Places to stay in West Des Moines

We had a nice stay here. The house was very quiet and very clean. The yard was beautiful - I would love to see it in the summer.

This was our second stay at Tonya’s place, and we’ll be back again. I travel to Des Moines a few times a year for work, and my family often comes. We enjoy the quiet neighborhood close to a lot of great places to eat and walk. Tonya is one of the best hosts I’ve ever experienced. She very proactive and helpful. The house is great if you just need a small cozy place to stay with comfy furniture and everything you need for a short or extended stay.

Had a wonderful stay at Rose and Jim's place. We loved the cool vibe of the MidCentury Technicolor ranch. It had all the amenities we were looking for, the curated style was spot-on for the experience, and we could tell they tried to attend to every detail. Not only was it a great location, clean, and great layout, but it was also a fun experience to go back in time. Rose and Jim were also super responsive hosts. We can't wait to stay there again when we return to Des Moines!

Best AirBnb we've ever stayed at! So clean, warm and cozy. Comfortable to the max, a bathroom that looked brand new, and thoughtful little extras like snacks and drinks. Awesome bed and linens. We wish we had a reason to stay here more often.

We had a great stay at Amanda’s place. Loved the local recommendations (the coffee place was great!) and the location of the place was perfect for the areas we were visiting. I am grateful for nice places to stay when traveling with two dogs, and Amanda’s worked great for us.

The place is exactly as described, which is great. The neighborhood was great for us but also quiet with good access to the highway. Close to shopping and restaurants while still feeling like you are in a neighborhood. Nice view of the ravine as well. The rooms were a good size, great value for the cost. Would absolutely stay there again.

This spot is absolutely adorable! Very cozy and the perfect size for a short stay. During my stay Jake was very helpful and responded quickly when I was unable to open the garage door (I used the wrong code…lol) I was grateful that the kitchen was well stocked with cookware and utensils, anything you might need for a quick meal is all there. There was also plenty of towels available. This spot was perfect for me to attend a concert at the Val Air Ballroom not far down the road. While in the area I toured the capitol as well as the greater Des Moines botanical garden. I would definitely recommend this spot!

The temperature was the coldest of the season, and it was so nice to have a warm place to stay! I also appreciated the added touch of having the hallway light on for my late arrival.
