Vacation rentals in Whitestone River

My wife and I stayed in this lovely, modern four bedroom, three bathroom house for five nights in February. The view is fantastic and it was huge for just the two of us. We were welcomed with a nice assortment of fruit and groceries that were much appreciated. It was really nice to sit outside on the terrace, or at the large dining room table, and watch the boats go by and the sun change on the lake and mountains. It is very private and yet right in town. The fully equipped kitchen was great for making many of our meals. We used the bikes to cruise the town and to explore some of the pretty extensive bike paths that run out of town. We really felt like we were living like locals in this house and would gladly stay there again when in Te Anau.

Very comfortable and clean. Comfortable beds (and far more than needed for the three of us). Kitchen was clean and well appointed. All good!

We enjoyed our stay, and rounded off our trip to Doubtful Sound. Really liked the short distance to the lake, which was great for an evening walk and morning swim! The house was very tidy and had everything to get comfortable. The shower and water presser were great! The hosts were very responsive and friendly and even let us check in early. Thanks a lot!

Lovely place to stay for those looking for a jumping off point for Milford Sound. I particularly enjoyed having a bath long enough to stretch out in. Great cafe and restaurant a few minutes walk away.

Linda’s place was immaculate, peaceful, and beautiful inside and outside. We loved using Manapouri as a base for our Kepler Track and Milford hikes. We also loved being able to walk to the lake, Church bar, and Doubtful Sound cruise. It’s close to Te Anu but feels closer to nature. You can’t ask for a prettier view or more helpful host. Perfect stay!

This house is beautiful, the hosts are really thoughtful the kitchen is packed with every utensil you could think of! The pantry is also well stocked. The beds were nice and comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and modern. Good location, 5 mins from restaurants, stores, must do’s like the glow worm caves and the gateway to the Milford Sound it is really an excellent location!

What an amazing and peaceful stay! The surroundings are absolutely incredible…the outside spa was really a treat after a day of hiking and adventure. The entire home was spotless and had all necessary amenities. Highly recommend!

We loved the Tiny Tuis. It was really well thought out and felt really homely. It had everything we needed and more, including a lovely outside deck to relax and eat on. Easy walk into town and to the lake, and we used it as a base for milford sound too which worked well. Would highly recommend staying at Leeanne's place.

Perfect location for exploring Milford and Doubtful Sounds. House was large and very nice. Would definitely stay again.
