The cottage was very well thought out, nicely and sympathetically designed and decorated inside and out, the beds were comfortable (a very important thing). There are steps in and out. The best thing was a pub doing food a minutes walk away on the same side and a very nice cafe about the same distance on the other side. The locals were also very friendly. Win win! 5 stars.

Long weekend stay to visit friends at the end of February. Lovely cottage. Spacious inside. Super comfortable bed with crisp linen. Aga in the kitchen along with traditional oven. Large sit-in kitchen. Host, Angela had thought about everything to make a guest comfortable, from a welcome basket including home made bread and Yorkshire Brack cake, eggs, milk, to a well thought through bag for a canine companion with treats and towels and suggestions for local dog walks. Small gravelled area at the back of the cottage with flower pots leading on to narrow back lane and an open garage/car port exclusively for the cottage. Peaceful village but some passing traffic sped through (not all parts of the village have pavements) - definitely need a torch at night. Atmospheric Byland Abbey within walking distance and looked wonderful on the crisp mornings walking the dog. Great stay. Would recommend without hesitation!

We had a great stay in the apartment and definitely consider staying again when we are next in the area.
