Vacation rentals with a kayak in Waikato River

Our stay at this stunning home overlooking Lake Taupō and the golf course was nothing short of incredible. The views in every direction were absolutely breathtaking, and the home's design, furnishings, and fittings were all top-notch—every detail was perfect. It truly felt like a dream to wake up in such a beautiful space each morning. This was, without a doubt, our best Airbnb stay ever, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to call this place home for four nights. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

You can’t beat the view! One whole wall of the house is just windows to the lake. It was so beautiful each morning waking up to that view. Two of the bedrooms are amazing but the downstairs bedroom is small and cramped. Wish there had been one more shower in the home. Overall-outstanding

We enjoyed our stay, can’t beat the location! We walked to the beach with boogie boards and had a blast! Rooms were a little warm at night, we had windows open at first but bugs were coming in (no screens), but there was an AC in the living room and fans in the rooms! Loved having washer and dryer!

Our stay matched our expectations, which were very high because of the photos online. It is a gorgeous house and a lovely spot to unwind after having busy days. We were tempted to go into town for dinner but opted to eat in all three nights as there were such lovely spaces in the property to enjoy each night.

This was a last minute plan and Robyn extended to us a very warm welcome and accommodated us very quickly. Her place is homely, cosy, safe and very accessible. A really nice short stay. Thank You

We had a fantastic time at this place – super clean, comfortable, and in a great location close to the lake and town. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and everything was well set up for a relaxing getaway.

I met Aimee and she was lovely and so gracious! She gave us great recommendations on what to do in town for the short duration we had. The place was a truly beautiful and peaceful oasis on the lake. Stunning views and gorgeous sunset. The place is gorgeous and the bed is so comfortable. This was one of the best places we stayed at. Thank you so much for hosting us. Five stars all around! :)

Loved this little spot. The home was a well maintained Bach with thoughtful design of furnishings and accessories. Very clean and tidy. Great linen, comfy beds. Stephanie was quick to answer any communications prior. Despite disappointing weather, meaning we couldn’t be out on the water or taking walks nearby, it was a cozy cottage to be settled in for the weekend for relaxation.

The whole stay was amazing such lovely views and comphy accomodation. The lake views in the mornings were stunning . We enjoyed our barbecue meals and the children loved using the bikes thank you.

Absolutely loved staying at this property. There was everything you could possibly need and more and Rob couldn't have been a more helpful host. Highly recommend.

The most caring host I’ve ever dealt with on Airbnb, very understanding and kind, this will be the only place I’ll come back to stay at when I’m back with my family in Rotorua, next time my wife will do all the booking ;) lol

We had a great stay here. The location is very peaceful and perfect for kayaking when the tide is in. Also great for walks with the dogs; we got join the locals for a walk at 8:30. We were lucky with the weather and the quiet suited us very well. Also, the BBQ has a side panel which we used to cook food outside in a pan. Thanks for the stay - we had a restful time doing not a lot! :)

We really enjoyed our stay here. The kayaking was great, and the BBQ was wonderful to have. Plenty of linen/towels, a well equipped kitchen and lots of outdoor seating. Could walk into town and only a short drive to Ngaranui beach. We would love to stay again!

Benny was very lovely and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable, he even went out of his way to get us laundry detergent ☺️

We had a great stay here! It was such a peaceful location and could easily walk or drive into the township. Jessica was responsive and helpful at all times! Clean, tidy place and loved the big shower

looking for peace & to switch off from the pressures of city life for a night or two then this is the place for you, Fantastic scenery, private & the option of 3 different rooms. you can hire all 3 and it would be an awesome get away for family or a group of friends. One of the rooms has its own bathroom and the other two shared facilities which were only a couple of meters away in the stockyard shed.All clean safe and great hot shower too! We had the best sleep ever! It is off the grid but the solar power was more than enough for basic power, lighting,charging devices etc.Cell phone reception is patchy but a few steps up to the barn and you well connected to the world again. (also being semi disconnected added to the charm of the place.) Bring all your own food & drinks + maybe a board game or 2 and really just enjoy the awesome spot without having to venture into town &relax. bonus is the use of a private boat ramp, we had our 2 jetskis and had an amazing time exporting the lake

This place is a true find❤️!!! While we have enjoyed our beach stays in New Zealand, this exceptional country accommodation is an absolute must for anyone traveling to NZ. There were 4 of us (my husband and I plus our 2 adult kids). The cabin was perfect for this trip AND on our next stay here we will book at their larger cabin. Both cabins are absolutely gorgeous and decorated beautifully. There are many gorgeous close hikes plus lots of drivable activities. We went to one of the Hobbit film locations (Hairy Feet Tours) just a 2 minute drive or 15 minute walk from our cabin. We have a stunning view of the rock cliffs from our place. I strongly suggest staying at this place as part of any trip to New Zealand. It's private, quiet, has an amazing host, and is totally first class. Simply a must!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We stayed for almost a week as a family of four. This is one of the best Airbnbs we have stayed in. The Pods were immaculate, exactly as described. The location is fantastic, the view is incredible, there is lots to see and do, and it is very peaceful. We jumped off the rock, went to the squeeze and the baths and stopped in for coffee at Orakei Korako. All magical locations. A short kayak to Paradise Hot Spring a hidden gem. Sherrie & Mark are wonderful hosts, and we will definitely be back.

Better than we expected, magical experience. Sarah’s guidance allowed us to make the most of the location using the kayaks, visiting the hot pools & surrounding area. We got to experience the real highlights & natural beauty of New Zealand which only this location could provide. Loved it! Supportive & lovely host, thank you Sarah.

We returned to The Crib as it has everything we need and is a lovely wee place to stay.

It was just what we needed. Relaxation in a beautiful setting. Greg was very thoughtful and considerate. He had put fresh water in the hot tub and generously provided wine and beer in the fridge and lots of bottled water. We loved kayaking in the peaceful lake/river, wallowing in the hot tub, and enjoying the changing vistas. There’s no oven so we cooked our pizzas in the Weber which brought some laughs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much Greg!

The setting for this cabin is amazing - in a paddock on a working farm, overlooking the estuary and the changing tide. A great place to watch the sunset - especially being 5 mins from Raglan. The cabin itself has everything you need with a comfy bed, gas oven, kitchenette, and tidy bathroom. The deck is great place to sit and admire the view. Bonus to be able to bring our dog and enjoy a paddle in the kayaks provided.
