In most things, getting the details right, is difficult. Sarah knocked it out of the park. This place is so thoughtfully put together. From the well appointed kitchen, to the great bedding, and the clear instructions, this place was so welcoming and comfortable. The location is very private and peaceful. We enjoyed using this place as a base to do daily excursions to some great snowy places for snowshoeing. We said, multiple times this weekend to each other, “I love this place and we should come back here soon!”.

Beautiful place! I downloaded offline maps and found the place easily, even in the dark. It was clean, comfortable, and had all of the things we needed. The second floor balcony was the perfect spot to have a morning cup of coffee while enjoying the peace of the outdoors. There's a wooded area behind the house where it was great to walk around and play in the snow. This was an amazing spot for my weekend getaway. Would book again.

Adorable home in the heart of Nevada City. Perfect for a short girls trip while visiting my aunt who is a longtime resident of Nevada City and also celebrating her birthday. The decor is right up our alley. We have driven by this place so many times, wanting to stay the night and it finally happened. Host is very proactive with emails and instructions. We hope to stay at her other location in the future as that is our other frequent vacation destination.

Feeding the cows and pigs was a huge bonus! The treats were provided by the host and were left in the pantry. The cows literally come to you next to the fenced area to say Hello! My little kiddo had a great time exploring the gated area. This vacation away form city life way just what my family and I needed. We had lots of privacy and felt very calm in the little red cabin. Before we checked in, the host recommended lots of places to visit. This helped us plan what to do. :)

We loved our stay at the cottage! Super easy check-in and convenient parking right next to the cottage. Helen was extremely friendly and proactive to ensure our stay was great. When we realized we forgot a power adapter, she went above and beyond to lend one to us. I especially enjoyed grilling out on the large back deck. We highly recommend booking here!

We had an incredible stay at Creektown Cottages. We stayed at Sugar Pine Cottage. The location was perfect for strolling into Grass Valley’s downtown. The cottage was clean and the beds were comfortable. Definitely a bit of noise early in the morning from the Post Office behind the cottages, so light sleepers or folks wanting to sleep in may be challenged. Overall, a great experience. We look forward to our next stay at Creektown Cottages.

Loved our stay. The house was very comfortable and well appointed. Elliot gave great instructions on finding the home. We BBQ'd the first night. played games and generally had a great time. Everything was very comfortable. Highly recommend, we would definitely go back and stay.

Audra and Tal are exceptional hosts! They share their property with guests like hospitality pros. They give you complete privacy, yet jump in immediately if you need anything. From fresh eggs to the cozy cottage to a fabulous outdoor space for our dog to run, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s a little off the beaten path if you want solitude and is only 15 minutes to Grass Valley and 20 minutes to Nevada City if you want to eat out and explore these historic towns. Highly recommmend these thoughtful, kind hosts!

My young son loved walking around the beautiful garden. Being on a small street made it feel quiet and safe.

We love staying here. The house is comfortable and well equipped. There's good food and the lake/beach within walking distance. The hosts are responsive, helpful, and friendly.

The Fox Den is one of our favorite spots to stay. We keep returning and always have a wonderful time being so close to all of the downtown activity and festivities. Amanda is very responsive and communicative.

As soon as we stepped in, I knew I wanted to return. Beautifully appointed accommodation, meticulous details. Peaceful and quiet and yet very convenient to the heart of Nevada City downtown. Ione is a helpful and responsive host. A wonderful experience.

Lynn was responsive and patient with all my questions. Her place is cozy and in a quiet neighborhood. She contacted me right away when I had an emergency. There are tiny special touches Lynn includes in her home that made our stay comfortable and relaxed. How to come back again!

John and Elizabeth are very kind and I enjoyed chatting with them. Their property is beautiful and in a lovely part of Quincy. Town is just a short drive and quite scenic. The cabin was super clean and cozy with an amazing view of their property. It was very quiet and serene and we had fun exploring the property. We saw birds and ducks and geese. Ours was a short visit but we'll definitely be back! I highly recommend a stay at The Cat Tail Cottage.

Jim and Denise have a lovely guesthouse that is comfortable and well stocked. It is immaculate with thoughtful and useful touches. The location is marvelous and the view from the deck is spectacular. We would be happy to stay here again if we are ever in the area.
