We loved this place! Location was excellent, peaceful yet only a short walk into town by the river. There are some good pubs nearby for food and drink, plus a Co-op foodstore. The accommodation is on the first floor of a terraced property, up some steep steps. Andrew supplied us with detailed instructions to locate the property, although we only received the code to the key-box on the day of arrival. The house is beautifully furnished, and we felt at home straight away. The living space, dining area and small kitchenette are all in one room, overlooking a green space. Everything you need is provided. The bed in the main bedroom is comfortable, the bed in the second bedroom was less so. Bedrooms are a bit lacking in storage space, I think the large chair in the main bedroom would be better replaced by a chest of drawers. Also the shower in the en-suite is currently not working, but not a problem as we used the shower in the main bathroom. We'd happily stay here again.

Lovely house in a great location. We spent the night here before going to Legoland the next day. The local Tesco Express was handy for stocking up on food.

Loved our stay with Rachel - the highlight was the hot tub and also very appreciative of our welcome basket! Bed was super comfy and just a lovely tranquil setting. Rachel is super hospitable and helpful. We would love to return x

We had a fantastic stay here with everything we needed for an unusual stay where we needed to come and go throughout the night. Everything was self contained so no need to disturb the hosts but they were very accommodating. It was my first Airbnb stay I booked myself and I was glad to have a “superhost” so helpful and proactive. The accommodation itself is excellent for two people and very quiet and relaxing. Everything was spotless and the breakfast items very much appreciated! Thank you Sarah and Ian!

We had the most wonderful weekend at this beautiful house. The interiors and the grounds are absolutely stunning and it was a perfect place to all get together and celebrate a big birthday, none of us wanted to leave!

We stayed recently at this beautiful cottage. We were visiting Lapland UK which was a 5 minute drive down the road. The cottage is amazing and smelt amazing. Like something out of the holiday film! The beds are very comfortable and the linen is perfect. Beautifully decorated and had all I required. There is so much character. It was very quiet at night so we slept well. Catherine the host is very accommodating and very responsive. Perfect, thank you!
