AT&T has service coverage but if you have Verizon or another carrier I would check before you come. this area is remote so prepare! Afterwards, you will enjoy the views by the gas fireplace! This condo is on the 3rd floor. Nicely updated with stone fireplace, copper counter tops, new appliances, and jacuzzi tub!

A truly amazing private location on top of the world. One of the best views in all of Tucker County WV. Huge 7 person hot tub. Open floor plan. Private trail system on property leading to state park, ski hill and Bald Know. HUGE covered front porch for morning coffee, afternoon thunderstorms and evening sunsets. Campground was overall very pleasant and clean. The cabin was extremely clean and tidy and the hosts were extremely helpful. They gave us great recommendations and even listed local events for the holiday that were going on, with times and everything. There was a lot of snow expected overnight and offered services incase anything happened. The grounds keepers were very quick to get to work keeping the roads clear and salting our walkways. The location is great there's a beautiful stream that runs right through and lots of different camping options on the grounds. We 100% plan on coming back and even make visiting this location a regular thing! Highly recommend!!

This was my second stay at Mike's place and everything was just as good as my first stay. The location is great and close to many local sites and activities. The view of the mountain is gorgeous and so peaceful and relaxing. The house is very comfortable and nice inside with many thoughtful touches throughout. You won't be disappointed if you stay here!

My wife and I needed a trip away from the city for the long holiday weekend where we could enjoy some good activity in peaceful surroundings with our dog. This cozy pedestal cabin in Black Bear Resort was just what we were looking for. Check in was easy by picking up the keys at the resort lodge. The place had everything we needed to a cook a couple nights for ourselves, including the gas grill on the deck. The wall-mounted 4K flatscreen TV with Roku let us relax after three active days out and about in Canaan Valley while we listened to the thunderstorms roll over the mountains each evening. This would certainly be a fine place for folks (especially with kids -- there were two sets of bunk beds in the loft) to use a base for their WV adventures any time of year!

We absolutely loved our stay at Oakwood Nature Retreat! The house has incredible character, and learning about its 80s origins and family history was fascinating. Our host was exceptional, providing excellent recommendations for local, family-friendly activities and hikes. The home is beautifully designed, remarkably well-stocked, and has a wonderfully peaceful feel. As a family from the suburbs near the Nation's Capital, we especially appreciated the unique craftsmanship – a welcome change from mass-built housing. It was perfect for our group (family of 5, grandparent, and dog!). We had so much fun exploring the local hikes, restaurants, and coffee shops, and our biking adventure was a highlight. Highly recommended for a memorable getaway!

Our stay at Dave and Linna's was wonderful and would go back in a heartbeat. The location is so close to the slopes. They truly have put a special touch into the place as well. The kitchen has everything you need, the bathroom is lovely, and it's very clean. Beautiful touches throughout and thoughtful accessories just in case you might forget a toiletry item or something. Can't wait to make another visit to Timberline and stay here.

Shelly’s place was great for our weekend get away. It was quiet and cozy. I did have some concerns. At no fault to Shelly(she obviously didn’t build these and the buildings seem to be of older construction) the upstairs area made me feel a little uncomfortable, The railing fell below my hips and I feel my toddler could have slipped in between the spaces of the uprights if given the opportunity. The stairs are very small and narrow. My husband did slip once coming down. These are definitely things to consider if traveling with small children. Thankfully we brought a baby gate with us so that definitely made a difference. Other than that it was a very pleasant and cozy stay for us and would definitely rent again when we come back. Check in and out was easy and the space had everything we needed.

We had an amazing stay at this cabin. Everything was pristine, the hot water was great, the stove was easy to turn on, the views are AMAZING, and we felt right at home. Cell signal booster helped us look for directions to the interesting places nearby. We drove through Canaan Valley, went to Blackwater Falls, hiked Seneca Rocks and Spruce Knob. Definitely stop at a grocery store before you go to the cabin. Great coffee places and groceries in Elkins. I recommend bringing one of the easy light firelogs fron the grocery store as well, as it's much easier to light one up in the middle of the night.

Incredibly beautiful home with fantastic views! It was so peaceful and the drive to the house was so scenic. Everything was just so relaxing. The beds made me never want to get up lol. You can tell they really care about their guests because the kitchen is stocked with spices, oil, and different kinds of pans. Marcy is a great host and we are very thankful for her.

Excellent location, close to tons of activities and options. We loved the house and so much space!!! Exactly as described, very comfortable and inviting. The kitchen had everything you could need and lots of space. Beds were comfortable with extra linens available. The views were amazing!! Would definitely stay in the future when we are in the area.
