We loved our stay at Te Awa Lodge! The home was beautiful and very comfortable. The grounds and gardens were lovely, and we loved being by the river. We enjoyed the hot tub and watched the stars from the 2nd floor balcony. The location was great: 15 minutes from Wanaka and 5 minutes from Lake Hawea. Graeme made us feel right at home and gave us some good suggestions for places to see and places to eat. If you are looking for a beautiful and peaceful place to stay while you explore Wanaka and the surrounding area, I highly recommend Te Awa Lodge!

Such a cute place! Great attention to detail in decorating. Didn’t use the kitchen but had everything you would need. Walkable to shopping, excursions and fantastic restaurants . Best seafood chowder at Relish! The only thing I would change is maybe add a fan upstairs to circulate air when it’s warm. One night was very warm and we could not have all the windows open because the neighbors were hosting a party and it was pretty loud. Super cute and great layout for our family.

This was the perfect place to stay while we were down in Wanaka for a wedding. The views were absolutely stunning. The house itself is spacious and feels incredibly luxurious, with plenty of room to relax and unwind. The amenities were top-notch, making it feel like a true home away from home. Very reasonably priced and great location near Clutha river trail and short drive to Wanaka. Very tidy and includes everything you’d need.

This place is absolutely magical! The view from the front lawn is outstanding and the cottage is adorable and had everything we needed. It's a true gem and feels very much like a classic good old kiwi bach. We and our dog loved it and are planning to come back again.

This was an exceptional property. Everything was of the highest standard , absolutely spotless and super comfortable. The outlook was incredibly beautiful with the lake and trees being just out the door. There was wonderful indoor / outdoor living. We enjoyed lake swims each day and had our meals on the deck. Wendy and Richard showed the best of Kiwi hospitality and were very thoughtful and respectful. I cannot recommend this property highly enough.

The view is great, took a lot of photos, you can take a walk along the lake, enjoy the sun on the lawn, sleep in the sofa watch TV, lie in bed and watch the stars at night!It's not boring for days!Sofa was comfy!We also had a power outage that night, and the host was very responsive and patient!

Ross and Trudie looked after us when we were after a place in Wanaka at the last minute and I truly appreciate their hospitality! The bed is super comfy and the bathroom is extremely well appointed. Their speedy wifi allowed me to knock out some work on the gorgeous back patio. Lastly, the off street parking was really clutch. Book without hesitation, you’ll love this spot.

Lovely house in a great location near to Lake Dunstan, a good base for exploring Central Otago. Amelia was very helpful and responsive on messages, too!

We stayed here for a week during our honeymoon and had a truly lovely stay. The spot was clean, private, and cozy with everything you need. It was a perfect place to recharge after adventuring during the day. Lake Hāwea was a charming find too. It was really quiet and everyone we spoke to was kind and welcoming. We went to the Lake Hawea store for coffee, had sandwiches at Winging It, and went for some runs on the river and lake paths. When we wanted more options, Wānaka was a short drive. We sincerely hope to come back and stay here again!!

Ideal accommodation in wonderful setting. Open living space with gentle, quiet corners for all. Spacious kitchen / dining area with lots of crockery and utensils. Garden is just superb. View of the lake across to Roys Peak is quite stunning from balcony. Walking distance to the centre of town with all its restaurants and cafes. Couldn't have asked for more.
