A week of rest and quiet! The house is equipped with the necessary for 4 people(we were 3), and the air conditioning made all the difference, on the hot days we had! It has an outdoor area with barbecue and large table in the shade, where we ate all the meals. In the area has good river beaches (Meimão, our favorite; Meimoa and Benquerença),and places of great interest to visit: Monsanto; Penamacor; Belmonte; Idanha, .. San Martin de Trevejo in Spain, etc. António Fidalgo is a very cultured person with interesting conversations. Always attentive to needs. We like it very much and recommend it!

Gorgeous little place, tiny but the space is well managed, we fitted just fine in 4 (with 2 kids). Very well renovated, spanking clean, well supplied with everything we needed, really quaint, we had a very pleasant stay. This house - like most other houses in Monsanto - is literally built into the mountain rock, which is very unique and special.

Beautiful location, great views over the surrounding area. This is a stone cottage nestled in a property with several other small cottages. However, they’re all far enough away from one another that it feels isolated and private. There are lovely winding paths around the property that are well maintained for some short strolls. A lovely studio cottage. The kitchen is well enough equipped, with a microwave, toaster, stove, Nespresso machine + the requisite pots, pans and cutlery. There’s not so much in the local restaurant scene, so it’s a good idea to plan to cook some meals at the property. We really enjoyed our stay and felt refreshed by the peace, quiet and fresh air. Would stay again. Finally, Rogerio was very friendly and made us feel welcome and at home.
