Family-friendly vacation rentals in Whitehall

Such a lovely home! I have already recommended it to several friends and family! This house has to have the best location in all of grand haven- so easily accessible to everything in the downtown little city. The hot tub was so nice for the winter! Christmas time in Grand Haven was surprising magical! Buddy the Elf showed up several of the bars and Lucy's felt like we were in a hallmark movie. I'll be returning next holiday season!

Peaceful and quiet place. Lots of things to do for kids. Will definitely come back again next year.

What a great family weekend. We were looking for a quiet place for our family of five and we throughly enjoyed our stay! The lake and beach area right in front of the house was clean and fun to explore with the included kayaks and paddle board. The grill and patio furniture made it easy to grill lunch and enjoy it outside under the big shady trees! We were just a short drive to Lake Michigan where we ventured to enjoy dinner and a spectacular sunset at Pere Marquette park (The Deck - Restaurant) Our host was responsive and very detailed on how to get there and navigate the accommodations! Would definitely stay again!

This property was perfect for our large group...the house was large enough to accommodate all of us, and there was lots to do outdoors: pool, volleyball, fire pit, large deck with table, sand box and play area for kids. They thought of everything you could need inside the house as well--we were very impressed! The only issue we had is that there was a bad odor coming from somewhere (possibly behind the property)...not the fault of the owners, but it was definitely a negative when we were outside (there were times it was fine, and then the wind would shift...). We all agreed it was a wonderful place to gather & we would recommend it to others!

This is our 3rd stay at Steve and Lori’s loft condo. Perfect for our needs for Homecoming/Parents weekend at Hope College. Unique doesn’t do it justice in description. It comes with an awesome story. The condo is perfect in every way. Kitchen is filled with every gadget, beds are very comfortable, sitting areas are comfy & cozy, outside deck with hot tub is private and spacious, location on 8th Street is optimal for dining, shopping and entertainment. We will stay again and again.

Frank and Mike were great hosts and communications from the beginning! The “Palace” is enormous and you can’t even imagine the spaces, convenience, comfort and amenities at your finger tips! It’s really a complete resort in one building! It was the PERFECT accommodation for our annual 1-Day Team Retreat! Thank you Frank and Mike! You are amazing hosts! We had a wonderful stay at Sandra’s beautiful place! It was a perfect spot for our three generation family…cozy places to sleep, 2 1/2 bathrooms, board games for days, space for lounging and toddler play, a great kitchen/dining area for all of our meals, great outdoor space with a hot tub, and access to the gorgeous beach. We played games, cooked meals, watched the Olympics and a movie or two, soaked in the hot tub, had great beach time, and visited nearby attractions. We’ll never forget Lewis Adventure Farm and Zoo, Little Sable Point Lighthouse, and the Cherry Point Farm and Market’s beautiful flower maze. And then the beach time back at “home”….the 163 steps to the Lake were no problem for the 20 mo. old, 75 yr. old, and everyone in between! Many trips to the beach offered windy days with fantastic waves, calm days with peaceful breezes, and evening sunsets with s’mores around a campfire…doesn’t get much better! Thanks to Sandra for allowing us to make wonderful memories

Kym's place is good for your soul. You can rest up and recharge in the eclectic library or go for a long walk and enjoy the historic homes...all of which have something unique to admire. You're not far from downtown, and there are many great places to eat and much craft beer to try. We would stay there again.

We had an amazing week at Vickie's beautiful lakefront cottage in early September. The weather was perfect, and being a bit out of season, we were the only people around so it was very private and peaceful. Vickie sent a thorough welcome message initially with clear instructions for accessing the property, and provided some great recommendations for things to do in the area (aside from spending time on the beach!) She was always quick to respond to all other messages too. The house itself was very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The setting just can't be beat - Vickie's home is on a great stretch of sugar sand beach. We really enjoyed taking sunset beach walks. Lastly, it meant a lot to us that we were able to bring our two dogs with us, and especially since we had to say goodbye to one of them shortly after getting home. We were so glad she had one last beach trip. I can't recommend Vickie's home highly enough. She was an exceptional host, and we can't wait to go back!

This was our second stay at Russ’ and Jade’s. If you’re looking for a peaceful and quiet place in nature..this is it! The cabin is very inviting and clean, and the view of the river is beautiful. We appreciated the immediate response from the hosts when needed. It’s a great place.

We loved our stay at Jessica's. It was a perfect spot for 2 of us and our dog for an overnight stay. The guesthouse faces a backyard patio yard area, which is quite charming. Getting in the sauna after a long day of driving, or after hiking is the perfect ending to the day! Highly recommend this sweet spot in a lovely quite neighborhood!

Place was an amazing getaway for my husband and I. Very quiet and cozy just what we needed. Rob was very helpful and quick to respond to every question we had. Will definitely come back. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

This was my second visit to Robert’s place in 3 weeks. That alone should tell you something. This time I stayed for two nights to do some writing. This space is an invitation to reflect, to create, and to breathe. Robert has a magnanimous personality and a generous hospitality that makes this place so much more than just a good place to sleep although with a quiet cabin deep in the woods, a babbling brook and astounding starlit skies, it is also very much that.

We had a great stay at Ty and Christine’s guest home. It was cute and cozy with the gas fireplace on when we arrived! It was so easy to get in and settled. The laundry worked great, too. We really enjoyed our 9-day stay and would definitely stay again (especially if we have a pet).

What a lovely place! The views are stunning. The home is cozy. It is the best appointed kitchen I’ve seen from an AirBnB. Knives are sharp enough to cut a tomato! The beach is beautiful and very private. We had my 4 year old with us and there was plenty to keep him entertained. Would absolutely go back to this home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chunky Monkey. Our 4 adults and 2 kids found the accomodations and amenities more than met our expectations. The kitchen was well stocked and outfitted for all kinds of meals. Very large living room was great for TV watching and just visiting with everyone. The pool and club house were popular with our group too. We hope to come back soon!

Fantastic beech neighborhood house. Ed is very responsive and very helpful! Perfectly stocked house, very comfortable beds.

We greatly enjoyed the stay here. It was close to our event, which was out in the “back 40”. It’s takes a little getting to, but it’s worth the drive…and the stay.

This was a great place for my and my fiancée to stay while we visited Grand Rapids for a weekend event. We were happy that we could bring our two dogs with us and that they could have a comfortable place to walk and relax while we were in town. I would recommend this place for couples who may have a fur baby or two. This was a very quiet setting within a 20 minute or less drive to Downtown Grand Rapids and an even shorter drive to restaurants. We would stay again while visiting.

We loved the location and outside space at the house! The kids really enjoyed the pool and the beach area too! It was a great getaway to end the summer.

This is our 4th consecutive year of staying at Elaine's home for our Ferris Roommates annual reunion. We look forward to many more years of gathering there. Thanks Elaine for sharing your beautiful home and for always making us feel extremely comfortable. What a wonderful weekend we all had.
