Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Wellington City Council

The place was fantastic for our group, large and open downstairs area made it easily accomodate us with additional covered outside space. Bedrooms and bathrooms all great sizes.

Great house in a beautiful location. Excellent amenities, beautiful design, perfect for travelling with pups. A few notes: - The # of steps up to the unit might be underestimated by a factor of ~5. Not recommended unless you're reasonably fit. - The bedroom doors don't latch. There are hook-style locks provided....on the outside of the door. Not a huge deal, just means you need to shove something under the door if you want to keep the dogs from nosing their way in. - The water from the tap gets _really_ hot. This is great for some things (shaving) and less great for others (shower, dishwashing) Overall an excellent spot!

We had an excellent stay at Bex's place. A beatiful well appointed house and Bex was easy to communicate with and prompt to reply.

Absolutely gorgeous house in great walkable location to so many cafes, restaurants and sights to see. Hosts were fantastic, proactive and the treats upon arrival were very well received.

Good location with easy access to the city. Zealandia was close as well. Very peaceful with nice bush view. Steep driveway (not uncommon in Wellington), but we managed it fine (RAV4). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

It was a fantastic lacation for us as our daughters were at a dancing summer school at Scots College. It allowed us to drop off and pick them up as needed. The unit was quiet and was a home away from home as it had all the utilities and comforts of home. Lisa came down to the unit to help us connect to the wifi and this allowed us to plan our days of sight seeing when our daughters weren't dancing. Really enjoyed having the view of Wellington Airport, watching the aeroplanes coming in to land and taking off. The airport was a colourful show at night. Would recommend this unit to anyone coming to Wellington for a holiday.

We had an amazing stay at Jaimee's place! The space was exactly as described — bright, clean, and beautifully decorated. It was clear that Jaimee put a lot of thought into making the space feel cozy and welcoming. The location was perfect, with easy access to local restaurants and shops. Jaimee was an incredible host, quick to respond and incredibly accommodating. She provided clear instructions for check-in and I truly appreciated her hospitality and kindness. We would definitely recommend Jaimee's place to anyone visiting the area, and I would love to stay here again on my next trip!

Great location, everything within walking distance. Easily accommodated seven of us although a second key would have been useful. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a convenient stop in Wellington.

Had a great stay at Laurice's apartment in the heart of Wellington CBD within walking distance of the wharf and loads of shops. Laurice was kind enough to allow a late check-out. 2nd stay at the apartment and will be back next time I'm in WLG. Apartment was neat, tidy and clean and it's always nice to actually meet the host of who's place you staying in. Thanks for sharing your place with me again Laurice, it is much appreciated.

Danielle made everything super easy and welcoming for us. Even with a booking mix up, she ensured we had everything sorted as smoothly as possible. We were in great hands and enjoyed our Wellington stay with this great location!

Fantastic experience all around. The apartment was in a prime location. It was such a great size for 6 of us with plenty of spaces and areas to all catch up in. Plenty of beds, bathrooms. So comfortable. Funky and fun. Great inner city apartment vibe. Great kitchen. Super helpful and accommodating owner. This was a top notch experience. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Ros and Craig were excellent at responding and the place was very clean. I personally found the noise a bit too much, although this is in the listing description and I must be a light sleeper. When i rasied this, Ros and Craig were very quick to try and help figure out a solution and were extra careful to try and not make too much noise in the early mornings.

Modern 2-storey apartment with fun interior design and quirky bathroom features. Bedrooms were spacious and living/dining had a nice view to the hillside. Excellent location being near airport, regular Bus no. 2 to city and Zealandia, supermarkets, Lyall Bay/Cafe and Weta workshop a must. Although kitchenette is downstairs would suggest serving trays be provided to carry cutleries with food/drinks. I'm a light sleeper so planes and wind a bit noisy. Otherwise we had a most enjoyable stay from a wonderful friendly and helpful host.

Location was ideal, walking distance to most of our destinations. Lots of great restaurants, bars, and cafes nearby. Ideal Wellington location.

Gemma’s place was clean and comfortable she was a very responsive host! The flat is in a brilliant location to explore Wellington and we had a very relaxing stay.

This place had million dollar views of the harbor. It was quiet and easy to walk or Uber downtown. While the place is a bit old and quirky, that did not detract from the charm. We were very glad to stay there.

What a great host! In a world where AIRBNBs are increasingly operating by third parties, it was a very welcome relief to come across a place that was obviously set up for the convenience and comfort of its guests. Really appreciated Wayne’s thoughtful additional touches like books, guides and leaflets. Also very grateful for generous provisions. Be warned that the location of this AIRBNB is on the steep side of Wellington! The pay off is spectacular views! While we were relying on walking in and out of the city, the location was still doable. It’s a steep climb but very convenient. Our party of 4 found Wayne’s place super comfortable and very peaceful. Wayne was also a perfect, thoughtful and accommodating host. Thank you Wayne for a memorable stay. Look forward to another visit sometime.

Matched the description and the photos. Spacious apartment, excellent shower, shower and kitchen, nice view, good location.The building is not the most modern one but is clean, good location, elevators in good condition. Maria is very nice and proactive. Thank you!

Nice location near lots of restaurants, yet still quiet. Clean and full of amenities, felt right at home. Stephanie provided excellent instructions on how to access the unit. A great find!

Loved Craig's place!! Fantastic view of Wellington Harbor and city area. Walking distance to local attractions and cafes, including the fantastic museum. Unit was well stocked and very comfortable. Communication from Craig was excellent. Highly Recommend!!

Our 2 staff stayed at Emily's place and it was just what they needed for a short stay. The location was great and Emily was great to communicate with.
