Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Wakefield

Stayed at Kimberley’s place for my sister in laws 30th birthday celebrations, was a perfect space for 6 adults. Gorgeous home with all the amenities you could possibly need, loved the touch of the Christmas decorations also. In the heart of Holmfirth, 2 minute walk to everything & parking is so easy across. We got stuck an extra night due to the snow & Kimberley was so helpful in helping us stay an extra night so we weren’t stranded. Will definitely be back! Perfect for dogs also, safe & secure area little garden area!

I had a very cosy and comfortable stay in a well equipped and clean home. This a place I will be happy to stay at again.

Had a lovely 2 day stay here and we would definitely have made it 3 if possible. Short distance to some nice walks of differing difficulties.

Lovely place for a trip to Yorkshire. Beautiful places for dog walks around, nice pubs & cafes and just down the road from Leeds

Beautiful cottage with lots of little touches that we really appreciated. Very well equipped kitchen with all the mod-cons. Two sitting rooms and one with a log burner that we used everyday. Nice to have a bath and separate shower. Three lovely bedrooms, all with a good amount of storage and comfy beds. We loved the area, lots of beautiful places to walk and take in the surroundings. Would recommend the local pub (Cricketers Arms) everyone was so friendly and the breakfast at the Pavillion was delicious. We’d also recommend Jacob’s Well in Honley, they were so accommodating with our booking and again, the food was delicious. We all loved our stay & would definitely go again.

The house was lovely and we felt really at home there. It is close to all the shops bars and restaurants but in a really quiet location. Helen messaged us a couple of times during our stay to check that we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome.

As always cottage, was beautifully clean and prepared for us and our dog. As we ate in this time were impressed that all the utensils needed were there, hosts were as attentive and welcoming as always. Highly recommend the cottage and will definitely be returning.

The cottage was perfect for a weekend away with friends. It was more spacious than I imagined from the description and very cosy. A particular joy were the really comfy beds. The kitchen has all the things needed for cooking (inc a good knife) and the milk, tea and cookies left for us by Julie was a nice welcome. Snowdrop Cottage was great value and I would definitely recommend a stay there to anyone visiting that part of Yorkshire.

Nice place to stay and was very useful for us being close to the sales complex. Definitely would go back.

Probably one of the loveliest Airbnb‘s I have stayed at. We had a wonderful few days in this stunning location. The house had everything we needed. The hot tub was a real bonus. We were definitely visit again.

Very pleasant stay in a warm and clean house. We were 5 adults males on an annual university reunion with one dog in tow as well. Each of us had our own bedroom which was essential as we all snore unfortunately. All communication prior to and during the stay was punctual and courteous. The rooms were bigger than they look in the pictures. All the mod cons were in the kitchen. The highlights of the house were the lovely warm showers, the log fire, the hot tub and the welcoming gifts of cakes and drinks. They also had ornamental wooden ducks around the house with our names on them which was a nice touch. Holmfirth itself is a nice town with decent restaurants. If you like fancy food, try the 'Nowhere' restaurant. The food and service were excellent. We also tried the Koben Smokehouse and the Elephant and Castle pub which both have friendly atmospheres and serve good food. Lastly we walked up Holme Moss (a hill) which is worth it for the view. It takes about an hour to get up.

A beautiful, well furnished property ideal for our large multigenerational group. Comfortable beds, luxury towels, great layout, well thought out kitchen supplies with some additions to accommodate our holiday meals. We all loved the hamper goodies and the well placed duckies. Communication was swift and helpful especially with the financial issue of our not having a UK bank account for the bank transfer. Unfortunately the weather forced us to flee the location a couple of days early. Friends who live in the area said we did the right thing. The Holmfirth hills were ice and snowbound for a few days after we left. Altogether a delightful holiday was had by all of us. Highly recommend this well run, well appointed, high quality home away from home.

Me and my husband visited here for a one night stay. Such a Beautiful and stunning Location in a quiet village. Lovely clean and cosy Apartment with everything you need, very large comfortable bed with soft and warm bedding. A Very friendly and warm welcome and Exit from all the staff. Amazing pool and Sauna. Great onsite shop. It’s a Lovely short drive into Holmfirth which is where they filmed ‘Last of the summer wine’.

Me and my friends had a lovely time. There were lots of little touches that made it amazing and so homely. The location was perfect as it was down a few slopes/steps and you were in town. Holmefirth itself is beautiful and we are definitely coming back and will definitely stay in Eider Cottage again. I always had quick responses from the hosts leading up to my stay and whilst I was there. Thank you so so much

Wonderful stay and the extras available from the hamper provided to the amount of dishwasher tablets really made a difference. Large enough for all 11 of us. I particularly liked the tasteful Christmas tree. The children loved the ducks. There was only a couple of things that I would have liked to see which was a potato masher and a whisk, and wooden spoon. The oven was great to make a roast dinner and the 2 fridges was enough for everything. Thank you Be careful where you park it is best to park at the end of the property. I would definitely recommend.

After loosing my Mum last year & selling our family home of 60 years, I need a place to stay when I visit family & friends as I live on the South Coast. Brienda Cottage is the perfect place… close to where I grew up & my family. The cottage is comfortable, clean and welcoming with a lovely atmosphere… a true home from home. Christine was a very responsive host and gave great instructions on how to access the property. She left lots of extras to make our arrival and stay easier and there was lots of brilliant information on local attractions, restaurants etc., which would be invaluable for visitors who don’t know the area. I would very much like to stay at Brienda Cottage again when I next visit my family.

Location was very quiet a lot of amenities available Cottage was clean comfy & warm Would recommend to anyone for a relaxing chilled time away

A delightful cottage, in the heart of beautiful Holmfirth. Perfect for 2 people. We didn't meet Jean but she was so communicative and welcoming that we felt like we had. A very generous welcome pack which is always good after a long day in the car. We would definitely recommend Jean's cottage.

Just got back from a two night, relaxing stay. Had a lovely walk into Skipton along the canal. The place is in a beautiful location, very peaceful. Had everything we needed in Charlotte, can't fault it. would definitely visit again. 😊

We just returned from our second stay at the Piggery, and were reminded just why it was our first thought to return when we fancied a relaxing break. It feels like a home from home and the bed is out of this world, had the best night's sleep I've had in ages! It has everything you need for a cosy few nights and the walk down into Hebden Bridge is just lovely. The smart TV and seemingly faster WiFi since our last stay was the cherry on top so we could easily watch some films and TV too - not that you really need it in such a gorgeous location but on dark winter nights it always helps! Barry was incredibly helpful even from afar when we were almost stuck up there in heavy snow, directing us to shovels etc for us to use and offering us to stay on longer if we needed. Will absolutely return for a peaceful getaway and 100% recommend.

Had a great few days visiting family. The accommodation was spotless and Petra is so nice. Would recommend.
