Waterfront vacation rentals in Vale of Glamorgan

Lovely flat at a great location. Only a few minutes' walk to Cardiff town centre so getting food was really easy. Our ground floor flat was comfortable and had everything the 2 of us needed. It was nice to have a microwave and kitchenette so we had the option of eating in, glad we chose this over a large chain hotel for this very reason. On-street parking was easy, not too expensive during the day and free after 6pm. Will stay again the next time we're in Cardiff. Shaun was very responsive, helpful and way to communicate with. The accommodation was very clean and had everything you needed. The collection of the keys was not the easiest but Shaun did help as much as possible

Stephen was in touch as soon as I booked to confirm a few details and came across as very friendly, helpful and accomodating. He arranged to meet us to check in and show us to our parking space and around the apartment. He gave us clear directions on how to get to Mermaid Quay and into town for the concert the next day. He made us feel very welcome and at home. His apartment is the perfect location to explore Cardiff and to attend Concerts at The Principality Stadium. I would definitely recommend. After a small glitch at start (not owners fault but was sorted immediately) we loved the 2 bedroom apartment! It's just around the corner from restaurants and a couple of supermarkets. There is 2 balconies plus a rooftop terrace. Beds were super comfortable and the kitchen has all you will need if you want to cook a meal.We had great communication with owner who was gracious enough to check and make sure we had everything we needed. Our first trip to Cardiff but will definitely be back! If I had one small thing to complain about the sofa in living area not very comfortable but I'm only nit picking on that..Thank you Kimberly for our brilliantly few days away!

Huw is a fantastic host. Really proactive and friendly. The apartment really is a great place to stay. Super comfortable bed, under floor heating and has everything you need for a great stay. Sitting out on the balcony with the beautiful view over the river was so peaceful! Highly recommend this Huws when staying in Cardiff, would definitely book again. Thanks

Can't praise our stay high enough, the apartment was fabulous but one you can relax in, felt very homely and inviting. The view from the balcony was amazing and it is covered so you can still sit out if the weather is a bit wet. We were given in depth instructions on which gate to enter the complex, how to navigate to the parking spot and how to get in and out of the apartment complex. They may have seemed long winded but made total sense once you got there, so we were in, parked up and into the apartment within 10 mins. The apartment is quite big and spacious, it is the hosts home and because of this it did feel like a home from home, it wasn't a show home with cheap furnishings, in fact the bedding was probably the softest we have ever felt, the beds were sooo comfy and it is decorated beautifully and the mood lighting is a nice touch. It's not noisy, it's nice and quiet as well, you can't hear anything from neighbouring apartments. The whole experience was perfect.

What a beautiful place to stay. From booking to arriving, communication with Alex was brilliant. Any questions or problems Alex would message back instantly. The house was so lovely. Clean, tidy and had everything you would need for a nice break away. The house was spotlessly clean and it is in such a beautiful, quiet area. At the end of the street you have a gorgeous view of the quay and a nice walk. The supermarket was a short walk away and the little grill was a superb find and made the best burgers and fries! The whole weekend was perfect from the beginning to the end. We would definitely recommend this house 100%. Thank you Alex for a wonderful stay!

Lovely little house by the canal, nice and cozy, very private location, close to city centre and local convenience store down the road. Moon helped us as much as she could and gave very clear instructions and was extremely polite. 10/10. Can't wait to come back. 😊

Perfect location, made to feel at home, will book again!

Joy is a nice lady who changes her hairstyle everyday or twice a day. You can cook in her house as long as you remember switch off the fire. Cardiff is a small place, which means even Joy's house is not in the town, you can still walk to the town in 20 minutes. Just don't bother taking the train.

A brilliant place to stay whilst on a short visit to cardiff. Surprisingly comfortable bed too!!! Easy to check in and superbly located for the millennium centre and Bay Area.

Stuart was very helpful, I only requested to stay late in the day and he assured me that was ok and let me in and gave me a tour himself at 10pm when i arrived. He gave clear instructions for everything and the bed was nice and comfy with everything I needed with a bathroom and kitchen.

Paul the host was very welcoming, provided lots of information on the area and made us feel very welcome. He has a lovely home and a very friendly, beautiful house cat called Toby. Recommend this place to stay 👍

Really enjoyable stay catching up with family the beds were comfortable and the en suites very clean lots to do in and around Penarth and also easy train ride to Cardiff as parking not easy there.

What a wonderful apartment. The location is amazing and the the apartment itself is beautiful. Great lounge overlooking the bay. Both bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely and the kitchen is very well appointed. Wayne and Jan communicated really well and recommended restaurants and walks which were perfect for us. We ate at the Dark Horse (Indian restaurant) and Cwtchina (lovely Italian), both fantastic independent restaurants. Also, the Pilot pub next door is a great traditional pub serving excellent beers.

Perfect base to stay, really comfortable bed, full kitchen. I was fortunate that my stay coordinated with the illuminated carnival in Weston-super-Mare and I also went into Weston on the open top bus from just outside. it was lovely to enjoy the view from both lounge and bedroom, even if it was a little grey. but nice beach to walk along with direct access. I will definitely stay again if in the area.

We stayed at the apartment for a swim Gala,ideal location for travelling to the pool. Ideal apartment,clean tidy and spacious and will stay again.

Great place to stay. Worth noting with the parking - my car wouldn’t fit in the garage so had to find alternative arrangements. Plenty of car parks near by

The bedrooms were comfortable and thoughtfully furnished, ensuring a restful night. The bathroom was clean and sleek, and the shower was fantastic. Shona herself was an amazing host — responsive, accommodating, and incredibly thoughtful. Her communication was quick and friendly throughout, and she went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. This was one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve had, and we would highly recommend Shona’s place to anyone visiting the area.
