Great house, comfortable stay in a good location

Wonderful house in the centre of St Albans. We stayed with our 2 and 4 year old. Very comfortable and warm. Had everything we needed and it was presented beautifully. We will definitely stay again in a few months time. Thank you!

We loved this place! Location was excellent, peaceful yet only a short walk into town by the river. There are some good pubs nearby for food and drink, plus a Co-op foodstore. The accommodation is on the first floor of a terraced property, up some steep steps. Andrew supplied us with detailed instructions to locate the property, although we only received the code to the key-box on the day of arrival. The house is beautifully furnished, and we felt at home straight away. The living space, dining area and small kitchenette are all in one room, overlooking a green space. Everything you need is provided. The bed in the main bedroom is comfortable, the bed in the second bedroom was less so. Bedrooms are a bit lacking in storage space, I think the large chair in the main bedroom would be better replaced by a chest of drawers. Also the shower in the en-suite is currently not working, but not a problem as we used the shower in the main bathroom. We'd happily stay here again.

We just spent a lovely Christmas holiday at Marina’s home. The kitchen was well stocked and perfect for the light cooking that we did. Bathrooms are newly updated and have nice water pressure. The Brent Cross shopping center is easy to walk to for groceries or to catch a bus into town. We loved it so much the kids were sad to leave this morning. We created some nice memories here!

Wow! Absolutely beautiful place you have. The surroundings views are amazing and such a natural and relaxing atmosphere. The pictures on the advert do not give your home justice. So much better in real life. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your beautiful property.

Booked for my boyfriend’s birthday and we had a very lovely stay. The pool room was beautiful and had area for seating with candles etc, definitely worth adding to the booking. The cabin itself was very cozy, warm and intimate. The perfect little escape during the winter months and we will definitely be coming back in the summer as the grounds and surroundings were beautiful. Very helpful and friendly hosts as-well.

My mum had a 4 week stay at the Happy Cottage and it was a wonderful experience. The place is cozy, full of warm details and well equipped. Perfect location to walk to the centre, peaceful quiet and safe. Most definitely recommend for short or long stays and would definitely book again. Hillary was a wonderful host. Very attentive, responsive and kind.

Thank you a lot for this stay. We came across a lot of mishap and that orange juice really cheered us up. The flat was absolutely clean and convenient for the 4 of us. It was a major factorin the amazing trip we had.
