Doe Hill Escape

HeatherRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We enjoyed our stay at the farm with our three young children. They especially enjoyed seeing the animals around the farm. There were plenty of beds for everyone and lots of room to run around outside. Our gps took us right to the house despite not having internet. The only thing I would recommend is to head Adam’s warning when he says that the route Google often takes you through The George Washington National Forest can be treacherous. It would have been a lot less stressful of a drive if we had taken one of the other two recommended routes. Overall we had a pleasant stay and found the owners very friendly. We would stay again if in the area.

We had such a great time with the animals! Tim even let my son bottle feed one of the baby goats! The location was beautiful and easy to get to, super clean, quiet, and peaceful. They have good insulation in the rooms - I didn't even hear the roosters in the morning! Definitely recommended!

Historic cottage with stunning mountain views

We had an unbelievable stay at Rose Cottage. Beautiful surroundings, fitting for the exquisitely presented cottage which was both spacious and cozy at the same time. The walks on the doorstep were just what we were after, with the creek for the kids to paddle topped it all off. Great as a springboard for exploring the local breweries and countryside and easily connected to major landmarks and travel requirements too.

3-bedroom Cottage at Man in the Moon Farm Alpacas

DanielleRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Our family had the most incredible stay at the cottage! We were greeted by the adorable Chrissy, the guard dog, and her pack of alpaca. After settling in, Brenda gave us a tour of the property and introduced us to her alpaca. They were incredibly friendly and so much fun to watch and interact with. We stayed here Easter weekend and the cottage was exactly as it was described in the post. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. We even grilled one night. The bedrooms were spacious with very comfortable accommodations. We stayed here with two young children and their grandmother. Everyone enjoyed themselves! We definitely will be back!

Cabin Overlooking Vineyards of Lovingston Winery

JanaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a great experience! The rocking chairs on the front porch were perfect for reading in the morning sun, and walking down to the winery tasting room (with cheese/snacks!) was a perfect way to spend the afternoon. We forgot an ingredient for dinner and found a grocery store just 5 min away, otherwise the kitchen amenities were perfect for staying in and cooking during a device-free weekend. We took advantage of the games that were in the living room to play with, too! Beds and bathrooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated. Will definitely be going back again.

Everything is exactly as it is listed and shown in the pictures and it may be the most well stocked place we have ever rented. I would highly recommend

Hydrangea House - A Bright and Peaceful Farm Stay

KimRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Lenah’s place was comfortable and clean. The location was ideal, for our visit, we attended a wedding at Great Marsh estates and it was less than a 5 minute drive. The apartment was also well-equipped with everything we needed. We especially loved the outside area with cows, horses, goats, and Alpacas running around in the neighbors fenced yard. We enjoyed watching them while relaxing on the front porch. We also took a ride to Crockets Park and walked the trails and explored the park. It was a beautiful spot with a lake, pedal boats and canoe rentals when in season. I recommend Lenah’s place if you want to relax and enjoy nature.

Living Water Farm, Blue Ridge

ConnieRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Everything was great! Very relaxing, private in the country. Everything you needed was within 15-30 minutes away. Very close to the mountains for hikes, historic areas and the Virginia Scenic Railway train ride in Staunton, Va. The train was an hour drive, but you see a lot of the area either by back country roads or interstate. Host had lots of pamphlets, books and other information for your stay, good if you have never been to the area. Enjoyed the Shenandoah area again.
