Cottage vacation rentals in Traverse City

Salma’s cabin was the perfect snowy respite for us as we traveled up north. Although we couldn’t stay long, we know we want to come back and experience more of what Traverse City has to offer. And, we will definitely choose Salma’s cabin — the rooms are spacious and comfortable; the kitchen is gorgeous and well-stocked; and the entire home was the perfect cozy getaway. Seeing 2 feet of snow on the deck was the perfect sight for us snow lovers!

Stayed here for a ski trip at Boyne. Was close to Boyne and restaurants. Loved the hot tub. Perfect size for 2 couples

Went for a girls weekend, 4 of us total, and it was perfect! Great place to relax and unwind. Close to downtown Traverse City and beautiful hikes. Michelle was very helpful and friendly. Overall a perfect place to getaway!

The cottage was perfect for a quiet weekend getaway. Would definitely recommend for those seeking a peaceful, relaxing place to stay.

Had a great stay here for the second time. Place was clean and tidy as always. Well stocked with towels, soaps, pots/pans, etc. Some recent renovations have the place looking even better than I remember.

We absolutely loved our stay here! We love the location and used this as a home base to explore Sleeping Bear Dunes, Empire, Leland, Traverse City and Boyne Mountain. The house was exactly what we needed! Everything was wonderful and they had everything we could need. Any time we had a question she responded quickly. I would absolutely recommend staying here and believe we will be back!

My family and I loved this home. We went on an ice fishing trip and this was a cozy and clean home base. Jeff was communicative and friendly throughout the process. We would stay here again.

Jake's place was clean and comfortable. it is a good spot to stay if you're exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and the surrounding attractions.

This was our first repeat Airbnb experience, we enjoyed Laurie’s place that much! It’s peaceful and the lake is lovely, no matter the time of year. Close to Short’s brewing and Schuss mountain, not far from Boyne, it’s quiet but still well located to have a great up north adventure. It’s also well stocked with toys and books, which is a great plus for our family! And Laurie is super responsive and kind. We might stay a third time!

Great spot, exactly what we needed! It’s small and cozy, in a quiet area 10-15 minutes drive from anything you need. Smooth check in, clean spot, had whatever amenities you could think of. One thing: If you are taller than me (6’4) you may have some trouble with the bathroom. I made it work but were I an inch taller I wouldn’t have been able to fit for certain activities 😂

The Little Skip cottage provided a welcoming, cozy winter weekend stay. Very clean, great location, and nicely designed and furnished. The heating system did struggle to keep the main floor warm enough during the frigid temperatures but the loft was plenty warm with all the heat rising to that area. Would definitely return!

Our car broke down on our way up North so we got to the house very late with no food or water because stores were closed and luckily this house had everything we needed and was so clean and cozy! We enjoyed every room and played lots of games and built a fire everyday. The guidebook was also so helpful! We enjoyed this house so much and would love to come back and stay at Darcy’s again. One of my favorite stays, thank you so much!!

My family, friends, and I enjoyed staying at Tim’s property once again. Tim is easy to reach if needed for anything, and was a great host. The property is well located and beautiful! Walking distance to dine out, or just a few minutes drive to get groceries, while still feeling tucked away. We hope to stay again next summer.

Great little cottage. Loved the location and the proximity to town. Everything we needed. Will definitely return hopefully when it isn’t cold and rainy so I can enjoy the beautiful screened porch and nice yard/firepit.

Great place to unwind and relax! Ellsworth Lake is such a beautiful spot and holds many memories for our family.
