Lake Michigan Beach beach places to stay

This house was perfect for our group of 12. We went ATV riding and location was great for that. Wonderful setting that was so extremely quiet and relaxing. Would love to go back just to stay in the house.

There were 4 adults staying for Labor Day weekend. We had more than enough room for all. We have vacationed together for years. We all agreed this was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. So well put together and everything you could ever need. The yard was beautiful, the deck had beautiful views of the lake. The furniture was very comfy and there was nothing more we could have wanted.

Brandi is great to work with and we’ve rented from her for 5 years and already booked for next year!!

Ryan was extremely accommodating. The house was beautiful and the lake was so peaceful. Only regret I have is not staying for longer! Will visit again and definitely recommend!

This place exceeded our expectations and we already talked about returning! It worked out perfectly for an old group of friends (who we all made time) to spend the weekend fishing and eating and all the things to do together! Loved that the backyard is fully fenced in bc we were able to bring along our dogs for the fun weekend too! The guys had fun taking out the kayaks and boat out into the lake too! So that was a fun amenity to the home! Unfortunately the weekend we went, the wind was terribly strong.. so we ended up not using the bonfire (but hopefully we can next time! 😅) - we weren't even sure how the fishing would be due to the weather but thankfully our group ended up catching a couple of pan fish! Thank you for hosting us! We cant wait to return!

Great stay for a weekend away with friends! We had some trouble getting in using the door code initially but the host was very responsive and we worked it out. The kitchen is huge and it was great that every bedroom has a private bathroom.

Our stay for a last-minute golf trip worked out perfectly. Hazel was very kind and the place was easy to access. All courses and Casino were within 15 min radius of the place. Was slightly difficult to find an uber/lyft but we managed. Thank you!

My group of seven stayed at Carrie’s property for a girl’s weekend and it was amazing! The house is beautifully remodeled, clean and sits just two blocks from the beach and about five blocks from downtown South Haven. We walked everywhere and it was so convenient. Check in was easy, the fire pit outside was amazing and overall, we had a great time!

the home was beautiful. You got city and country vibes from the neighborhood. LOVED that it was close to restaurants, stores. Crystal was very responsive. We plan to stay there again next year for a paintball tournament as we enjoyed the home and how close it is for Sherwood Paintball Field. Home was immaculate.

Our family had a great stay at Anna’s house. It was perfect for our family gathering and very kid friendly. Our family loved the spacious house, the showers were nice with great pressure and we loved that the home had everything we needed. The host Anna was friendly, responsive, and ready to assist us. Due to the weather, the stay would be worth a little more in the summer months to utilize the pool (however it was heated which we liked a lot) and backyard space. Overall, great host, great home, great time and I would visit again!

Had a wonderful time staying at Dunetop Escape! The owners were very nice and responsive. Very knowledgeable about the area and made some awesome recommendations. The house was spotless and very accommodating. The house has a lot of usable space and even more sleeping areas! Loved that they made beach days so easy as they had everything you may ever need. Will absolutely be looking to book this location again and look forward to exploring more of Michigan City.

Oh my, where do I start 🥰 Diamond was the Best host and we had a fabulous stay! She's was very quick to respond and resolve a few issues we had, power outage lol. She had everything to make our stay comfortable and relaxing, 😎 And we lived to tell about the Dust Storm of 2025!!😅 We will return.❤️

We love love loved the river house! We looked online after our first night to see when the next time was that we could book again. Caught plenty of fish off the dock and enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen. Beautiful surroundings and our pup had a blast.

This home is a perfect place for a peaceful weekend getaway! We had a great time taking the kayaks out and enjoying the lake, and the house had everything we needed for a long weekend away. The hosts were responsive and kind. Highly recommend!

We were in town for a graduation at Hillsdale College (about 25 minutes away). This house was just the right size for 3 adults and 3 teenagers. It was very clean. The kitchen was well-equipped (I'm always grateful for a real coffee maker and a toaster!). There was plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, etc. The gas grill had a full propane tank. The deck and yard were terrific. We spent as much time as we could out on the deck or the dock or in the yard hammock. The kids enjoyed playing in the sand and water. We also used the kayaks. We didn't have small kids with us, but the house had lots of toys inside and out. It's obvious that the family who own this are here frequently, which makes a difference. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. Would absolutely come back again. Thanks for sharing your special place, Michelle!

Such a great place! This was our second time staying at Chris and Missy’s. We loved it just as much as before. Amazing fall colors, peaceful, and centrally located for all the things we wanted to do. We’ll be back! Chris made sure that we were well taken care of- he’s very proactive and super friendly! We wouldn’t change a thing!

We had the most amazing stay over Memorial Day weekend! The home was perfectly located right by the water, offering beautiful views and peaceful vibes throughout our trip. It was the ideal spot to relax and recharge. We brought our dog, Bruno, and he absolutely loved it too—lots of space to explore and enjoy the outdoors. The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a stress-free getaway. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a serene waterfront escape, especially if you’re bringing your pup along!

Dawn was an exceptional host! She was communicated well and no detail was left out of her communication. The space was nice and the lake was very nice to look over on the spacious back patio. The weather was very cold which limited any outdoor activities other than a quick bon fire! We would like to return someday with nicer weather so we can enjoy the lake more! I recommend Kickin Kountry for some great food and the Bent Prop was a very nice place to get a drink with a great view of that lake. Thanks again Dawn! We'll see you down the road!

This place is amazing. My adult daughters and I booked for girls weekend and we were not disappointed. We loved every minute. The beautiful sunrise and breathtaking sunset over the lake was pristine. Lake neighbors super friendly. Our Host Hanin was a pleasure to work with and super close by should we need anything. We are already planning our trip for next year to this place.

This was our 2nd stay as a family of 4 at Jean’s place. Planning a 3rd trip for next summer. None of us wanted to leave. Jean should get 100⭐️ for value. The kids absolutely LOVE the paddle boat. We paddled the entire lake multiple times! Regarding the area; we went on several bike rides around the neighborhood. Nice & flat, easy for the kids. This time we did adventure out to the town the Albion, about 20 min drive away. The park they have there is great. Playground, splash pad, walking trail & skate park. We also ventured to Fort Wayne zoo, 40 min. Drive. Well worth it if you have kids. They offer several rides in addition to the zoo.
