Family-friendly vacation rentals in Anaehoomalu Bay

Great location and all of the practical things a family needs for a good stay! View from the balcony was beautiful, and I particularly appreciated that there were ample cleaning supplies and hand soap, and little touches that were beyond a normal AirBnb, like good pans and knives. StacyLynn was helpful and accommodating and very gracious with our questions and requests. We would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay. Condo was very nice and clean. It was nice to check in a little earlier than usual. The host was very accommodating. My ONE complaint the main area TV remote does not work well. I have kids so TV is important. I forgot to bring adapter for TV. Overall, we had a lovely time. Thank you.

There's a reason (actually, a lot of reasons) this place is rated so highly. The house is beautiful and comfortable. We had a few concerns about staying so far from Kona, but it ended up being one of the best things about our trip. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful, and there's a grocery store, great food and even shave ice within 5 minutes of the house. The kitchen is very well equipped and clean, and so we ate in fairly often. An unexpected perk was all of the beach toys available to use in the laundry area. So nice to have! The caretaker downstairs is also very quiet, and super friendly. And Mikael is a fantastic host. Yes, there are signs all over the house. Some are helpful and some feel excessive. And it can get pretty warm when it's hot outside (90 in November was surprising!), but neither of those things are enough to remove even half a star from this experience. We've already recommended the house to friends, and will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Sandra's home was very nice and has a beautiful backyard. We rented the downstairs portion (with the private pool). We really appreciated the extra amenities provided (beach chairs, body boards, wagon, cooler). We used all of these items when we went to the beach. The yar d, fruit trees, and view are immaculate. We were able to pick fresh fruit each morning (star fruit, guava, oranges). This is definitely an experience that you can not replicate at any hotel, our family really enjoyed this. Great place to stay at Waikoloa in a beautiful villa. The villa had everything we needed for our holiday of 3 weeks - snorkelling gear, beach chairs and umbrellas - and a nice pool and outdoor bbqs.

My expectations were surpassed once I saw it in person. the listing photos were good, but WOW! The place and neighborhood was amazing. On top of that, the Ocean club was exceptional, as was the pool. I've already been recommending this place to friends.

Location was perfect! We loved being able to walk across the street and see the turtles and tide pools everyday. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. The complex was wonderful between the pool, spa and barbecues. Views were gorgeous. Easy check in and check out. Will be back for sure!

Spacious condo close to shopping and restaurants. Beautiful sunset views from patio. Walk to pool, gym a great plus. Quiet neighborhood in a gated community with gorgeous landscaping. Peter was very accommodating and responded fast. We enjoyed our time there.

This is the best place to stay in Kona!! We couldn't have been happier! Rosalba was a friendly, kind, and helpful host who provided clear instructions, local recommendations, and a clear list of amenities that gave us a great outline of what we would need to pack and what was already there. The house was spotless and there were all the needed kitchenware to make home cooked meals. We loved the open space between the kitchen and living room and having coffee on the beautiful deck was so delightful. We loved watching the geckos climb the trees and the birds sing. This house has a lot of fun accessories for the beach. Super close to the beach and just a short walk to great waves and snorkeling. We highly recommend this rental and can't wait to return in the future.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Being gated made our family felt safe. From time to time we never locked our doors. The turkey was awesome. The landscape beautiful. Great landscapers and easy check in. No hassle no wait time. Parking was plentiful. Home was clean, master room suite was amazing and the bathtub my favorite. Bed comfortable and the rooms are huge with plenty of space to roll around. Supplies were just enough. Plenty of equipment in the garage. Swim shoes, hats, bikes, kids scooters, life jackets, boogie boards, carts everything was there, no need to bring anything. All beach items were inside the garage. Kitchen had everything. Don’t go shopping yet until you check out the house. Costco near the airport and Walmart. The drive to the location was easy and smooth. The pool in the backyard area was awesome. I think we spent more time in the pool than the beach. The beach club and lava club was awesome. Recommend beach shoes the beach are a little rocky. Will definitely return.

Everything was as it should be - the house was clean, equipped among other things with towels, sunbeds, dining table, grill, washing machine and dryer, detergents. Kitchen was well equiped as well.

This place is truly magnificent! This home is above and beyond other places I’ve stayed. Jason has clear, easy to follow instructions; his home has every amenity you need; he has all the necessary beach gear and more; the location couldn’t be better and the view off the lani is unbeatable. This is home is a 10 out of 10!

What an absolutely stunning property! The Kona mountain home was exactly as pictured and described, plus more! Any amenity we could have wanted was already provided. The house had multiple cribs available for my infant, beach gear (towels, snorkels, water shoes, kayaks, volleyball, etc), a fully furnished kitchen, linens, board games, books, the works! This house truly is a home. We felt so comfortable and relaxed in the beautiful cloud forest and enjoyed the chorus of the birds every evening.

Lorelle’s place is a gem. It was a memorable part of our stay in Kona as she was a great host and made us feel at home by giving us a tour of her property and even invited us to pick avocados with her. She has chickens and brought us fresh eggs which we made for breakfast each morning and she even made us banana bread once. It’s a nice location if you’re looking to feel like you’re on an island while still being a close driving distance to the town of Kona. Her place was very comfortable and was also peaceful at night hearing all the sounds of nature. Will be staying here on our next visit!

We love this home so much! This was our second stay at this location and it is just so beautiful and peaceful. The hosts are amazing and the home is immaculately clean and extremely well appointed. Everything we needed was available upon arrival and the proximity to shopping, restaurants and activities are all within walking distance. We booked tons of tours and activities this trip and all were a short drive away. We highly recommend this location! We spent so much time indoors this trip just relaxing, watching movies, cooking and eating. This is one of our favorite places to stay and simply cannot wait to return again and again.

Excellent location and beautiful Island home. Dave was super responsive. The views are something else, particularly at sunset. Would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a Kona gem. I am coming back!!

Absolutely stunning home filled with the cozy amenities to help complete that tropical vacation. A short downhill walk to a beautiful view out into the ocean across the island fields. As fresh visitors to Hawaii, the sulfur smell caught us off guard, though it’s very easy to open windows and air the place out. Snorkel gear was extremely appreciated, as rentals cost a pretty penny, as were the fresh lemon+lime trees :) 10/10 would stay again!

Ninik was a great host. Very communicative, quick responses, and helped me troubleshoot a couple things. The space is absolutely beautiful, it was perfect for our visit with our son, wife, and two grandbabies who live on the big island. They stayed with us and the floor plan worked out awesome. We loved the pool, and the privacy as our grandbabies were able to ride their bikes and play in the driveway. A beautiful island find.

We spent 9 fantastik days at Richard’s place - my husband, our 5-year-old daughter, and my mother-in-law. The pool, the stunning views, the sunsets, and the lush surroundings with singing birds and flowing water made it all so peaceful. The beds and furniture were extremely comfortable, making it easy to unwind. The information guide was very helpful, and there were plenty of books and games for both adults and children. Richard was a very responsive host, clearly passionate about his home, the environment, and his guests’ experience. The house was well-stocked with everything we needed—truly a home away from home, not just a rental. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Mahalo:-)

Check in was easy, clear instructions. The airbnb had everything we needed for our vacation! Loved the location, it was private and the amenities of the community.

The condo was well located for everything we wanted to do on the Big Island, and Brad was a proactive and highly responsive host. So much so, that I recommended to someone I met while there who has family coming to visit.

Tim and Dana’s Honu Hale is a lovely home away from home. It is well equipped with all the amenities needed for a fun filled time on the Big Island with close access to the condo pool and neighboring golf course.
