Pet-friendly vacation rentals in West Des Moines

Our whole family loved our stay! The house was beautiful and the beds were extremely comfortable! We highly recommend this home! Thank you for allowing us to stay.

Veena is a great host, she responded quickly and was very helpful. The home was clean and neat and had everything we needed. This home can accommodate a large group easily, with 7 adults it didn’t feel like we were ever fighting for space. We stayed during the Des Moines marathon. Between the deck space, the spacious upstairs, and the living spaces there was more than enough room to come together or separate and relax. The house is located just outside of downtown and there is a grocery store close by. We were fortunate to be able to eat home cooked meals for most of our time there thanks to all of the amenities. We brought a propane tank to use the grill one night and cooked up many meals in advance. This is a great choice for families or groups!

Great place to stay for a week back in Des Moines. My dog loved the yard, and I loved the house.

Hanchaltuu's place was great! I've already mentioned I wish I could have given her more days. My party of 6 came out to Iowa to watch a football game, so we unfortunately were only flying in and out of Des Moines. We came to Hanchaltuu's house the night before our flight back to NJ. Plenty of space for our entire party, nice furnishings and amenities. We loved the little coffee bar and how the location of everything in the kitchen (cups, bowls, plates, utensils, etc) was labeled. Since we were there only one night, it saved us a tremendous amount of time to locate things. We found a few local pizza places that you can order from (they will deliver to the address as well), and there is plenty of stores/restaurants nearby if you need to stock up. My only disappointment...the fact we couldn't spend more time at Hanchaltuu's place! She is a great host and has a great place...give it a try if you are in the Des Moines area!!!

The proximity to the fairgrounds can’t be beat! Having the ability to walk across the street and be to the event I was in town for without having to drive was amazing! The home neat and well maintained. Everything worked as described! Will definitely stay again if I were in the area!!

Tyler was quick to respond to all questions. There was an issue with the furnace and he had someone there within a few hours to fix it. It was quiet and clean, such a good choice for a family staying over the holiday week to visit relatives. We'd stay again!

Stayed a week for the State Fair. Very clean, well stocked and mostly new/renovated. Beds were comfy. One was considerably low to the floor, about 8”, a little tuff getting up & down. The driveway and street is narrow. Neighbors parked on street made backing out difficult with large truck. Disappointed with the screened in back patio. It was uncharacteristically dirty with leaves and debris. Washer & dryer in basement, well lit and very clean. WiFi worked great. Plenty of hot water. We would stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay! Jared was very responsive and had great communication from the initial booking and throughout our stay. The house is roomy with great spaces to accommodate a family or multiple couples. Jared gives his guests a heads up that the property is occupied by him and his kids when not booked (in case something is out of place) but all we felt when we walked in was a sense of a lot of love and fun exists between those 4 walls. We were welcomed with a card and chocolates which I thought was a nice touch. He also provides a binder showing and describing the location of appliances, extra towels, linens, etc. The backyard is amazing and if you have a basketball baller, the court has a free throw and 3 point line. Pretty cool. Also in the back, are nice grilling options that unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to use since our son’s wrestling tournament ran so late. However, my husband was happy with the charcoal options provided. 5 minutes to Ignit Facility!

Came in late and I needed to get a hold of Josiah. Response time is crazy fast. Check-in was really smooth. The place was well put together and clean! Worth every penny. I would love to stay at this place again in the future. 10/10

Great location, very clean, easy peazy!

Great spot. There isn’t a yard per se, which wasn’t great with our dogs. With that said, the place was clean, nice, modern, homey, etc. All that we wanted as our house is being remodeled so we needed a place to escape the construction and noise.

We enjoyed our stay and would recommend! Place was overall clean and spacious. Kitchen was stocked with all the basic cooking supplies we’d need. Location felt safe and quiet. Only downsides - they were out of some of the listed amenities (shampoo/conditioner/body wash) and the bath mat was wet/dirty when we arrived. Check in/check out process was easy.

We loved this space! The location for the DSM Marathon was perfect. So close to everything. It was very clean and comfortable. I’ve read the other reviews for this apartment (prior to booking). I agree that it was a noisy corner with the railroad tracks and the bar right outside the windows. If you aren’t used to urban noise/living, maybe think twice. However, the free earplugs they provided worked great for us. (And the music they played at the bar was great!). We highly recommend Confluence and would stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay! Easy check-in & check-out, clear instructions for finding the apartment. Zero issues with parking - there are open parking spots directly outside of the apartment building and also was given access to garage if needed. The pool was great! Loved that this apartment complex is tucked away from the main roads - very quiet & peaceful. But still super close to a lot of things to do. The apartment was well-stocked with essentials. Clean & homey. Would 100% stay here again!!

This is a small and cozy rental. The back yard is private and set up for families. I cannot say enough great things about this rental.

Great place to hang out. Clean and ready for us. Tiffany was very quick to respond with answers to my questions. We had no issues and would stay there again if we're in town. Enjoyed the house!

Perfect spot to venture out in the city. It seemed as though we were five minutes from every spot we had planned to visit. Enjoyed our visit to Des Moines and we had a comfortable place to stay.

Derek's place was wonderful! Our family of 4 had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. Our kids loved the basement game room, and my husband and I loved having coffee on the deck watching the sunrise through the trees. Even our dog felt right at home! The location is perfect--Valley Junction has so much to offer and it's an easy drive to anywhere in Des Moines or West Des Moines. Lastly, Derek is an excellent host--he is always responsive and goes above and beyond. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great places in the DSM area!

We choose David's place because of it's location. The house was a 5 minute drive to our son's home and a 4 minute drive to a grocery store, which we needed on Thanksgiving Day. Although it is close to a major street, it was quiet.

Great location close to bike trails and food/drinks. Our host was very attentive and generous. Would definitely stay again.

Great location and easy to get to local attractions. Well maintained home with nice play area for small children. We would love to come back again!

We were in the area visiting Iowa State but wanted to stay outside of Ames, it was a perfect spot! The entire house was clean and had everything we could possibly need for a short stay. Rebekah was very responsive anytime I needed anything or had a question. I highly recommend!
