Family-friendly vacation rentals in Alto Alentejo

Miguel’s apartment was great! There were 7 of us and we all enjoyed the spaciousness of the accommodations. The location was superb…close to the river, shops, attractions and restaurants. The apartment was fully equipped and very clean. We had a wonderful time in Lisbon and visiting the surrounding attractions. Definitely a 5 star accommodation and highly recommended. We've traveled around the world and this is one of those Airbnbs you'll never forget. We fell in love with Sintra 9 years ago and this was our first time back, since. We were so thankful we found this place. Great host, incredible location, and views!

Everything is just as described and seen in the photos. Paqui is very friendly and put many facilities before everything. Something to note is the cleanliness of the house. In truth, we would repeat.

Amazing stay! Awesome, communicative and KIND hosts. They left some goodies for us and they were delicious (thanks again). I took the best bath of my life here and I will return just for that haha. The area is amazing. Right across from a Shakar - who have the best breakfast tacos, and a few meters up is bom dia café and around the corner is a more traditional Portuguese cafe (the best). Jorge met us and showed us everything. Ana was always so easy to chat with. They have a garage nearby to pay or you can park with them for free - LITERALLY SO AWESOME! Definitely will come back! Amazing house, charming, beautiful and with a great location, close to hundreds of castles and points of interest . Supermarket and restaurants close by (7 minutes drive). The host is really helpful in anything you need .

The place Sergio owns is a gem in the city of Setúbal. It looks even bigger in person and has everything you need for a great stay. The only thing is that if you plan on going to Lisbon's city center, you will either need to rent a car (which is a 45-minute ride), take the bus (which takes 1 hour and 30 minutes), or take an Uber, Bolt, or cab, so definitely plan that ahead. Other than that, Sergio is an amazing host with lots of recommendations; he is very responsive and available anytime, even when busy, which we appreciated a lot. Sergio's place truly exceeded our expectations, and the experience he provided was by far my most pleasant using Airbnb.

My family very much enjoyed our stay. The condo was very spacious and in a great part of town in walking distance of many great restaurants.

Gustavo is a lovely host, gives all possible facilities and help as much as possible. The house has everything and is very quiet to spend a few relaxing days. Excellent place and host. Even with a welcome gift that makes you feel already integrated

The cabana was a perfect retreat for my best friend and me, staying a couple of nights. 2 bedrooms are separated by the living space, so plenty of privacy. Clean and cozy, easy and friendly communication with the host who gave very clear and helpful instructions so we knew what to be mindful of within this charming cabin. And the location directly on the beach was just a dream. We had the most wonderful time at this cabana! Thank you!

Had an amazing stay. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with any needs. The place beautiful situated, with all the things you need as well a comfortable bed. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

Joao’s place is in great a location. It’s a 2 minute walk to all the restaurants and the beach. And we absolutely loved the town. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The only downside is because it is right in the heart of town it is a bit noisy at night. You have people coming back from the restaurants and bars at all hours and then the trash pick up for the area is at the end of the street. It comes super early every morning and is really loud. Nothing some good earplugs couldn’t handle.

Candida met us at the home and thoroughly went through the home and the community of Cascais. It is evident the pride of ownership by Candida and her husband through the attention to details throughout this lovely home. Very well equipped, clean and comfortable. We went to the seafood restaurant Mare Alta twice, which Candida recommended. We walked to the market on the secret path she directed us to. Thank you for being part of Portuguese adventure.

Annemie is charming and very kind! The accommodation is a true dream of natural beauty. All super organized and exactly as you see in the pictures, actually better than the pictures.

Accommodation ideally placed to shine and do varied activities (close to the sea, close to sites such as castles, place of pilgrimage). intermarche 1km away perfect for shopping. Very nice hosts and I highly recommend it. We'll be back with pleasure!

Stunning home in a beautiful setting off the beaten path. The views from the house are incredible!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience atJoao's place! From the moment we arrived, the host was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The space itself was perfect, especially as a home base for exploring the area. The location was ideal, with easy access to local attractions and stunning surroundings, but I recommend coming by car. The accommodations were spacious and thoughtfully arranged. We loved the large, comfortable beds that ensured a great night's sleep after a day of adventures. The common areas were equally impressive, offering a wonderful space for our family to relax and spend quality time together. Whether we were enjoying a meal in the well-equipped outdoor dining area or just lounging and chatting, it felt like a home away from home. Overall, this Airbnb was a perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality. I can’t recommend it highly enough and would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time at Victoria's place. the views are beatiful, the house is very spacious for a big family/group and was very clean. the pool area is also very nice as well as the cinema area. is very well equiped -kitchen utensiles, bbq, linen, etc. the only improvement point, in our opinion, are the size of the double beds, which are a bit small for a couple :) thank you for the good time!

Impeccable exterior for this kind of rental, sun, swimming pool, terrace, fireplace-barbecue, house "like at home" with everything you need to live there, well equipped with household electronics, quiet despite the "Portuguese" dogs who often bark at night but almost not in our case, quiet in the neighborhood, the market 100m from the house and supermarkets that are not very far either, my favorite beach (Princesa) 5 minutes by car.

João’s lovely home was perfect for us! The house itself was everything we had hoped it would be - absolutely lovely with plenty of room to relax alone or with the family. We took advantage of the tennis court, the sauna, and the pool. The master bedroom was also amazing with its sitting area and outside (furnished) veranda. Although it was in a quiet area, the house was close to two supermarkets as well as the fine restaurants of Sesimbra. I would highly recommend João’s home and would definitely stay again whenever we are in Sesimbra. Thank you, João!

The place was very quiet, with a nice garden area. We didn’t even feel that the owner’s family was living upstairs, since we didn’t hear any noise at all. We had all the amenities needed, and slept very well in comfy beds. The fact that we were allowed to use the parking inside the house was very handy. The communication with Angelina was very easy and she responded promptly to our questions. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice quiet neighborhood, with easy access to Lisbon and Cascais/Sintra areas.

What a fantastic house. Nice pool and very spacious house for our family with 4 teenagers. We enjoyed it. Lisbon close by Magical beaches 7 minutes Stores close by. And a very happy host ❤️

We spent a wonderful time at Cristina's beautiful house. There is a lot to explore in the neighbourhood - very nice beaches, beautiful views at the oceans, close to Sesimbra and Lisabon - a perfect stay for some days. The house was very convenient for a family with two teenagers. They had their own rooms and separate bath. It is very nicely furnished and has very private touch, which we very much liked. Cristina's parents welcomed us and gave us helfpul advices on the area. She was very responsive whenever we had a problem. I can highly recommend Cristina's place and would are considering coming back in summer time.
