Vacation rentals with beach access in York River

The location for Melissa’s place was great for me. I enjoyed being near the water and the view was very nice. Lots of sunlight I loved being in the living room area and kitchen. It’s a little loud at night, building and outside. I sleep with a white noise machine, but that would have been tough if I didn’t. I appreciate that Melissa let me in pretty early and also gave me a few extra minutes on the checkout as my work schedule was complicated. I had a bit of a hard time figuring out how to get in. There are several doors and the parking area is close to three doors that you can’t get in until you get a fob. They were responsive when I asked but that probably could have been communicated in advance to avoid any confusion. I’m not nitpicky so while there were a few minor things, it’s great value for the money and I felt safe. My tip: bring earplugs, opt for the parking pass, and bring an iron. I assumed they had one and probably should have asked 🤦🏾‍♀️ I would book again

A great deal for the price! The photos matched the place perfectly and it was one of the cleanest Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. We had trouble checking in and the host responded to the issue right away, and checking out was super easy! We would stay here again if in the area.

Super clean. Comfortable bed and furnishings. Well equipped kitchen and great location. Host was very responsive and attended to every detail. We had a wonderful weekend.

Shawn does a wonderful job taking care of my guys when they are in town for work. It’s difficult for men to be away from their family for work, but Shawn does a great job of making them feel welcome. He has been a great host for my employees.

Very nice place to stay. The suite was large with amazing views of the creek and wetlands. Bonus points for the deck. It was so convenient having a nice restaurant just downstairs. Lots of things to do in the area and very close to the ferry if you wanted to pop over to Jamestown or Williamsburg. Some of the furnishings are showing their age (the table and chairs, the fridge) and the curtains are difficult to open and close (the rods are too large so the curtains get stuck). The shower drained very slowly so we mentioned that to housekeeping and they said it would be addressed. Overall, we would stay here again!

Felt like home

Great stay! The apartment was clean, today, and warm. We had no issues with the stay and would definitely come back again at future stays. Only issue was construction right outside. But that’s only temporary.

This place was amazing, my family and I do Airbnbs all the time when we travel and this is hands down the best! the house was super clean and had everything u need literally everything down to laundry soap. I will be back there next time I’m looking for a place in the Norfolk area

Beautiful view from the couch into The Chesapeake Bay. This was a staycation for us… we live near Chic’s Beach. The location was an area we had not explored yet and finally got to do so!

Had a great stay at this property! Super clean & well appointed. Lots of space for a big family & ridiculously close to the beach. Great for families with kids or a gathering of older couples.

Really nice place to stay, easy access and has great room for two people

Exceptional Airbnb host - communication with Diana was so easy and friendly. The first feeling when I walked in was "wow!" It's a very nice space and clearly the result of thoughtful curation by the hosts. The home was well-stocked and clean, which made the stay feel easy/relaxing - there were thoughtful touches in every room, from the very well-stocked kitchen to the shampoo/conditioner/body wash in every bathroom to the pillows of multiple firmness levels making it easy to find one that worked for me. So nice to have a washer/dryer while traveling too. And the very clear instructions on check-in and check-out also added to the sense of ease. One flag for those with small children is to pay special attention to the photos of the upstairs balcony rail and stairs - the gaps are fine for anyone who isn't a baby/toddler, but we chose to make the toddler room the downstairs bedroom, rather than having him walking around upstairs at all, just to be extra safe.

This is our fourth? fifth? stay at Sundar's lovely spot. Private, gorgeous beach out back, great expansive views out front with ships in the distance. Home is very comfortable. We are always there in November so don't swim, or kayak, or fish. Just enjoy the comfortable home and the walks on the beach. Sundar is always very responsive and available. Kitchen has everything you need. Appliances are great. Beds are comfortable. No clutter of owner's cast-offs which many airbnb homes have. We will be back next year!!

We had a great stay in Norfolk. The condo had everything we needed. Jason had everything needed for the beach: parasol, chairs , sand toys, towels. The placement of the condo was perfect right in front of the beach wich was not crowded at all. The beach was clean and we even saw dolphins. We liked that there were two bathrooms in the condo and that it was more spacious then we expected. Jason was always really helpful with our questions. We will be back.

Had a wonderful stay at Jennifer's condo. One of the cleanest AirBnBs I've ever stayed at, and one of the most thoughtfully supplied and laid out. Beds were super comfortable. Could see the ocean from the windows! Jennifer was also super responsive, replying immediately to any questions. (Communications were very efficient and easy with having added my husband and parents to the reservation even though I booked it, so my mom was able to reach out with questions independently of me since they arrived before I did.) The condo is easy to get to from the main thoroughfare in Norfolk and worked very well for going to and from my brother's house. Parking was never an issue even with 2 cars. Would definitely stay again! Hopefully get to experience it during beach season next time :)

I recently stayed at this fantastic Airbnb condo in Hampton, VA, near Buckroe Beach, and had a wonderful experience. My family and I planned the trip to enjoy both the beach and the Halloween festivities at Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s “Howl-O-Scream” event, and this location was perfect for both. The condo was only a 5-minute walk from the beach, making it easy to relax by the water, and it was also conveniently close to great restaurants we all enjoyed. The Airbnb itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a welcoming place to unwind after our outings. The check-in and check-out process was straightforward, and our host was incredibly kind and responsive whenever we had questions. Overall, I highly recommend this Airbnb for anyone looking to enjoy the Hampton area, especially with plans to visit both Buckroe Beach and nearby attractions like Busch Gardens!

Hands down - this is one of the best experiences my family and I have ever had in booking an airbnb. Home was beautiful (much larger than the photos depict!). My 3 and 1 year old girls had an absolute blast, and they even had a high chair and pack and play brought in for us ahead of our approved early arrival. My husband is deployed in VA and it made everything so much easier. The view was gorgeous and we had everything we needed. I even got a relaxing bath in the master bathroom! Thank you so much for the quick responses, early check-in and welcoming stay. Truly made my week!

Gayle’s place was a great location to stay at with our dog!!! Great neighborhood to walk him in and the marina/beach is an added bonus! Gayle was very communicative and check in was easy. The space of the condo was great for a family and large dog! We will definitely be staying again!

This was a perfect spot for us! Close to a supermarket and Starbucks, as well. Highly recommend.
