An exquisite base (with consistently high reviews) for exploring the tranquil local landscapes, by foot or wheel, close to the River North Tyne (fishing permits available), the International Dark Sky park and Kielder observatory. We have officially the darkest skies in England; from the back garden over 2000 stars can be seen on a clear night.

Set in the Northumberland National Park, this attractive wooden cabin has been fully renovated inside with plenty of little touches to make our guests feel right at home. Sleeping 6 in 3 bedrooms (one a kids room) the property is located on the edge of a small lodge park in Otterburn with woodland walks and plenty of wildlife on the doorstep; including our neighbourly red squirrels! The cabin has a wood burning stove, hot tub and extended deck to the front, and pubs and a general store nearby.

An attractive 2 bedroom barn conversion, mainly on one level, with views across the Northumberland National Park. Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. In the mornings you can look forward to a delicious breakfast in the formal dining room. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use.
