Cynthia’s hospitality began before we even arrived. We had something come up suddenly the day before our trip and she was very accommodating. The cottage is even cuter in person, if you can believe it! It has that old world charm, but is very up to date in terms of having central air, new windows etc. The surroundings are beautiful and you wouldn’t know it is just minutes from the center of town. It is also very close to many award winning Virginia wineries! Cynthia has such an eye for detail. All of the little extras she adds to the space made my husband and I feel at home. For example fresh cut daffodils in the sitting room and fresh eggs in the fridge. We are already trying to figure out when we will be back!

The Historic Lodge was perfect for our large group to celebrate our son’s graduation from JMU. It was a beautiful home. We loved the Hummingbird room with the fireplace. Cindy was a perfect host and very responsive to us during our stay. We would love to go back again when the weather is warmer to enjoy the beautiful front porch and property. We would highly recommend Cindy’s place.

This was my second time to stay with Susan after a wonderful first visit. Since I was the only guest, the shared living area was very spacious. I especially had fun throwing a frisbee to their dog, Apache. Susan is very faithful and hard-working to make a sumptuous breakfast every morning! I plan to return when I’m in the area.

What a fun stay! We got to witness the most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen here. The animals on the farm are so friendly. I was able to take my dog for the stay and he met bigger animals for the first time and they became friends instantly. I loved what they have done with opening up the family farm to enjoy. It was very personable and they made us feel like family. The homemade country breakfast was also one of my favorites. We were visiting the area hiking and decided to stay since it was a few hours away and I am glad we were able to stay here. Although our visit was short, it was sweet. Thank you for welcoming my family.. beautiful stay.

Home was lovely, clean and had good supplies in kitchen. Coffee selection was great. We felt safe in the neighborhood and had no issues with parking. It was quiet at night especially for a holiday weekend. Rooms are spacious enough, clean and good linens. No tvs in bedrooms but large one in family room. The primary bedroom has the bathroom connected in the room that is separated by the closet and there’s no door for extra privacy if you need it. Other full bathroom has a door. Beautiful home with interesting decor! Easy to navigate to all wineries and downtown life!

"We had a wonderful stay at Jason’s place! This was a last minute get a way for our family with plenty of room for 7 adults and 5 kids ages 7 and under. The space was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located for our needs. We did have a minor issue and Jason had someone out within 15min to take care of the situation. Jason was very responsive and accommodating, making our check-in and communication seamless. We would definitely recommend this listing to anyone visiting the Shenandoah area.

we had a lovely sleepover. i have never stayed in an airbnb where the host lives among us. i was surprised as to how easy it was for me to feel comfortable and safe and happy. i was sad to go. having breakfast prepared for us at the hour we requested evoked a feeling only akin to that of my late-grandmom. the quilts atop the beds and sofa were so beautiful, i almost dared myself to ask if susan would ever have some for sale… thankful to a site like airbnb to allow me to find such a pleasant, beautiful home to stay in overnight on our long journey home

We loved staying at Pennmeryl farm in the cabin-ette. We were sharing the farm with a large motorcycle group, which really added to the experience! Everyone we encountered, from the staff to the other renters, were friendly, conscientious, and kind. The new pool was really clean and was a great space for relaxing after a day of exploring nearby Staunton. Comfortable beds and a good sleeping environment (dark and quiet). The breakfast really was incredible. We can’t wait to stay here again!

We had an amazing time at Everette Estate. We booked the suite and it was super nice. Tons of space, stocked kitchen, comfy bed and a lovely bathroom with an awesome jetted tub. Everything was clean. The only thing that we would suggest is getting blinds for the skylight. The natural light and views are awesome, but the sun at 630 every morning was bright. Other than that, superb! All of the common areas were nice and had everything you need to hang out and be comfortable, fire pits and the outside area were very nice as well. You cannot beat the location either! We’ll definitely be back.

This Airbnb has it all! Tori left us toiletries, tea and coffee, and a breakfast bar. It was wonderful to enjoy breakfast without having to go anywhere. The bathroom has amazing heated floors and plenty of great towels. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of extra linens were available if we had needed them. There were even bathrobes in the closet! I spent some time working on the large side porch listening to the birds. It was much better than my office! Tori was very communicative and gave us clear directions and parking instructions. You will experience true Southern hospitality staying here.

Such a beautiful place to unwind for the weekend! It’s conveniently located close to the south end of the Shenandoah NP, and there are multiple breweries and vineyards nearby if you aren’t up for hiking. Mary and David were wonderful hosts and we definitely enjoyed our interactions with them (and the furry friends). The house itself is big and homely, with a huge backyard and there’s also a patio for stargazing on clear nights. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway!

Martin and Kathy have a lovely Inn. They are super nice and welcoming. My husband and I stayed for two nights to explore the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Fall foliage, which was amazing. Having homemade bread and cakes with a hot brew coffee at the porch chatting with Martin in the mornings made the experience even better. We highly recommend this Inn and will definitely stay again. This was my second stay with Kathy &Martin. They offer a very pleasant experience and put out a breakfast spread of breads, delicious cobbler, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc. They offer a very pleasant spot to stay in this area. I would not hesitate to book with them again.

This was our second stay with Linda and Putter and we expect more in the future! Highlights for us are the incredible breakfasts, the big bathtub, and the exceptional warmth and hospitality of our hosts. They went the extra mile to make our trip special and we really appreciated it. Everything was comfortable and clean and we had a great view of the stars at night from the balcony. As far as location goes, it's about 30 minutes to an hour to most of the popular hiking destinations on Skyline Drive. We also liked Shenandoah River State Park for a change of pace during peak bluebell season. Linda's food really is the best we've had in the area but we enjoyed West Main Market's sandwiches and beer garden after day on the trails.

We stayed here in Nov 2024. Ms Linda is a great host! The listing mentioned a continental breakfast. That’s the only inaccurate thing about the listing as her breakfast was outstanding! It’s a full blown meal and delicious! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Clean, cozy, remote, rustic and relaxing. Very nice setup indeed. We will definitely stay again in the future. Highly recommended!

This was the second time we stayed at Heritage Hill B&B. We loved it so much we came back and brought friends. It was just as nice the second time. We stayed in the Blue room last year and the Gold room this year. Both are beautifully decorated. We also had use of the living room and the patio with fireplace. Scott had a fire ready after our day of hiking and visiting wineries. The views are breathtaking. Dana makes a gourmet breakfast each morning and they both provide great ideas of things to do and see. We will definitely be back!
