Beautifully designed house with refined and chic furniture and fixtures. Host Minmi was so sweet and helpful, she explained how everything worked in the bathroom and we were able to do a load of laundry as well. She welcomed us with fresh bread and jam from a local bakery as well as champagne! She recommended a wonderful ceramics artist where we bought presents for our friends and also cooked us an amazing dinner of fresh local fish tacos which was a highlight of our whole trip! Very communicative and also did not bother us the whole time so we had our privacy as well. Highly recommend this elegant seaside house!

I had a very comfortable stay! There were plenty of exciting facilities such as BBQ and sauna, and I felt like I didn't want to go home yet!

This is a beautiful place right on the ocean as pictured. The interior is modern and comfortable and the hosts provide ample towels and amenities. The location is excellent, with a Coop supermarket about 10-min walk away, a picturesque small harbor even closer, and Kashima just a 3-min ferry ride away. The village of Hojo is very nice (atmospheric alleys, wooden houses, beautiful shrines, some fields, small fruit stands, great waterfront) and interesting to explore on foot. Side trips to Kashima with its deer and beautiful forest, as well as a short train ride to Matsuyama City with its beautiful castle were also great. The hosts Masahiro and Marie always responded to queries promptly in a friendly manner and even left us a delicious treat, which was super nice of them. Highly recommended, we would love to visit again.

I used it as a graduation trip with my daughter and her friends from Kagawa Prefecture.A guest house that suddenly appeared in a quiet residential neighborhood.The entrance from the road was narrow, and I was nervous about big cars. The house was more spacious than I thought, and the rooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy, which was very pleasant. The yogi bo and hammocks were so great that I couldn't move when I sat in them.You can spend time without getting bored even when you're staying at the accommodation, with a table that can be used as a ping pong table and a large screen projector. We arrived later than planned, but communication after check-in was smooth and they explained things politely. I visited on a slightly chilly day, but the room was warm and I had a relaxing time. At night, laughter and conversation from inside the room leaked out a little, and at a late hour, you may need to be a little careful about the neighbors even inside the room. The bathtub was tiled deep, so when I entered with a small amount of water, I was surprised when I was held against the wall that was not immersed in the water.I recommend using plenty of hot water. It was just girls, so in the morning we were all competing for the mirror...There were two mirrors, one in the bathroom and one next to the kitchen, but it would be fine if there were only a few people, but if there were a lot of people, we had to wait our turn. Also, it's just right for tall people to sit, but the mirror is a little low, so if you're standing, you have to bend over to see yourself. Is it difficult for men to use? I'd love to have a full-length mirror at the entrance. Did you tell me about a recommended bakery nearby? Unfortunately, I couldn't go because it was closed. I'd love to get revenge. There was a 24-hour supermarket right next door, so I had no trouble with food or daily necessities. It was only for one night, but I enjoyed it very much.For the children, the time spent with friends became a cherished memory, and they said they wished they could have stayed longer. Next time, I'd love to stay with my family and friends. Thanks for your hospitality.

This is a quiet and comfortable living environment. When I came here, I saw the stars in the sky, met friendly new friends, tasted fresh seafood dishes, and most importantly, met the enthusiastic and sincere Host who arranged everything for us!I love the feeling of being relaxed and calm, and I can get closer to myself!I'd love to come back to Changshima and recommend my friends and family to stay!

Yuko-san was great. She sent photos of the turn-off to get to the place, as it is not well-marked from the street. She met us upon arrival and showed us around. The road to approach the place is steep and narrow, and it was quite challenging to turn around at the end, even in a small car. We had an entire house, and it was quite spacious. Some areas seemed worn or older, and perhaps in the middle of a remodel, but it seemed fairly clean overall. Some of the ceilings were quite low, and passages between rooms were even lower. We had a couple of spiders as visitors, but nothing too strange for being in the country. The beds were quite hard, but I found some extra padding and was OK when I used that with the original bedding. It was nice to have an actual couch, too, as we haven't had many in our month in Japan. Yuko also had fresh produce and sauces we could eat/use for cooking. The kitchen was well-equipped and easy to use. Wifi worked well. We would gladly stay here again!

It was kept clean and I had a comfortable stay.

This place was awesome and even though I was a solo traveller I used all the rooms. The kitchen had everything I needed to make simple meals (even proper knives) and the bathroom/ shower was spacious and clean. Ryoko was a terrific host. She was able to answer all my questions and was so helpful in every way. This was the best value place I think I have ever stayed in, across 3 countries. If you do not cope well with steep stairs (about 10, I think) then you won't like this place. My legs got a good workout using them. Great views from the top floor. Many thanks.
