which made just sitting by the pool a fun experience. The shading was perfect for the pool too. You could decide if you wanted to sit in the shade or the sun depending how you feel. The AC cools down the bedroom very fast when arriving home. The private driveway is convenient too. We loved our stay so much! We would certainly consider coming back if in town!

This was a unique and wonderful get-away. Even the trip by boat to the isolated location was fun. We had the beach and jungle all to ourselves- heavenly! We enjoyed exploring the coast by kayak, snorkeling around a rocky point and discovering strange plants inside the mangroves. The cabin is rustic and beautiful.

Kimberly was a fantastic host and helped us get settled in after a long day of travel. The house was amazing and cozy. Everything was clean, worked, and the pool area was amazing as well. Lots of outlets as well. It’s also perfectly located between Quepos and the beaches. In addition to all of the above; the wildlife around the house was abundant and made for great entertainment while floating the afternoon away in the pool. Cant wait to return and stay longer. We were pleased with the house, it was well equipped although it could improve. The host Gabriel was very friendly, always attentive to our needs and punctual when receiving us. Very close to commercial and tourist areas what made our stay very pleasant. I would definitely come back.

Do not hesitate to book this location. It was beyond our expectations. Everything was spotless and the kitchen was very well stocked. We spent allot of time around the pool. The fridge on the deck was a nice perk. We would definitely stay again if we’re back in Uvita. The Mexican restaurant is very close

Jackie was an amazing host! She is very willing to help with any questions. She was fun to be with and lives close. The beach was beautiful and safe to swim in. We are a group of 4 couples and the space worked well for us. We highly recommend this property and will return.

We had a great stay at Lisandro’s place. The apartment was just as described, was clean and the bed was comfortable. There is just enough privacy from the other 3 units to feel at home. There staff on site during the day and daily housekeeping, that felt like a bonus. It was also really nice to have a pool. The unit is on the north side of town so you’d probably want to have a car or an atv to get around but you could survive without one. There are restaurants and a small grocery store within walking distance. The beach bar at the end of the street was awesome! Nice people and good food.

Wonderful and peaceful stay at Griss Corner. The rental is much more open and spacious than the photos portray. All the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend staying here for a central and walkable vacation.

Nicks place is amazing! Fantastic, safe, quiet location within easy walk distance to town. Nick was quick to respond to my messages and gave me great local information for my stay. The house itself is more than I could ask for, with all the conveniences and comforts. Thanks again Nick!

Marta is exquisite! Everyone is very kind and wants to help you with whatever you need. Marta will set you up with a tour or taxi or anything you want. The place has a beautiful view of the ocean and everything you need to be comfortable in Quepos. We really enjoyed our stay!

The house is very charming and original and the view magnificent. We did a lot of home cooking and the house is functional and well equipped. The outdoor areas are very private, perfect for relaxation, dining and just enjoying the view and surroundings including lots of birds and iguanas. The outdoor lighting is very well arranged and creates a wonderful atmosphere at night. The property is very well maintained, the pool cleaned daily and the owner, John, and the caretaker, Rafael, are very responsive and helpful. It is a wonderful place and we ended up spending more time “at home” than we had expected.

VERY GRATEFUL FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO STAY IN CALA , THERE WAS GOOD COMMUNICATION AND WE HAD A GREAT TIME THE SPACIOUS AND VERY COMFORTABLE HOUSE IF I HAD A CHANCE WE WOULD COME BACK!!!
