This was smart, stylish accommodation in a rural setting. The location was ideal for trips out to places in the surrounding countryside. Weather did not allow it, but we would have enjoyed the walking opportunities offered under different circumstances. The Retreat was certainly quiet and we enjoyed our brief stay.

We have just spent the weekend at Sarah’s place and we can’t wait to go back. Lovely place to stay - just as described! Sarah was very chatty and friendly and we felt right at home. Wish we could have stayed for longer.

Absolutely beautiful apartment, spotless and had everything we could want. It really was home from home and the view is unbelievable. Directions provided were spot on and we had no problem accessing the property. Annette was very responsive and communication was perfect. We had a lovely break and we will definitely be returning. You really can do as much or as little as you want, Arnside is in a perfect spot for exploring, or if you prefer you can just relax with a drunk and watch the world go by from the perfectly placed bay window!!
