Cottage vacation rentals in West Wittering

We booked this little gem as a last minute half term getaway and are so we did - great location for visiting local attractions such as the Wittering, Chichester, and Portsmouth. Spotlessly clean and fully equipped, Wisteria Lodge (and the hot tub…wow!) is a wonderful place to stay. Thank you to Jane and Jeremy.

Really relaxing, comfortable and peaceful. Superb decking area and private garden area. Lots of places to visit and the setting is lovely. In fact, met all our expectations and more! Really pleasant stay in sumptuous surroundings. Outstanding host!

We had a fab stay here. Scenery was peaceful and pleasant. Nice walks nearby and friendly welcome on arrival. Quick responses to all questions we had before and during our stay. All we wanted in a mini break for New Year. 😊

Our family with 3 children had a wonderful couple of days here. The swimming pool with the inflatables was everything we hoped it would be. The bed linen and towels were very clean and it was very convenient having so many bathrooms. Kitchen had all we needed and plenty of room to eat at the dining table or lounge on the comfortable sofas Near to Chichester when we managed to prise the children from the pool. Justin quick to reply to any questions we had. Children are asking when we are coming back so that is our plan!! Thankyou Justin

We had a great time at John and Philippa’s house. The pictures were very accurate and both the house and the location were great. Everything was clean, the house was super well equipped. The hosts were very friendly and available for any doubts. We definitively recommend the island cottage and would love to go back someday.

Excellent chilled couple of nights away which exactly what we wanted. Easy access to the South Downs and it's walks and super comfy to relax in after a few miles of walking. We've stayed in several Airbnb's with hot tubs and this was the best tub we've had. Large, modern and powerful.

We booked this beautiful space for my mums 60th Birthday and she loved it. Angel and Sam (apologies if I got his name wrong!) were brilliant hosts. thank you for your hospitality!

Me and my husband had a relaxing stay at Alex's place which was warm, clean and comfortable and stylish decor. It was a short walk to the beach which is beautiful and very much enjoyed by ourselves and our 10month old goldie puppy. Alex had left us tasty snacks as well as a local gin which was much appreciated. We visited a local gastro pub the Seaview which was lively with good food and good service. All in all we had a great relaxing stay. Thanks and best wishes Kathy

Don't think anything I can say could possibly add value to this fantastic Airbnb. We lucked out on a very warm weekend in February and very rare to have this property available to us. It is everything in the pictures and more - very comfortable and warm (which surprised us)! Book any chance you get - walk to the nearby pubs & restaurants.

One of my favourite Airbnbs I've stayed in - such a beautiful little home in an incredibly special setting - deep in the forest. Cosy, clean, tasteful and very peaceful. Louise is an amazing host with so many recommendations and very generous with her communication and help while staying. A really fantastic space which I'll look forward to returning to one day.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage and were super impressed with the cleanliness and homely feel. We chose location as you can walk out the door and climb up onto the South Downs with breathtaking views and come home to a lovely log burner and rest peacefully. The only drawback for us was the 10am check out (too early) We were only able to get away for 2 night's but would have loved to stay longer. Thanks for the biscuits they were a lovely treat : )

Our second stay at Caroline and Davids place in six months. This time we stayed for a full week. Very enjoyable, we will be back later in the year. Thank you both for a memorable stay. We love it here.

We wanted a property for our family Christmas. The Crest fitted the bill perfectly - just right for adults, young children, and the dog. The weather wasn't great but it didn't matter as we wanted to spend most of our time together in the house. We really appreciated being able to get into The Crest a little before 4pm as we had all travelled quite a distance. Similarly, a 10am departure is quite early with small children and lots of toys to see to, but thankfully we were not rushed out by Jo. We would certainly like to enjoy the garden on a return visit.

We dont think we have stayed in a nicer Airbnb. Richard and Gaye were so attentive as hosts. Everything in the cottage is immaculate and everything has been thought of. They have gone above and beyond to make a truly beautiful place to stay. We for sure will be coming back to stay soon!

Peaceful location, annexe equipped with all necessary amenities, great place to stay and lovely location . Slept well , owners very friendly and responsive.

Great quirky 2 bed right in the heart of Arundel. As a young family of three we very much wanted a place with the bedrooms on the same floor and this hit the mark. We’ve stayed in several airbnbs over the years in Arundel and they pretty much all have steep stairs, as this one did, which is no exception. Mark actually lives here part time so this place feels the way airbnbs used to: full of homey items, a fully stocked spice rack, cooking utensils etc (so many places don’t even leave you with salt these days). Added bonus were all the children’s toys and books accessible if desired- very much our case. The apartment is in a cute cottage on a public parking lot and at the back of a pub I think, so although there is definitely some daytime commotion, it is surprisingly quiet at night. Thank you mark- the welcome chocolates were promptly enjoyed and we will certainly be back!

We had lovely time this July in Bembridge. Fintray Cottage was close to the beach and also close to Bembridge village centre. We thoroughly enjoyed the big garden it came with. The house has a large kitchen, ideal for a big family or for the occasion of entertaining guests. Will definitely recommend.

We had a lovely stay - lovely house, very comfortable and easy to live in - home away from home! It would have been nice if we could have checked in earlier (4pm felt very late) and checked out later (10am is very early) but apart from that we had a great time and I would recommend the cottage for those wanting a relaxing stay in a beautiful area. It was a bit further away from the beach than the photos suggest but walk is pleasant and the beach beautiful.

Fantastic two bedroom property. I really recommend this for exploring the west end of the South Downs. We walked and cycled several sections during our stay. The property is finished to a high standard and is well equipped. It was great to have the use of a washing machine when we returned to the property with muddy clothes after exploring. We'd like to go back in the future.

The location was perfect. Lodsworth is a great place to stay, close to lots of lovely walks, and Richard's house is opposite the most wonderful pub. There is a village shop across the road, which is extremely convenient. We had a comfortable stay, and the place was spotless.

Exactly what we wanted for a weekend break-a home away from home in a very picturesque & peaceful location.All rooms & amenities were spotless,but the fact that we could use the fireplace and build an open fire topped it all.
