Bungalow vacation rentals in Torquay

Dave's bungalow was ideal for our needs, which were about accessibility but also allowing dogs to stay. The bungalow is furnished to a high standard and very clean. The bathroom is wonderful and although the kitchen is a work in progress, it's quirky and well equipped. The garden is enclosed and dog safe, with a handy path behind it. Dave provided us with some good recommendations; Budleigh Salterton beach was lovely to visit on a warm Friday evening. Overall we had lovely relaxing break and would recommend this accommodation.

We had an amazing stay at Stargazy Airbnb, we stayed for three nights and the property was exactly as described and pictured. It’s a stunning location, moments away from Bigbury beach, and the Airbnb was stunning. It had beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces perfect for relaxing or entertaining. The outdoor barbecue space was particularly wonderful as was the living room with its panoramic glass sliding doors facing out to the sea - the views from the Airbnb were incredible. We were worried it was going to rain the whole time, luckily we had incredible, sunny weather so could enjoy local beaches, towns and the outdoor spaces at the property, but even if it had rained, the property is so stunning we would’ve enjoyed just hanging out indoors there with the beautiful views and relaxing atmosphere. We had a great time and have recommended it to all our friends. Thank you for a great stay!

Great location with driveway parking and a short walk to the beach. Sea views and plenty of sunny, sheltered space for relaxing outside. Clean, spacious and modern with everything needed for a short break. The ‘welcome’ supplies of coffee, tea and biscuits were much appreciated, as were all the helpful extras such as toilet roll, dishwasher tablets, basic toiletries etc. Ian was very responsive and helpful via Airbnb messaging prior to arrival and recommended several local restaurants. The Journey’s End was a definite highlight (delicious Thai mussels) and we thoroughly enjoyed breakfast by the sea at Venus Cafe. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Lovely caravan and Susan was extremely friendly and helpful. We didn't particularly like the club house etc on site but that can be avoided. The coast path is very close and St Mary's Bay is beautiful.

An amazing place for a holiday! Michelle was a great host and communicated well with us throughout, the caravan is immaculate and in a superb position that’s lovely and private however only a short walk away from the onsite amenities. Would definitely recommend

We had a lovely stay in Challaborough , the caravan was equipped with all you needed, dvds to watch books to read,games to play.Nicolas left us some flowers in a vase,some scones with cream and jam, Bakewell tarts, a loaf of bread and some dog treats for our dog Marlow which we appreciated .

Thanks for a great stay. I thought the place was nicer than the photos looked. Would definately stay again, really handy to get too, near city centre but not loads of traffic around so worked really well. Lovely to have parking there and all the facilities we needed for the weekend. Can't fault it.

You cannot go wrong with this outstanding and beautiful accommodation. Absolutely no complaints about anything. The beds were most comfortable and I was able to get a good quota of sleep without, aches and pains which I cannot say about any other accommodation I have stayed in. Easy to find and easy keylock code access. Communication excellent. All accommodation amenities were in working order and we were made very welcome with personal touches.

Giles was an incredibly proactive, responsive and friendly host. And the house was beyond expectations. Set in beautifully scenic surroundings, it was spacious, very clean, with great care and consideration to making it feel like home from home (for example, more basics than we expected like salt, oil, towels, kitchen roll, teas, coffees, hot chocolate, a throw blanket on the sofa, extra pillows available, an eclectic array of books, etc). Finding the property was easy, there’s space for parking in the drive as well as on the road, getting into the house was a breeze thanks to the key lock box, and I really can’t stress enough how amazing the views are. There’s even a lovely sun room and a balcony. Incredibly peaceful and homely place. Very dog friendly (my friend had her dog with us). The front garden is gated so we had no concerns about him getting into the (very quiet and low traffic) road. We all had a great time, and I would absolutely stay here again without hesitation.

A brilliant place to stay, everything was exactly as the photos and descriptions. Poppie always replied promptly to our questions before we booked, and the. messaged with helpful directions for arrival day. I can’t remember if towels were part of the listing, but was a very nice touch on our arrival. Use of the garage to keep our expensive water sports equipment safe while not in use was also very appreciated. Property as always nice and warm and in a lovely peaceful area, but close enough to local amenities too. If this property is available next year, we will be back 100%

We had a lovely relaxing stay in your peaceful bungalow. We were down to visit family nearby. It was just right for us and Lassie the dog. Lassie didnt want to leave 😔

The hosts were lovely and had excellent communication - even took us on a tour of the place. The place is a bit in the middle of nowhere (only negative, but could be a positive to some) with some tight squeeze roads - but it leads to a lovely bungalow. The swimming pool is a lovely touch which you can book at an hour a time (which we did on several occasions). There is a BMX bike track so take the BMX bikes if you have them. And some nice walks down to the river (but an uncomfortable walk to the local pub via road). The fridge was more like a freezer, but I have told the hosts and so this will likely be sorted for the next visitors. If you road bike there are also some lovely 40mile cycles around with lovely views down to coast (hilly though). The place was cosy and clean. No issues and feeling refreshed. Amazing Airbnb in a perfect location, lots of shops and food places in local area and no need to really use a car. Hot tub was amazing with great views, very clean apartment and spacious - our second time visiting and would definitely come back!
