Vacation rentals with lake access in Williamsburg

We usually stay during the winter (which is so peaceful and beautiful) but were thrilled to have a chance to stay during some warm weather during the kids spring break. We were able to fish, catch some crabs, kayak, enjoy walks and play on the "beach". We had a blast and are so grateful for the beautiful weather and peaceful retreat. Charles place is beautiful and the river view is amazing. Charles was very kind and very responsive. Beds were comfy and kitchen stocked. Plenty of room to be fellowship and have privacy when needed. Decor is nice and makes you feel welcomed & right at home. Charles place is great for a relaxing waterfront stay in VA, can’t wait to return for our next river stay.

Stayed here for a weekend fishing trip. Everything was great! Very serene and beautiful surroundings, the house fully equipped with everything you need to go fishing. We even went out of our comfort zone and tried out the canoes. It was an all-around good experience. The location is not too far from beaches great restaurants, and also a casino. For a small intimate family gathering. The Host sent an extensive and well thought out list of everything you can think of, from to how to get there & what to do when you’re there also he was very responsive.

I stayed at Meg's beautiful home with my bridesmaids for my wedding weekend in Deltaville, and it was absolutely perfect! The house is spacious, clean, and well-organized, which made it a comfortable and relaxing place to stay during such a special time. Meg was so kind and responsive, providing helpful local recommendations and detailed instructions for the house. She truly went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, and her hospitality made my wedding weekend even better. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience—thank you, Meg!

This home was the perfect fit for our large group of 14. We stayed over the Christmas holiday and the place was very accommodating! Larkin was very responsive and helped out immediately with any questions we had. The kitchen was fully stocked and all the beds were comfortable. There were plenty of towels and blankets, dishes, etc. for our entire group. The location is a small quaint town. The Blue Crab down the street had some delicious food but other than that there isn’t much around so you definitely need to hit up the store. The Food Lion is less than 10min away for groceries. Williamsburg is 30min away and Yorktown about 45min away- we visited both towns to explore. Overall a marvelous stay!

The perfect spot for our family holiday! Sarah was incredibly responsive, helpful and friendly and the house felt like a home right away. Fully stocked kitchen, pristine cleanliness, high end touches everywhere while still having kid-friendly furniture and a handicap-friendly layout. Can’t say enough glowing things, we’ll be back!

Great spot, beautiful dock, comfortable beds. We had a great time here with dear family friends. Do note you may need to bring neospresso if you’d like to use the machine. Lovely that kayaks and life jackets were included!

Beautiful and comfortable house and property. Was nice to have a little section of beach and a park setting with a playground just across the driveway. We didn't spend too much time outside being it was quite cold and windy during our stay, but the electric fireplace and the expansive view of the river from the living sofa was very relaxing. The inside of the house is clean and well furnished. The only downside (which wasn't really a big issue) is the shower curtain in the master bathroom keeps falling down. It was down when we got there, so we tried just putting it back up, but it wouldn't stay. We just all used the other shower, so no real issue. Definitely recommend this place for a relaxing getaway. Very quiet and friendly little community.

The place was better than we even imaged! We had such a wonderful vacation. So much space and in an excellent location. Everyone was very helpful and check in was easy. Thank you!

My weekend stay was great. I enjoyed the cozy, comfortable apartment. The host was readily available. I’m definitely coming back.

I would definitely stay here again! My absolute favorite part was the deck outside. It had so much seating and a table with an umbrella. The home was lovely. The queen size bed was comfy. The space on the side of the bed with the wall is awkward because the intake vent is there, and that vent is also loud and annoying. Just wear earplugs! We added two of the wooden tray tables from the closet as night stands. The house is clean except the floor, which I'd imagine is hard to sweep or mop because the boards have shifted, making the floor uneven with cracks through out. So the floor felt and looked a bit dirty, but you're by the beach with sand, so eh not a problem.

Charming Cape Charles getaway! I was so happy to find this gem and even more thrilled when I arrived. From the beautiful landscape of the gated community, to the southern charm of this glorious suite…I wanted for nothing. This enormous suite has all the comforts of home and the location was spectacular. The property offered not only a private beach on the bay , a community pool, a beautiful well maintained golf course, it was also a short drive to the charming town of Cape Charles. Dawn offered endless advice to her favorite restaurants, activities to do and places to see while we visited. She was just a text or call away if I needed anything. Her hospitality was beyond measure. I look forward to coming back.

The place is really cute, cozy and clean. What the pictures show is what you get. The host, Velma, is super friendly and responsive.

Lindsay and Randy are wonderful hosts and The Pearly Oyster felt like home. We booked our first girls trip (4/18-4/20) and truly had the best experience. The group loved kayaking, meeting the sweet pups next door, and making s’mores over the fire pit. We felt the home was inviting, comfortable, and really appreciated all the special touches. Richard was friendly and helpful and quickly responded when a smoke detector started chirping. We loved the proximity to the beach even if it wasn’t quite the season and the yard was nice to hang out in. It’s close to a main road but the layout of the yard with the fence and natural beauty made the road a nonissue. The kids loved having games and puzzles and we appreciated magazines about Norfolk and the surrounding areas. The kitchen was well stocked for the light amount of eating we did in the house. We came for the historical sites but we would stay again for beach season!

The home sits on a nice point of land at the end of a quiet road. It is a nice mix of early 20th century charm and modern with spacious living room, kitchen, and bedrooms. The living room and large deck allow unobstructed views of the water. The home is well-kept, clean, and includes everything you need for a pleasant getaway. And, it is a short (10 min.) drive to the shops and restaurants in Kilmarnock. A relaxing, recommended stay.

The perfect spot for our Winter getaway. A beautiful setting and a well preserved colonial era cabin, perfect for exploring such an historic part of our Country. Quaint local restaurants, friendly people and a country setting handy to the lower tidewater Virginia. The icing on the cake was the fireplace for cozy evenings reading a good book. A Beautiful home with a lovely back yard. Lots of space inside, and lots of amenities for kids. The kitchen was great and had everything I needed. Overall the house was very comfortable, but perhaps a bit under-furnished. Although the listing indicated dedicated office space, I ended up doing most of my work at the dining room table, but that worked well and had a nice view of the river. The network was snappy and reliable. The neighborhood was quiet and the home very private -- My stay was quite enjoyable and the host was responsive when I reached out.
