What a lovely place. Everything present, spacious and bright. But especially special, creative decor nothing is standard or boring. There's something to see and discover everywhere. Nice outdoor space, now a bit cold, where you can sit and enjoy. We'd love to come back.

Our stay at Maarten's place was fantastic! The instructions for check-in were clear and easy to follow. Maarten and Ilse were amazing hosts, always responsive to our msgs. They ensured we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The house is nestled by a serene lakeside, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. It was clean, cozy, and equipped with everything, including a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, bikes, relaxing chairs by the lake. The thoughtful touches truly stood out, like the beautiful Christmas decorations with a charming tree and lovely lighting added to the festive atmosphere. We loved spotting the adorable Big duck family and squirrels near the property and enjoyed a wonderful bike ride through the forest trail, where we saw deers, horses and rabbits. It truly felt like a home away from home. We’re so grateful for this experience and would love to stay here again in the future! Highly recommended for a peaceful and memorable family getaway.

In old farmhouse an apartment made with private entrance, private terrace (on the weather side of the bicycle shed, so you can choose), car in half open barn. Everything available in kitchen, bathroom spacious and beautiful, living/bedroom with TV. From location, you can immediately cycle in the forest and heath. A little further afield also nature reserves km to cycle, peat houses nearby (old shelter/prison) and larger cities idem ( groningen, leeuwarden) In short: good base for everything.

Beautiful and cozy accommodation. The photos reflect the place very much. Aagje is very nice and helpful. The surroundings are idyllic and you can quickly get to Groningen by car and can explore the region excellently. We were there for a few days in November. It was very cozy with the log fire. The caravan is fully equipped and spacious. There's nothing missing. At night, when the fire is out, it can get cold in the caravan quickly. There are electric heating blankets in the beds. The heating blankets helped well against the cold, but with an extra heater for the bedroom it would have been better. The caravan is on the premises of a beautiful farm where there are horses. From the living room, you have great views of the countryside and watch horses on the paddock. All in all a great place to stay and recommended.
