The crisp white bedding and soft towels were such a nice touch. We also appreciated the thoughtful extras, such as the coffee, tea, condiments, and toiletries—it made our short stay so much more convenient and enjoyable. The location was ideal, with the train station and the city center just a short walk away, making it easy for us to explore and enjoy everything the area has to offer. Communication with Tom and Bonnie, the property manager, was excellent, and we felt well taken care of throughout our visit. Just returned from a lovely weekend at Gill Cottage, would definiately recommend and hope to return in the future. Excellent location and the photos dont do it justice. Sofa and beds very comfortable and the living area is nice and spacious. It is also kept toasty warm. If I was very VERY picky it would be nice to have had a couple of little touches like a dish rack for washing up and blankets for the sofa and maybe some festive fairy lights etc at this time of year but as I say these are tiny things. Thanks for a lovely stay!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Our Airbnb was a thrill to arrive at! An old English manor that once housed the Wordsworth family welcomed us with a box of goodies and large rooms that overlookd the lake and waterfalls on the side yard (garden). We were over the moon enchanted by the lovely design of the home filled with comfortable areas to lounge in. We used the fireplace daily and loved being with each other playing cards, doing a puzzle, cooking, and watching movies after our daily long hikes. The weather was gorgeous everyday offering sunshiny skies that dazzled the mountains and lakes. Our host, Kate, promptly answered any questions we had. We highly recommend this beautiful place conveniently located in Grasmere and sure hope we can return again!

Meadowside was a great place to stay. Easy to find and access, private parking with plenty of drive space. Quiet and private. Central to so many places and activities. House was spacious and well laid out. Host was very helpful and communicative. Would stay here again.

Clean house, right in the town centre. Everything you need is within walking distance.

A great little place to stay with a very well equipped kitchen, which is always a bonus. Very easy to walk into town and a great dog walk right outside the back door. We really enjoyed our stay, wish we could have had one more day!

What a wonderful little cottage, we really enjoyed our two nights here. We arrived in the midst of Storm Darragh, and when we opened the front door we were greeted by a beautifully cosy, Christmassy living area. It was a welcome sight after a sketchy and tiring journey! We managed to park right outside the cottage, despite initial instructions saying we would have to park somewhere nearby. Bonus! We loved the Christmas decorations dotted around the place, so much so we asked Nancy about one particular piece which she informed us was from the local garden centre down the road. We made sure to visit and it was very much worth it - an excellent Christmas display full of local produce and decorations. The cottage had everything we needed - the kitchen was very cute and the double bedroom nice and roomy with a comfy bed. Bathroom was clean and shower was perfect. Nancy was so responsive and helpful, we’d stay again!

Robin was a wonderful host and his place was perfect for our stay. He made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Robin recommended several excellent hikes for us and it was fun to discuss our adventures with him at the end of each day. His place is rustic but very comfortable. We enjoyed the fireplace and the kitchen is modern. We highly recommend this Airbnb and would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great visit Robin!

Lovely cosy place for 2! Our second time staying here and just booked again for next year! Great location,really cosy and comfortable. A perfect base for exploring the lakes. Lovely big log burner for extra warmth. Perfect.

Amazing place! Felt at home straight away and had such a homely feel to the place. So much bigger than we thought it would be also! Really friendly hosts and great location, only a few minutes walk to the shops in Keswick. Definitely will be coming back!! :)

Accommodation was booked for colleagues for business purposes. Everything was exactly as described, suited our needs perfectly and the location was lovely. Barry and Ivy were very friendly and communicative hosts. Would definitely stay here again.

This is the second time I have stayed at the studio. It is a lovely little place, compact but with everything you need in a very beautiful and convenient spot. Carol and Margaret are very helpful and friendly it is always a pleasure to stay in their beautiful flat. Thank you for being so welcoming and accomodating.

Wonderful place to stay near Wastwater. Beautiful flat, nicely decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. On the first floor with outdoor steps. Easy short walk down to the lake to swim or launch paddlboards. Can walk fells from the flat, perfect location. Really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Our family stay at the Luxury Lakehouse Retreat was a perfect escape into nature’s beauty. Even though the weather wasn't ideal, we loved exploring the small forest on the property, with surround-sound music accompanying us from indoors to out—it added such a nice touch. The peaceful atmosphere and incredible views made it easy to unwind, and we spent hours just soaking it all in. The hot tub and sauna were fantastic for warming up after our walks, and the private lake and woodland brought so much tranquility to our stay. It’s a wonderful place to relax, reconnect, and enjoy nature together.

A wonderful half term long weekend with our teenagers. Super quiet location, but close enough to Lancaster to make a dash into the city easy. Smashing property with jus the right mixture of character and modernity. Will be back.

We really enjoyed staying at far Nook, ten minute walk to centre of Ambleside. Lovely accommodation, clean and spacious. Good quality, high standards. Upstairs double bed in front of house a bit too hard otherwise rest of beds comfortable. Good showers and bathrooms. Kitchen great social area, kitchen equipment good. Lovely garden area, although we didn’t use it because we explored the fells everyday. My parents loved sitting in the sun room at the front of the house while we were out walking. Great bedroom for them downstairs. My husband used the office space to work in a lot, which was great for him as this isn’t often found in accommodation. Wi-Fi good Really nice lounge area comfortable sofas and chairs and wood burner. Very homely. (Not over keen on furniture in TV room to big, uncomfortable and dowdy, didn’t use this room.) I’d certainly recommend this house. We had a wonderful holiday here and we would love to return and stay at Far Nook again. Thank you!

A lovely house and well looked after. We particularly liked the games room, and the walks by the estuary and sea wall.

Beautiful houses imaculate inside and out finished to a very high standard and very homely. The houses are surrounded by beautiful surroundings in a peaceful location. Jerry went out of his way to help us and was the perfect host.
