Bungalow vacation rentals in Virginia

Just spent Thanksgiving weekend at the Bugaboo. What a delightful house. I arrived late Wednesday night and quickly discovered there was no running water. With Thanksgiving being the next day, I assumed nothing could be done until Friday. However, much to my surprise, Rita and Elaine were right on it, knocking on the door early Thursday morning to let me know that water would be restored within hours. And it was! I was so impressed with the quick response and handling of the situation. Before checking out on Sunday, Elaine again visited and told me I didn’t have to rush to be out of the house at checkout time because no one was coming in that day. Again, pleasantly surprised and appreciative. The icing on the cake was that the host reimbursed me for one night’s stay because of the water situation even though I didn’t ask for it or expect it. I definitely plan to rent Bugaboo again. It’s clean, has nice furniture, a most comfortable bed, a great kitchen and a great location!

Everything was just as described! We loved sitting on the back porch with our wine, cheeseboards and books watching the storm roll in over the mountains. We could not have asked for anything more!

This place is super cute, and we very much enjoyed our stay. It looks newly renovated, and was squeaky clean. It is spring, so when we got in for the evening, it had gotten significantly colder. The heat worked beautifully and it was toasty warm in no time. It was great for our pup, with a fenced in back area and lots of thoughtful extras like dog bowls and a dog bed. Don was quick to communicate with us, and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

We had such a great stay here. Deanna was so friendly and helpful! The place is beautiful and has instructions on how to work/use everything. I loved that she even had recommendations on what to do and restaurants. There were so many amenities in the home that were so helpful We recommend this place and we will definitely be back!

It is an ideal location if going to Shenandoah National Park or Luray Caverns. The game room is great for all ages. You use it with another group on the property but we never overlapped. There are many places to relax and Winston is always working on improving and keeping the property clean. He sometimes works with his team ( kids and wife) which I loved bc we rent out our home as an air bnb and do the same thing. Our adult children still talk about how much they learned. Place has everything you could possibly need. Would stay again and rent both places and bring my entire family. Thanks for letting us stay in your home.

Great place to stay with lots of character. The backyard was my favorite with the wonderful array of plants in bloom , the fountain and various seating areas. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this rental to friends and will happily book again next time we are in Richmond.
