Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Cottage has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard and everything you need is provided. Bed is super comfortable and shower and huge tub are great. It is so peaceful. There was something very special about sitting in the hot tub after a busy day walking watching the sun set and the hares play in the field. All you will hear while you stay is birdsong.

Wow wow wow, what an amazing place to stay. Stunning house, stunning location. The attention to detail was fantastic, Philippa and Andrew were so approachable, friendly and helpful and they helped to make our stay comfortable. The house was spotless and full of everything we needed. Our children are already asking how soon we can come and visit again. The hot tub was ready for our arrival and the view were gorgeous, what a gem of a find. Very much looking forward to returning to Yoredale House, Thankyou for having us!

Stayed for 2 nights . The cottage is very clean and very comfy. Local pubs are nice and plenty of takeaways if you don’t want to dine out. Nice log burner that made the cottage feel so homely . Would highly recommend thanks Alison.

We had a lovely short break. The cottage is located perfectly for visits to the coast and local towns and villages. The courtyard garden was secure for the dog and lovely to sit in the sunshine. The cottage had everything we needed and Adrian was really helpful. Thank you for having us.

Great few days in this lovely little cottage . Within walking distance of our favourite restaurant (a bit in the dear side but great food ) we walked to the beach around a mile or so from the cottage. John was always quick to respond to any messages via air B&B and also let us know we could get in a little earlier than originally stated. Slight down side can be a little noisy from the road through the village but to be expected due to its position. It didn’t really give us any issues. Full of modern appliances and a modern kitchen. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay at Salt and Surf to celebrate my mum's birthday in lovely Saltburn. The property is very clean and has all the amenities you could need, and sitting in the window seat watching the sea with the log burner roaring behind was bliss! Thank you for an incredible stay and we will be back.

We had a lovely stay in Alex's gorgeous cottage! Such a great location to walk to the centre of town, as well as feeling very cosy and homely. We'll definitely stay again!

Hi Louise and Andy, My family and I loved our stay at Stoney Nook Cottage. It was exactly as described and very homely. My children loved the snug and thankfully a fabulous selection of games we loved using (as I forgot to pack any, so relieved 🤩). Rooms comfortable and clean, kitchen clean and well equipped (frying pan would've been handy for eggs and pancakes, plus a extra baking tray too). Morrisons only being a five minute walk away was very handy and a few extra minutes you're in town with shops and places to eat. We would definitely recommend and hope to be back one day. A lovely place with a lot of room, exactly as described in the listing! Everything was clean and the host was very communicative, ensuring that we had checked in ok. Great place for our stay as we were working in the local area.

Fantastic flat in a great location within easy walking distance of Peasholm Park and North Bay. Lots of great touches in this comfortable apartment and plenty of room for 2 x families of 4. Plenty of parking on the doorstep, just use the discs provided. Mark was a great host and so easy to contact. We'll definitely look to use again.

stayed for one night in the apartment for my friends birthday. it's literally across the road from the town centre, which is brilliant. The apartment is completely silent, didn't hear a peep from anything around us which when you're having a child free weekend was great! lovely and warm. the bed was really comfy too! Easy to find and gain access. I had been sent extremely clear instructions from start to finish of our stay! Id 100% stay again, lovely little apartment!

Our stay was perfect. The location is amazing, right in the heart of York and a short walk to York Minster, which we did every day to “check on her”! Eating places and pubs all close by and in the same street too. Just a wonderful experience in this beautiful medieval city. Highly recommend. And on a clear day you can see York Minster through the roof windows which was delightful.

Great, walkable location with beautiful morning views of the 14th century church across the street. A wonderful experience for kids to stay in a 700 year old house. Louise responded almost immediately to every question and was courteous, helpful and accomodating. The property was freshly cleaned and extremely easy to access.

Ideally located within easy walking distance of the Minster and other points of interest in York. Plenty of on-street parking, as well as a dedicated car park for small vehicles. Well thought out amenities and presentation.

Location was perfect for what we wanted. But the icing on the cake was the sunshine. We had 2 children with us under 7 so the well stocked playroom was a real bonus!

My family and I (7 adults & 1 child) recently stayed at ‘The Cottage’ and we all agreed that it was a wonderful holiday. The house is beautiful, very spacious, spotlessly clean and was well equipped for all of our needs. The hub is definitely the kitchen, we enjoyed playing family board games around the dining table. The gardens are amazing we loved watching wild rabbits, squirrels and cows everyday. It was nice to see home grown vegetables and a herb garden too. Our grandson enjoyed playing football with his dad in the garden, jumping on the trampoline and feeding the fish. It is ideally located for travelling into York and not far from the designer outlet. Our group ranged in age from 2yrs to 78yrs and there was something for everyone to do at the house. We all really needed a family break due to recent illness and enjoyed spending time together making lovely memories. We hope to be able to stay again and thank both Neil and Adrienne for sharing their beautiful home with us.
