House vacation rentals in Alameda County

This was a great home for our family of 4 (2 kiddos, 6 and 2.5 years). The space was clean and our girls couldn't stop talking about the pirate ship. The house is walkable to College Ave restaurants and the Rockridge BART, and parking was very easy. This may be our "go-to" spot in the East Bay from now on!

Will and his cohosts were incredibly kind, accommodating and communicative. We did run into an issue where the hot water wasn't working but Will and his cohosts addressed the issue immediately and had the water fixed within the day. I was very impressed with how responsive and kind they were throughout our team's stay.

Whitney was very helpful and always responded if I had any questions about anything. I highly recommend staying at her beautiful home because it’s so clean and spacious and it is located in a very quiet neighborhood. It’s also surrounded by so many lovely restaurants and shopping centers. She is very accommodating and is one of the most kind hosts I’ve ever booked with!

First of all, I want to say that this place was beautiful. The furniture to the bathroom to the gardens, everything was spectacular. Kaleen was such an amazing host. She was so kind and understanding of our situation, and allowed us to use her home for a very special event. I appreciate her responsiveness and her flexibility. We definitely want to come back here for the summer! Wonderful place, 10/10

Everything was perfect the house was amazing with its pool and hot tub… Everything mentioned was there but unfortunately the Air-conditioning wasn’t available for the first floor and the fans in the rooms where not enough for cooling. Lastly, Rahel the host was very welcoming and we had an easy check-in. Great communication she was very responsive to our notes…

We stayed at Sara's while visiting family nearby, but her home felt like a vacation in itself. The backyard is magical - we spent a fair amount of time there, swimming, grilling/dining, reading/napping. The backyard (and its myriad diversions) even lured our tech-obsessed teenagers away from their devices for extended periods. Everything was well maintained, no detail overlooked. We also enjoyed the access to a peloton bike and workout equipment. The interior was clean, organized, stylish but comfortable. The sunroom and small courtyard off of the bedrooms were great for yoga or stealing a quiet moment with a cup of coffee or book. Sara was responsive and attentive. Instruction booklet was clear and helpful. The stay exceeded our expectations. We hope to be back.

This house was perfect for our group. It’s a big and unique space, very practical with plenty of living/lounge space, indoor and outdoor dining, great swimming pool, etc. It’s on the older side, but very functional - and has things like air conditioning that aren’t at all givens in the area. WiFi works great, including for work from home. It’s equipped with the basics (and some unexpected odds and ends!), but if you want particular kitchen or bathroom supplies you may want to bring your own. It’s also very easy to pick up anything you need nearby. Would recommend!

This was a really easy stay. No long list of rules. No “don’t touch this” signs, no list of checkout instructions. She simply asked us to put towels in the washer and load the dishwasher and start it if possible. Kitchen was better stocked than any other property I’ve stayed in. They even provided laundry detergent. No complaints at all, we had a great stay. Everything was as advertised. My only comment would be that although it does comfortably sleep six and would work great for a family, I don’t know how comfortable three unrelated couples would be. There’s only seating for 4 at the table and in the living room (though there are also 4 counter stools) and the third bedroom is very small compared to the other

Excellent space. Funky cool retro living room/bar area. The outside space is quite ample and I ate all evening meals out there at the comfy table. Very clean all around. If you have a large vehicle and use the parking, it’s best to back in. Otherwise getting out the driver side door can be tricky. Location is safe and walkable to MacArthur or Ashby BART (~1mile). Also, great restaurants nearby. Highly recommend.

One of my favorite places I’ve stayed. It’s a home not just a rental - safe clean with nice design - it’s helpful to have a car but we managed without one

We had a wonderul stay at Marcy's cozy cottage. It was the perfect size for our young family. We didn't spend much time in the garden (weather), but it was beautifully decorated and the paths were clear for walking (even in the dim light after dark). The (interior) furniture was comfortable and well placed (so often we have to rearrange to accommodate our kids). Marcy was a pleasure to communicate with and instructions were simple and clear. We love the area and there are so many walkable restaurants! The neighborhood was blissfully quiet and the handful of neighbors we encountered were kind and friendly. Marcy's place will stay on our list of preferred rentals in the area.

Very convenient and comfortable accommodation for our extended family over the Thanksgiving weekend.

I booked Maggie’s place for my sister and her friends over Thanksgiving, and they had only great things to say about it. The space was very clean, thoughtfully detailed, and overall a lovely stay. Maggie was an excellent host—warm, accommodating with an early check-in, and incredibly supportive and understanding throughout their visit.

Vilma's listing was exactly as described and was perfect for our family of four. There are three bedrooms with comfortable queen beds and two full bathrooms, which were immaculate. The kitchen had the necessary items to allow for breakfasts and simple meals to be made. There is also a large washer/dryer for guest use. Check in was very easy with great instructions provided in advance of our arrival. Parking was available in the driveway, which was great due to limited on street parking. Location is in a neighborhood that is great for walking and close to SFO and the city. We had a wonderful stay and would return again if we are back in San Mateo.

Megan and Pete were amazing hosts and responsive! Thank you for the great cottage, it was a perfect and peaceful place to stay for my quick work trip. Street parking was very easy! Also, they had literally so many items (toiletries, tools, electronics, etc) if you forget to pack something they likely have you covered. I was too busy with work to check out the cool restaurants nearby but would recommend this for a fun trip too!

We were visiting our daughter who lives in Berkeley married housing so the location was perfect, but without that we would have enjoyed the location because it is close to great restaurants and fun shopping. The house was very clean with two good size bedrooms. There are even laundry facilities in the garage. Fatima was very accomodating and friendly and responded instantly to any question we had. We will definitely stay again if it is available when we visit our daughter again.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at this cozy and well-appointed home in Albany. The space was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. The location is excellent—close to restaurants, shops, and easy access to Berkeley and San Francisco. The neighborhood felt safe and quiet, perfect for a relaxing evening after a day of exploring. Our host was responsive and provided clear check-in instructions, making the whole process seamless. We only stayed for one night but would gladly return for a longer visit. Highly recommended!

Angela was a great host. Always gracious, helpful, and responsive. Her property is an enclave and truly an oasis with natural surroundings and privacy. The property is not on the main road and it is fully fenced with a creek behind it. The unit on the ground floor level so there are no steps to get in. The unit is spacious with a separate large bedroom and full kitchen. The king-size bed and sofa were very comfortable. The laundry room adjacent to the unit was very useful and convenient. Upstairs activity could be heard, but it was minimal and did not bother us at all. Would not hesitate to recommend Angela’s unit to anyone!

Four of us stayed in Nora’s place the week of Thanksgiving. It met our expections-comfortable, good beds, well maintained, convenient location near relatives, stores, Safeway-we would stay there again.
