Absolutely gorgeous location right across the bay from Skye. Numerous wonderful walks from the house and in the nearby valley. Local shop and pub in walking distance. House is as described. If youre looking for luxuries or that squeaky clean finish, this probably isnt for you but if you are happy with a warm, cosy base with all the necessities you will enjoy your stay here. Very much like staying at your elderly grandmothers! If you are picky about your linens, i would recommend bringing your own towels or sheets but there are plenty provided. Murdoch is extremely warm and friendly and offers a myriad of information about the house and local area making it very easy to enjoy your stay and find the things that interest you. My Mum and I had a fantastic weekend in this gorgeous, cosy and ideally located cottage. The cottage itself is beautifully designed and furnished, and very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped, the shower is fabulous, the wood burning stove is just what you need after a day exploring! The location is ideal for visiting the island and the views from the cottage are stunning. A perfect place to relax and explore this beautiful part of the world! We loved it. Can't recommend the cottage highly enough. Julie couldn't have been more helpful. We would definitely return.

Fantastic hosts who met us at arrival and took time to ensure we had what we needed. Best location to explore Skye. It is easy to get around the island from the cottage and the cottage is a peaceful place to get away from it all and relax. Cant wait to visit again! For reference to those visiting the island, we recommend not bringing a vehicle with a low clearance to Skye - lots of hills, valleys and potholes. We brought a crossover and sometimes felt it was not enough to take on some areas.

We had a wonderful stay with stunning views of the nearby loch and rolling fields. The place had everything we needed for our stay. Home from home. Ruarie was a lovely host and lovely to chat too. Gave us lots of ideas and helpful advice. Plenty of breakfast cereals, teas and coffees.
