I was lucky enough to find this place several years ago and try to get back there at least once a year. For peace and quiet and the feeling of being off the grid - even though you truly aren't - this place can't be beat. It's so beautiful and calm with a night sky full of stars. This time we got a surprise snow storm and my host Karli was gracious enough to offer an extended checkout without even being asked so we could take our time, enjoy the unusual weather and how beautifully it enhanced our surroundings, checkout thoroughly and leave safely. By the time we left all the roads in and out were cleared so we didn't have to stress driving in unsafe conditions. The on property soundbath offering is one of the most impactful and healing things about this place. Definitely book if you can. It's a must. I can't say enough great things about these gracious hosts.

If you are looking for a spacious, private home that can be utilized as MORE than just a home base for your Joshua Tree activities, this is the place. In this case, Daniel's place is BETTER than advertised. The kitchen is equipped for COOKING, and the bathroom has (what looks to be) a brand new spic and span expansive shower. The living and dining area is LARGE --- plenty of room. Off-street parking (driveway) and LARGE privacy fenced yard made us feel like we weren't being watched by the neighbors, although the 3 days we were there, we didn't SEE, let alone HEAR, a single car coming down the neighborhood street! If you hate people (wink) but want to be close to the restaurants and park rather than in the middle of nowhere, this is a GREAT pick! The "HOW TO USE STUFF' directions are concise -- enough so even Boomers can understand how to turn on the #$@# TV. Strong WIFI. And CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN - Bed is VERY comfy. The jacuzzi is PERFECT and as clean as they come! Thanks, Daniel! 5 star

Just finished a fantastic stay at Laura and Mark's in Joshua Tree - what a treat! They really went all-in with the vintage theme, but did so in a way that felt both authentic and usable. Sometimes you see these wonderfully midcentury homes where it feels a bit too much like a museum - not the case here! Their instructions throughout the house were perfect and clear: took only a quick read to understand how to use their wonderful AV setup. There were some nice touches like robes in the closet, hangers for formal wear, and a fantastic jacuzzi! Hosts were warm and communicative. Would happily stay here again. Thanks for the fun experience!

The Joshua Tree Dome house is probably the best Airbnb I've ever stayed in. The house is impeccably decorated and furnished, and everything is very comfortable and functional. It was a great place for my family to escape for a while. My kids loved the hot tub. We did lots of cooking in the kitchen, enjoyed meals around the big dining table, and proximity to JT National Park and other local attractions was super convenient. I hope we will come back here again!

This is a great place to chill and was very much as described. Kitchen well stocked and beds were comfy. A lil older but kept up and clean. You’ll feel the retro vibe😀. If you want out of the busyness to experience peace and quiet, this is true high country desert but easy to get to local restaurants and kitschy shopping. Houses are well spaced from each other and fenced but the whole area is very wide open desert. Once we figured out the area we felt safe and secure. Overall a great place to come for local hiking and only about an hour from Palm Springs.

Harlan is a super kind & friendly host! We were able to book an extra night with him last minute! Check in was super easy and the heater does work in the winter time. It is in a great location, very close to cafes, yoga, pioneer town, and the national park. The fire pit & hot tub were our favourite things about the house & the fireplace! We cooked a lot so the kitchen was great too. Nothing bad to say besides it felt a little scary at night outside because the area wasn't completely closed off (hot tub area), but that's just how it feels to be girls I guess.

Audrey was an amazing host! Her Joshua Tree home was easy to find, and she provided clear, detailed instructions. The Desert Star has a great vibe, and its location is very close to the Joshua Tree National Park entrance. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Loved the view from this location. Place was clean and had all the necessary kitchen utensils we needed for our short stay. It was nice to have a 7/11 down the street and a Vons a little further to grab any essentials. Easy to find, great parking, amazing views, can’t go wrong!

