Great location with some beautiful walks working the surrounding area. Very homely, easy to relax and just very responsive at all times.

It was a lovely Airbnb, perfect for us as a family for a Christmas visit locally. Like a home from home. The kitchen is really well stocked, the best I’ve had from an Airbnb. The beds were really comfy. Really spacious house. Log fire was great and well stocked with logs which you don’t always get. Living room very spacious. Games provided. Big garden. Thanks so much. Highly recommend.

Had a wonderful family break here . Cooking facilities were brilliant for our post Christmas meal. Very well located to walk into town and for the Market for a fabulous brunch. Pool table was a hit. The Christmas tree was a special touch. Highly recommend this place.

We loved our stay and felt at home. The house was lovely and clean and host left some drinks in the fridge was a lovely addition. The beds were very comfy and the house had everything we needed, for a family of four. Host allowed us to have a little later check out which was so helpful. Would defiantly come back to this house if/when we come back to Manchester. Thank you for having us

Chalet Du Lac exceeded all our expectations and made our family Christmas truly magical. From the moment we stepped inside, we felt completely at home. The chalet is impeccably designed, blending cozy charm with spacious comfort. Every corner offers something unique—whether you’re in the mood to relax by the fire, enjoy a quiet moment in one of the serene sitting areas, or gather together for games and laughter. The highlight for us was undoubtedly the private Irish bar, which added such a special and unexpected touch to our stay. Richard and Sophie, the hosts, were outstanding. From the very start, they made us feel incredibly welcome, offering not just warm hospitality but also invaluable local insights to help us make the most of our visit. This was everything we dreamed of and more, and we’re already counting down the days until we can return. Chalet Du Lac is an absolute gem!

Absolutely Love this cottage. Like a fairytale cottage amongst the most beautiful grounds. Brian and Judy are lovely and even left more fire logs for us on our return from a day out at chester, most appreciated as we love the open fire. Thank you so much for letting us stay, so peaceful. It was much needed , many many thanks Karen and Paul and of course George loved it.

Stayed for 2 nights. Beautiful house, very warm and cosy. Spotlessly clean and tidy. We stayed during the storm but we will definitely come back in the summer as the garden is amazing. Mark was a brilliant host, kept in touch and very quick to answer any queries we had. I would recommend staying here lovely walk around the lake which is about a 5 minute walk away. No complaints whatsoever.

Great stay at a lovely place, hot tub was perfectly all setup for us upon arrival as requested, host was very quick to respond and definitely exceeded our expectations! Will definitely be back, couldn’t recommend Simon’s place anymore, book it if available! 5* cheers Simon

I stayed at Diane´s for a month, traveling from Kenya, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The unit I rented was part of the main house but had its own separate entrance, offering privacy and comfort. The beautiful lush, vast garden full of life, peaceful surroundings with horses and birds, lots of different birds, made the experience unforgettable. The location was perfect—quiet and surrounded by nature, yet close enough to Chester and lots of renown tourist destination for easy exploring. The hosts were kind and respectful, ensuring I had everything I needed. I highly recommend Hatton Hall for anyone seeking a peaceful , convenient and private countryside escape.

Reluctantly left after a fantastic two-night stay at the Rossendale Cottages. We’d stayed in this beautiful & spacious studio accommodation and absolutely loved it. The staff are fantastic and were so kind throughout. The area is lovely & the walks nearby are great fun - especially to the singing tree! The bed was comfy, food yummy & hosts were gracious and lovely. I’d love to come back!

Maybe be worth noting that the views in the pics are not from the room, the room is basement with no balcony but seems like there is in the pics. Have to use stairs to get down and was not mentioned especially if you are not able to park near the entrance

Had an excellent stay at longhorn lodge after a zoo visit for my little girls 4th birthday. If I’m being honest the reason for me choosing this place was Isaac the cat and he did not disappoint. Both my sister and little girl were smitten. The lodge itself is beautiful and so very cosy, the hosts were on hand with any queries through message. Fabulous location for both the city centre and zoo. We loved it

We had a great time. Joe was really helpful and the site itself is so peaceful with a river running through. There were loads of logs provided which was great in January and meant everything was comfortable. Can definitely recommend and we will be returning!!!

The cabin was a perfect getaway; despite the snow the cabin was cozy with the brilliant log burner and great insulation. It really is so well built. The kitchen was fully equipped with a cooker, kettle, pans etc… We were so impressed and would 100% stay again, especially as Jocelyn was such an amazing host both in helpfulness and friendliness throughout our stay. 10/10

A beautiful and modern cabin. Immaculately clean and well looked after. Lots of nice touches on arrival i.e milk bread sugar coffee. Bryan was very helpful and very quick to respond to any questions. The hot tub and sauna was perfect and very well set up and Immaculate. We unfortunately got the car stuck in snow and Bryan was amazing helping us get free and on our way. We would highly recommend this place. Bryan is a lovely host.

Charlotte was an amazing host, so quick at responding...... fantastic list of instruction and really clear to follow, so welcoming aswell, Little Oaks is so cozy, soon as we seen it we already planned bringing the kids, it's so quiet and peacefull just what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of work life, would recommend any time of the year, we went Jan 2025, was so warm and cozy inside and with the fresh crisp air outside, lovely fire pit with cozy logs to sit round, bbq area with chairs and tables, Little oaks has everything you need there already with shops near if you need anything, great list of restaurants nearby aswell (would recommend the Turkish grill house) we will be back again with and without the kids thank you Charlotte and family we will see you again soon also - great value and felt I underpaid it was so nice 👍

The perfect place for the perfect getaway! What an absolute gem and in such a beautiful location! Rod was the perfect host and always on hand to help and gave some great walking suggestions. The animals are a treat and a great way to start the day taking a walk down to feed them! The cabin is amazing and so peaceful, has everything you need and more! Thank you for a wonderful weekend and we look forward to visiting again soon!

We have just come back from a one night stay. The pod was lovely, cosy and clean. The beds were super comfy and the log burner kept us toasty warm. The hot tub was perfect. We would definitely book again. Thank you.
