Our family enjoyed an early Thanksgiving at Sarah’s place and it was lovely and cozy. The wood stove was super easy to use, the kitchen was well-stocked for prepping food and the coffee was excellent. Everyone expressed how comfortable and clean their beds and bedding were. The hot tub was so nice on a cold and cloudy day too! It was a private, out-of-the-way location within the beautiful redwoods. Thanks, Sarah!

Wow! I don’t think pictures do this place justice! This place is so amazing, nestled on a creek in the woods with giant trees and so many outdoor spaces to enjoy. The little cabin was all I needed with a yard for my doggies which I appreciate so much because my dogs are so important to me. They loved the creek area and plenty of space to roam off leash. I will never stay anywhere else when I come to visit my family in Santa Cruz. It is just 10 min from downtown, but you are in the forest! The mattress is super comfy, the cabin was very clean, warm, and had everything I needed. Emkay was super hospitable and greeted me when I arrived, everything was smooth. I HIGHLY recommend this place, it is just amazing. Goodbye hotels!

deserves 10 stars. Great place, well cared for and has everything you need for a fun vacation. it was a colder weekend when I visited; the home was toasty warm when I arrived. It is such a great place, I am so glad to have chosen this over a hotel. GREAT experience and hope to come back for future stays

Wow, wow, wow! This place was more than I expected. My guests were amazed too. The attention to detail, the beauty of the renovations, the warmth of the fire, the perfectly stacked pile of firewood, the shampoo/conditioner/soap in the showers, the little bag of coffee grounds, the warmth of the lower level radiant floor heating, the tidiness and carefully thought-out layout of the yard, the smart house system and more, all this made us feel like we were family. A beautiful experience. Thank you!

Perfect location for peace and quiet inside and out . Gathering 'round the warm glow of the fire pit, feeling the stresses of the day melt away enjoying a drink a cigar for the first time along with a couple of s'mores was the highlight of my evening.

Wonderful and cozy stay. Very close to Pinnacles East Entrance and the ride in was filled with gorgeous views of the mountains and farms. Space was clean and private -- quiet mornings surrounded by nature and the local animals (no smell!) and dark private evenings.

The Cabin was incredible! Breathtaking views and fully stocked game room for kids and those young at heart. The bedrooms had good quality beds and linen. The bathroom was clean and modern with a large quantity of towels. The kitchen had everything we needed and we were able to cook delicious meals. Ernesto was proactive in communicating and alerted us when we accidentally turned off the timed lights outside. Our family of 12 had memorable moments in The Cabin during our stay in the Fall, and we recommend it to anyone wanting to have the ‘cabin in the woods’ experience.

Robins place was amazing. My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. It’s the perfect place for a quiet getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay in Soquel at Todd’s lovely place. It was beautiful and the perfect space for a private getaway and relaxing end to a busy trip.

The Green Cabin was exactly what we needed for a few days away from city life. The cabin is completely off grid and surrounded my nothing but nature. The cabin is well decorated and in amazing condition. Laurel was responsive and was quick to address any issues or concerns we had. The private playground nearby was amazing!!!! Our 6 year old went daily and it made the trip extra special.

My friend and I wanted to have a relaxing and cozy writers retreat. This place checked all of our boxes. Beautiful nature views from every window, fireplace, and warm atmosphere made our staycation feel like we were further away from home than we actually were. We had a great time and more than likely would come back again. Loved our stay. Comfortable beds and lounge area. Clean kitchen and bathrooms and very well stocked. Would recommend for anyone who actually wants to spend the whole time at the house and enjoy everything it has to offer.

We spent three nights in this gorgeous vintage cabin. it was incredibly peaceful and comfortable. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor spaces, couldn't believe how amazing the wrap around deck was! Our hosts were so very friendly and helpful. We stayed during an extreme heat wave and were a little concerned that the cabin would be hot without AC, but it was totally fine! We opened windows at night. Even during the heat of the day, we chilled out under a ceiling fan and were totally comfortable. We can't wait to go back!

We loved staying here! There were lots of toys and bedding for our baby girl. There was a lot that was included when we got there like snacks. Great place!

This is the second time we stay at Kathleen’s every time for around 20 days because my daughter lives close by with her family so very convenient for us . It has a cute garden and Kathleen is a very good host .

this was a unique place to stay while visiting and hiking around big sur. his house is about 5 miles up a narrow dirt road that is very steep and scenic (about 20 minutes of driving once you turn off of hwy 1). he coordinates with you during arrival so that you can follow him during the last couple of miles. we had a two wheel drive SUV and it is a miracle that we made it up the steeper sections. he was accommodating with our arrival as we were arriving later at night (about 10:30 pm) the cabin is above the clouds. it is very remote and you feel like a zen monk gazing down upon the world. if you are seeking a stay that offers isolation and contemplation then this may be for you. there were three grown men in our party and there was plenty of room for us to sleep. the cabin is running on solar panels/renewable energy. so the power and wifi were intermittent during our stay. the kitchen was clean and stocked with everything we needed to cook basic stuff. he's a great host!
