We loved this place! Location was excellent, peaceful yet only a short walk into town by the river. There are some good pubs nearby for food and drink, plus a Co-op foodstore. The accommodation is on the first floor of a terraced property, up some steep steps. Andrew supplied us with detailed instructions to locate the property, although we only received the code to the key-box on the day of arrival. The house is beautifully furnished, and we felt at home straight away. The living space, dining area and small kitchenette are all in one room, overlooking a green space. Everything you need is provided. The bed in the main bedroom is comfortable, the bed in the second bedroom was less so. Bedrooms are a bit lacking in storage space, I think the large chair in the main bedroom would be better replaced by a chest of drawers. Also the shower in the en-suite is currently not working, but not a problem as we used the shower in the main bathroom. We'd happily stay here again.

We loved our stay! It was convenient and very clean. Check in was a breeze and perfectly situated.

To find a large enough property for 6-8 people around the Windsor/Eton area was a real find. The area is perfect for exploring on foot or by train so you don’t necessarily require a car just maybe a taxi for food shopping or to/from the station. Lesley was very quick to respond to any questions or requests before we arrived and was immediately available if we needed her assistance with anything in the property. We all had a lovely Christmas. Booked for my boyfriend’s birthday and we had a very lovely stay. The pool room was beautiful and had area for seating with candles etc, definitely worth adding to the booking. The cabin itself was very cozy, warm and intimate. The perfect little escape during the winter months and we will definitely be coming back in the summer as the grounds and surroundings were beautiful. Very helpful and friendly hosts as-well.

We had a fantastic stay here with everything we needed for an unusual stay where we needed to come and go throughout the night. Everything was self contained so no need to disturb the hosts but they were very accommodating. It was my first Airbnb stay I booked myself and I was glad to have a “superhost” so helpful and proactive. The accommodation itself is excellent for two people and very quiet and relaxing. Everything was spotless and the breakfast items very much appreciated! Thank you Sarah and Ian!

I had the best time at Hosting Holidays South Lodge. it is quite hard to find when we arrived as there is no lights outside so it took us a while to find it but was so happy when we did! sadly we was there during a storm and the electrics went out but we managed to use phone torches - it would have been nice for the host to bring us additional light but thankfully my friend staying had a massive battery that powered the tv and phones etc. it was my 30th birthday and they left us a bottle of wine which was delicious and communication was amazing. would stay back in this house in a heartbeat. one bit of feedback from a friend that was staying in the downstairs master bedroom with ensure - the bathroom stank of old egg which i think was due to the drains, I tried to flush washing liquid down it to mask the smell but they had to sleep with the window open in the winter. other than that we had the best time!

Catherine was nice enough to allow us to check in early after our long flight. Upon arrival, the cottage was still decorated for Christmas. It was absolutely charming. Catherine came by to greet us personally and to make sure that we had everything at hand. The cottage is darling and in pristine condition. All of the linens were clean and the place was spotless. The back garden would’ve been a lovely place to enjoy a meal in if it wasn’t so cold and damp outside but it was nice to see from the French doors. Thank you for letting us stay and would love to come back again. Camille
