Waterfront vacation rentals in Toggenburg District

Absolutely fantastic. This is nor just a place to stay. This is an exquisite experience surrounded by the Alps, close to any kind of restaurant desired, easy to find, and absolutely incredible hosts. We were so sad to leave. Do not miss a chance to stay here. We traveled easily to both Luzern and Zurich and took a route through the Alps to get to Neuschwanstein. So grateful to have met Brigitte and Sepp.

Very pleasant few days at Benjamin's apartment on Lake Constance. Ermatingen is a quiet village with typical and traditional Thurgau architecture and an excellent small supermarket close by. Easy to get to the various places of interest. Everything was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We were able to enjoy one evening supper on the terrace overlooking the lake. There have been some reviews mentioning the train. It is regular but quiet and passes in a flash. Nearby visits to the charming medieval centres of Konstanz, Stein-am-Rhein as well as the majestic Rhein Falls. We used our car but one can equally take the train or the boat. A final word of thanks to Ben for allowing our two dogs to accompany us in his apartment. The weather was unkind to us but the apartment was a cozy home from home.

Modern apartment with everything you need. The views and the weather moods including the full moon are hard to beat. All infrastructure (public transport, shopping, food) within walking distance.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The host was responsive and supportive, making our experience smooth and stress-free. The location is good, with a bus stop conveniently located right in front of the apartment, and it’s just a short walk to the Sonnenhof shopping center. The level walk to nearby amenities was an added bonus. The apartment is set up well for a short-term stay, with everything thoughtfully arranged for comfort and practicality. It’s a nice place, very spacious, great view over the lake from most rooms. Self check in was easy. Overall a nice stay. The sound isolation of the building is not terrible but sometimes you can hear noises from other people.

Beautiful apartment with direct views of the lake and the mountains, fantastically located (right on the lake !), super equipped, very spacious and elegant, quiet. We were guests here for the second time and love the location and the apartment! Lots of excursion options, direct neighborhood to the cable car to Flumserberg, boat to Quinten also nearby and much, much more... Sandra was very friendly and helpful, communication worked great. We will definitely come back and can highly recommend the apartment:-)!

My fiancé and I booked Johannes’ beautiful home to celebrate our Switzerland elopement with our closest friends. Everyone loved how charming the home was and how beautiful the surrounding was. There were lots of cooking tools for us to use. The only real issue was the ceiling above the second flight of stairs…taller people had a difficult time not hitting their head. Other than that, it was a great space to spend time with amazing people.

The house and the place let me get away from it all. I came to rest in the same way as I hadn't been in a long time and was able to really recharge my batteries. The communication with Simon was very straightforward, which I really like. All in all, it was just perfect for me.

Super uncomplicated check-in as well as check-out. Received super helpful information in advance as well as during the stay. Furnishings super cozy with great flair. It was great that the heating could be individually adjusted at these currently cold temperatures.

Had an excellent week long stay with family (3 generations). Location is excellent for walking access to train, ferry on Walensee and lift up to Flumserberg. Crossing the road requires care with little ones & elderlies, but is very manageable - even when carrying a canoe. The house is a perfect mix of modern amenities in a traditional Swiss mountain home. Extremely well equipped for eating in, and has plenty of space for kids to play and adults to relax, inside and out. Canoes and Table tennis a real bonus, BBQ too. Martin was an extremely helpful host with plenty of clear explanations in Swiss & English languages. A very enjoyable stay, highly recommended.

Lucas was very responsive and helpful, his house is very nice and has a great view on lake and mountains , the train passes by all the time, the outside area is too big and nice, everything is clean except for some spider webs in the corners but overall the house was very clean, there are also fun games for the kids which they enjoyed a lot. The only thing we didn't like was the area around the house, it is very quiet and completely dark at night which is a bit scary, but maybe that is a plus point for others.

This was the most beautiful stay I’ve ever had. It was quaint and adorable. If I could stay forever I would. It was nice to be surrounded by farm animals, Eva was a perfect host. She was responsive and friendly. I definitely want to book her next year!

Our family had a great stay and Laura our host was amazingly responsive and kind. We felt right at home! It's proximity and walking access to the river, old historic village and all public transportation (bus and train station) could not have been better. Highly reccomend this place!

Very spacious apartment overlooking the lake. The lake is less than 5 minutes walking distance, but swimming is not allowed in this place, e.g. picnic is possible. Further on, you can swim in the lake, about a 10-minute walk away. Kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms good. All supplies are provided. Stairs to the front door. Passing trains audible, but that applies to all the properties by the lake as the track runs along the lake. Good communication with the host. Conclusion: great accommodation and subject to repetition!

We had an absolutely brilliant stay in Peter’s lovely apartment at the walensee resort. He was super helpful with info and websites before we came and the apartment was as described. It was so beautiful and peaceful and just a few steps from the lake which we swam in every day. We loved having a little sunset drink at the kiosk just around the corner. The bottom of the cable car up the mountain was just a couple of minutes away and we enjoyed the toboggan and the Cliimber on the Flumsberg mountain. We hiked lots, and the mountain restaurants had play frames etc to entertain the kids. Highly recommended to all, and good value for Switzerland.

Verena and Rudi were personally picked up and dropped off at the train station, the room was spotless, the kitchen was fully stocked, and the bathroom and bedding were completely standard for a five star hotel.We didn't know much about the waste sorting in Switzerland and the Verena handles demonstrated to us.Rudi had a bonfire for us every night and it was romantic and warm.The house is in a unique location, out the door to the right is the walk along the Rhine River, about 40-50 minutes to the Rhein waterfall.To the left is the forest walk, 1h and a half hour to the Rheinna monastery church, beautiful.Unfortunately, it was only 3 days, so it should be a few more days.Verena and Rudi envisioned us very well and even drove us to coop to buy.We will come back again.Wish Verena and Rudi in good health and happiness and greetings from Yusha and Shangmin!

Nicole is a great host, proactively reaching out to help you with all necessary detailed information and prepared her home to the top for guests. The place is as described and shown in the photos, and she has left many instructions at home for everything. The sauna was a pleasure. 5min stop from train stop. It has more amenities than expected and offers full comfort of a home. her suggestions for visits around was aslo very helpful. thank you Nicole for this great experience!

The house was so beautiful we couldn’t believe our eyes when we walked through the door. Also the Mountain and lake view was like we where dreaming. It was so quit and peaceful, only wish we could stay longer! Definitely recommend. There’s a hotel Marina in the resort where you could go to a restaurant. The boat trip to Quintin and a ride to flumserberg is very easy to reach. Perfect to bring kids. Everything was so magical. 🥰
