Farmstay vacation rentals in Alto Alentejo

Alexandra's place was very clean. The house is big and pleasant to live in. We really enjoyed living there. Small inconvenience on arrival discovering that we can't put paper in the toilet but we managed to get there quickly. Alexandra is very responsive and accommodating. There is a mini grocery cafe right next to the house where there is fresh bread every morning, Elsa the owner is very nice. We recommend Alexandra's place because we had a great time at 7.

We loved this cabin, the trails, the lake and the farm so much. The host here is super friendly and kind, and we had a great time in the farm with all the adorable animals. Hope we could bring all the family here again soon.

We had a super relaxed and quiet stay at the villa. The grounds are incredibly beautiful, the view is amazing and the house is well equipped. Eugénia was extremely helpful and was incredibly quick to respond to our questions. Our dog also felt extremely comfortable and we were able to let him run free, as the entire property is fenced. We would come back any time!

Lovely and peaceful cosy house surrounded by beautiful woodlands. The location is great if you want tranquility. The garden/pool are lovely and well equipped with little tables and chairs dotted around. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. A mini supermarket is 8mn away other wise Pombal is 25mn. Flávio is super helpful and friendly. He recommended a few places to go and eat. We loved our stay and would recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The house is in a quiet area very near to all the Knights Templars castles which we wanted to visit. Having the small swimming pool was a great addition. There are lots of good restaurants nearby.

A paradise in the middle of nature. The site is ideal to rest and enjoy nature. Alicia is a sweetheart and was always looking out for us. We were so in love with every corner of that field that we'll be back.

Fady is very nice lady she helped us with everything. Place is clean and spacious.

We had a great stay! The place had lots of space both outside, by the pool, in the rooms, and in common rooms. A very nice dining area outside by the kitchen. The place is quite rural so we were glad we had a car. Without this, it would probably be difficult to get around, and not least to shop, since the nearest shop was about 15 minutes to drive. We had the impression that there would be bikes available, but it turned out that these had to be rented for 10 euros per day. As we experienced the surroundings, biking around anyway was not so relevant. It may also be worth noting that there are two dogs living on the premises that move freely around outside and in common areas. For us there were no issues related to this. Both of them acted perfectly fine. The host is very nice and welcoming. We recommend the place and think it's ideal for a larger group who want a quiet rural stay with a focus on being together. Great amenities!

Casa da Foz, what a place! My family and friends stayed for 4 weeks and couldn't be happier. The villa itself is very spacious, has a great communal vibe but equally plenty of different areas where people can chill so you aren't tripping over yourselves. The pool area was great, fairly brisk but it works well in the summer! The land around the villa is amazing and the views incredible, especially from the roof. Rooms were good size and the bathrooms were fine. Living areas were all very comfortable. The kitchen is a bit small for 12-14 people as is the BBQ but we managed fine. Jorge the caretaker was super helpful, gave great recommendations, and was very responsive. Eduardo the chef they recommended was great and very good value so definitely recommend using him at least once during your stay.

Quinta da Bella Vista exceeded expectations. Dinesh, who checked us in, truly set the mood for our elopement with welcoming jazz music, wine, and cheese. The space was much larger than we anticipated, perfect for our pre-wedding prep. We loved it so much, we added an extra day to soak it all in! Aline and Dinesh's hospitality went above and beyond – their responsiveness to our needs made everything seamless. We couldn't resist adding the delicious breakfast each day (highly recommend!), fueling our explorations of the charming town within walking distance. Evenings were spent enjoying deliveries via the Glovo app, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. The Quinta itself is breathtaking – stunning grounds, incredible views, and beautiful architecture. It couldn't have been a more magical place to celebrate our elopement. Quinta da Bella Vista holds a very special place in our hearts, and we'll definitely be back for anniversaries and any other excuse we can find!

Really charming and peaceful place. Very spacious and easily kept warm by a fireplace with plenty of wood provided. Sandrine and Julien were extremely friendly, and has no problem when I caught an earlier train and asked to change my check-in. I was extremely happy with my stay.

A real little haven of peace. Atypical place, surrounded by nature and close to all major tourist cities. Clean and functional accommodation, with all the essentials for a good stay.

Quinta Brigadeiro is a delightful place to stay. We received such a warm welcome from all the family and all the animals. Within five minutes of arrival we were feeding carrots to their donkeys and their dog. The accommodation itself is well designed, understated and uncluttered. It was lovely to be in a peaceful, rural area but with the amenities and attractions of Évora a short drive away. Thank you for sharing, we enjoyed our few days with you.

The forest house space was extremely cozy. The region is very beautiful, and it was great for the family weekend. The children loved contact with the pets. Mrs. Fernanda was extremely kind to us, and we are very happy with the experience. We hope to come back in the summer!

Our stay at Margarida and João’s villa was absolutely incredible! The villa itself was beautiful, with spacious rooms and breathtaking views, perfectly suited to accommodate our group. The surrounding grounds were equally stunning, providing a serene and picturesque backdrop that made our time in Portugal feel extra special. Margarida and João were wonderful hosts, always responsive and attentive to our needs. They went above and beyond to make my 50th birthday celebration memorable, even arranging a delicious lunch prepared right at the villa. Their recommendations for transportation and tours were spot-on, making it easy for us to explore and enjoy Portugal to the fullest for a short period of time. Thanks to Margarida and João, our first experience in Portugal was unforgettable. We can’t recommend this villa enough to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and well-hosted stay!

Fabulous location, peaceful surroundings. The whole concept of the place was wonderful. Hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. We found plenty to see and do without travelling too far. We will definitely return if we can.

Diane’s place was a perfect little 3-story renovated medieval house for our getaway. Interesting neighborhood inside the castle walls. Nice enclosed garden area for our dog. House was clean and cozy. We took a wonderful historical tour with Francisco. We were unable to dine out due to our dog but used the well equipped kitchen to cook our meals. Walking to the house was about an 8-10 minute walk on cobblestone with our bags and dog but we were told this ahead of time so we were prepared. We’ll be back again. Thanks for a great stay, Diane!

We had a surprise on our arrival because this exquisite beautiful house exceeded all expectations. It is so sweet, neat, full of character, with great attention to little details, such as high quality monogrammed towels, linen, bathrobes & interesting antique pieces to enhance the decor and ambience of the place. Tiago also left a generous present of wine & cakes in the little kitchen, in addition to the basic stocked provisions. The location is quiet, but within an easy 5 minute drive into Comporta village & is surrounded by lovely scenery. I highly recommend this lovely home, we certainly didn’t want to leave & already planning our return there.
