Family-friendly vacation rentals in Muskegon County

Our family had a fabulous time! The place was spacious and very well maintained. The outdoor amenities and lake access were a favorite! Kathy was a great host and very responsive to anything we needed.

What a great family weekend. We were looking for a quiet place for our family of five and we throughly enjoyed our stay! The lake and beach area right in front of the house was clean and fun to explore with the included kayaks and paddle board. The grill and patio furniture made it easy to grill lunch and enjoy it outside under the big shady trees! We were just a short drive to Lake Michigan where we ventured to enjoy dinner and a spectacular sunset at Pere Marquette park (The Deck - Restaurant) Our host was responsive and very detailed on how to get there and navigate the accommodations! Would definitely stay again!

Great place for some winter solitude. Cozy fireplace and nice warm hot-tub. Easy access to the beach and great frozen sunsets from the second floor. Exactly what we were hoping to get this time of year.

This is an excellent choice to stay,. so many options of things to do that are within walk distance or a 3 minute drive to the lake. A few seconds from a little quaint downtown area. She goes beyond to make sure you have everything you need and then some. Plenty of parking and a nice quiet backyard to hang out and relax. We will definitely see if her place is available on our next trip. Great host!!!

Linda and Dave were incredible, the property was beautiful and they were so helpful and kind. My daughters had a blast and we will absolutely be back.

As a family of 4, we look for a home that’s close to activities but also private enough for our family time. Beautiful cottage, right on the beach with lighthouses in walking distance. Thank you for making us feel at home!

It was wonderful. We could go to the beach in two Minutes. We were very happy about the kitchen as we love to cook for ourselves. Everything was there. It was the best Airbnb we had during our holidays. Thank you so much.

This was far and away the best place stayed in during my vacation. Clean, very well stocked with the period furnishings mixing well with the TV’s and internet access. The view is spactacular! Patricia always communicated and was very clear about everything. I would love to return. Can’t think of anything negative. Make sure you can climb a staircase but Patty even checked that with us to be sure it was alright.

My buddies and I stayed at Jason's place while playing in a Gus Macker Basketball Tournament in Newaygo. His place is the perfect cottage - Right on the river, clean, comfortable, close to everything and well furnished. I was so impressed I am looking for an opportunity to bring my wife to stay at Jason's place.

My husband and I stayed a night in cottage #6 in October. It was so cute and cozy, we felt right at home. There was enough room to bring the whole family, which we plan on doing next time! The location is private and quiet with a short but amazing drive through the autumn changing leaves. The views of Lake Michigan were breathtaking, if felt like we were looking out over an ocean. We very much enjoyed the sunset and an early morning walk on the beach. I definitely recommend staying a night, weekend or week in this charming cottage with Jera 💜.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay! My guy and I really just needed a little time away to just relax, just the two of us and it was perfect. It was everything as described but better. You could see the water very close to where we were and it was private And secluded, but not too secluded. We hadn’t even left the area and we’re already talking about how we needed to come back a couple of times at least this spring and summer because we enjoyed ourselves so much. It is a perfect getaway for two. The hosts were amazing and I would definitely reserve again in the future, especially if it’s for one of their properties. Thank you so much!

My husband and I and our 1.5 year old had the best end of summer getaway at Russel’s cottage on twin lake! First off, Russel was incredibly communicative and very friendly. His prompt responses throughout our stay were very much appreciated. We found the cottage to be clean and well equipped with everything that we needed! Russel even purchased a blender for our stay when I inquired about one. The beach is great for littles! It is a good size and kept clean. We also rented the pontoon, which was a great addition to our stay! Our son loved going on daily boat rides. The kayaks and paddle boats were nice to have as well- we utilized both! We will definitely be returning. Thanks for a great stay!

Great Host, great person. The snowed over pond and ducks was beautiful. Dave made sure to check in with us to see if we had everything we needed, and gave constant recommendations for restaurants nearby. Felt like home, definitely coming back with more friends Dave. -JM

Thanks to Chris for his awesome communication. The home was very clean with everything we needed. The location was close to Duck Lake with a nice little channel flowing into Lake Michigan, near to Ludington where we love House of Flavors, Mac Dune Rides, a couple lighthouses and the nice town of Whitehall. Highly recommend Pekadill’s for ice cream, lunch, grilled ribs and chicken on Friday and Saturday. Our family thoroughly enjoyed this home. We highly recommend it.

This was by far the favorite cottage we have rented. The beach area was perfect for our kids ages 3, 7, 10. They loved swimming, going fishing, making smores around the pit, sleeping in bunk beds and watching Netflix! The neighbors were so friendly too. We also enjoyed relaxing under the pergola and being so close to several bike trails.
