Alvin's property was squeaky clean and comfortable. The surrounding views are breathtaking! I was worried about lack of AC on an island, but there was no need for it. The mountain breeze comes in through the windows if opened. So does the sound of the birds which is spectacular and so calming. I loved this place and would recommend it 100%.

We had a wonderful stay here. You’re surrounded by nature and can easily sit and watch the trees and birds and lizards for hours. Gabriela was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. She has some excellent restaurant and swimming hole recommendations. We would come back in a heartbeat and would recommend this stay to anyone. The only thing I’d say is that it’s not waterfront, we had booked the place expecting to have water access on the property. If you don’t have a car (we didn’t for the first night), it’s impossible to get around as nothing is walkable. Just something to be aware of.

The cabin was beautiful and secluded, with a small walk from the cabin to the common kitchen area. The common kitchen had everything! The toilet area was well-maintained and clean. Alexa and Nando were very responsive to messages, and were super welcoming once we arrived at the property. We definitely enjoyed spending the night in an open space with the symphony of coquí around us.

We spent two months at the nest and loved every day. It's just as beautiful as it looks, and the climate at elevation was mild and pleasant -- often when down at a beach or town I was impatient to return to the mountaintop to get back to the cool breezes. Before arriving we were concerned about mosquitos, but we cooked and ate outside every day and slept with windows open every night and never got a bite. The wildlife in the area is fantastic; I saw half a dozen new bird species just sitting on the balcony. Highly recommended!