We had a great time at this location! Close to JOTR but away from busy roads and traffic. The dog run was perfectly sized for our two dogs to do their business whenever they needed (doggie door located in kitchen/dining room area). The surrounding gravel roads were also perfect for walking pups. All the listed amenities were accurate and our party of 5 loved the house layout! Would happily stay here again :)

The home was great. Location was prefect. Very close to the park entrance. Would definitely stay there again!

Really grateful to have been able to escape here to this slice of heaven. Jacks House is private, fully fenced in; I felt incredibly safe here and the decorations and amenities are even better in person. The house was clean, well stocked, full spice drawer, every kitchen utensil I needed and sharp kitchen knives! (which never happens in an Airbnb) The big outdoor sofas were the perfect place to hang out in the evening and have morning coffee after a walk around the property. Detoxed from LA in the beautiful wood sauna and then dipped into the hot tub. Beds were super comfortable, soft sheets, nice toiletries - can't recommend enough! Can't wait to come back.

This was our second time staying at Erik’s place. Nothing beats some great tunes on the turntable after a long drive to the desert. We felt right at home when we got there; it was almost like we never left! 😁 Thanks again for sharing your desert home with us. We’ll be back for sure.

Annalees place was everything we needed and more. Plenty of solitude and silence. Beautiful surroundings, and all amenities close by. We literally chilled read books and played games.

This place is great! The house is very neat and clean. It’s well furnished and comfortable. The back yard is awesome. Lots of room out there with outdoor seating. The neighborhood is quiet. You’re within walking distance of downtown Joshua Tree. I had no trouble walking down to grab food in the evenings. Sara and Liz are very proactive and give plenty of clear instructions about the house. Super easy to find and get inside. Overall a great place to stay.

The home was very cozy and spacious! I loved that there were so many amenities. We were in town for a cheer competition so we didn’t get much time at the property. I loved that we were able to make full meals and everything we needed was available. The bed was comfortable and we loved soaking in the spa. Our family would love to go back.

This place is a gem! We had a lovely time here. The property is great, beautiful pool and outdoor space. The house was so cute and cozy. We had everything we needed right there! And the neighborhood is awesome, the house is walking distance to 29 Palms Inn and several other local businesses, and very close to the park. Ron was a great host, very responsive and kind. Check in and check out was very simple. We had a marvelous time and we’ll certainly be back!

Whimsically wonderful property to tap into your souls inner child and just rejoice in life! You will feel joyous and childlike walking around the property exploring all the incredible art gardens. The are no words for the beauty and expansiveness of the mountain views other than ”Heaven on Earth.” I swear you can see for miles and miles. The night sky will capture you and take you on a journey throughout the stars like no other.🤩 The kitchen is basically chef ready and everything is easy to find and use. Beds are comfortable with plenty of extra pillows and bedding. Bathrooms are clean and sanitary. Laundry facilities inside home with detergents available and FREE to use - no coin deposit! Easiest and best WiFi connection I’ve ever had in the middle of the desert. Property is so incredibly private, yet easy to find and access. I highly recommend this property!

Rand's place is awesome and so is Rand! Really enjoyed cooking the fresh eggs for breakfast. Our favorite part of the place was the garage bunker, which we set lights up in and listed to music all night. He owns the whole lot too! Thanks for being chill Rand.

Truly one of the best airbnb stays I have had. Brian’s unique desert home comfortably accommodated our multigenerational family, including our baby (14 months) and grandparents (late 70s). The open layout was really nice and allowed us all to sprawl out and move around easily while being together. Super peaceful surroundings and pretty quick access to Joshua Tree attractions. Will recommend this home to friends for sure!

We loved our stay! Barbara and Clint’s home was gracious and lovely. The comfortable living room and large dining area were perfect for our family. The location was excellent, with dog-friendly hiking trails, restaurants, and a Saturday market nearby. We especially enjoyed the expansive back patio with a large spa and pool. We will return!

We had a great time swimming, cooking and hanging out in Heike and Georg's home. Would visit again.
