Romantic Round House, 360deck, private beach

LyndseyRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Taja was excellent to communicate with prior to our arrival! She sent several recommendations ahead of time that were helpful. Once we arrived, Doon met us and showed us around the property. She is one of the warmest, inspirational women I’ve met. We largely stayed close to the Round House, though going to the north and south parts of the island are very doable with a rental vehicle! We found that the beaches around the property were some of the most beautiful on the island and were easily two of the most beautiful beaches I’ve encountered. The property looked like the pictures! The beach was very wavy when we went and we weren’t able to snorkel, but we did get out in the kayak and paddle around through the waves. Overall, it was a great trip and I would highly recommend!

RUSTIC ELEGANCE SUITE/ Additional Suite Available

CamilleRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Tina was an exceptional host; she was quick to reply, gave amazing local suggestions, helped with finding a vehicle during our stay and so much more. The space was great for the amount of money it cost. You experience a local feel. You definitely need to rent a vehicle while you stay here to get around. A friendly reminder, Do not leave any food out, just put all foods in the fridge and keep the space clean, remove of any garbages daily. You won’t have any problems(ants). it was an overall great stay for the price! I would recommend to singles or people that are travelling as a couple for more cost efficient and looking to do more activities than staying in. 🙂

Ocean Sounds (10-15 min walk to beach)

MatildaRating, 5 stars9 months ago
This cottage is an adorable place to stay when visiting Eleuthera! Theresa and Andrew are very lovely and welcoming, everything was easy to find and felt very homely. We enjoyed the quietness and cosiness of the cottage to enjoy newly engaged happiness, and would 100% return again!

Islander Turtle Peek Cottage

MichaelRating, 5 stars5 days ago
I hesitated to give this property 5 stars, only because it deserved 10 stars!! After 50 years of marriage and many countries visited, this stay will rank in the top 3 or 4 of our lives. The view from our cottage was spectacular! The hosts were like long lost friends. Example: Our rental car broke down on the way to the property. We limped in safely but waited over 5 hours for a replacement vehicle. We had no groceries or supplies. Sonny took us in his vehicle and spent over an hour taking us to town for supplies. Sonny and Nadia's knowledge of the area was indispensable. The glass bottom kayaks were so fun. This is a pretty remote location, so don't think you'll walk to any restaurant, or store. Get a rugged and dependable vehicle. Be prepared to be mesmerized by the crashing surf on the south end of Harbour Island. Watch hundreds of large turtles, and if you listen carefully I think you might hear them serenade you with a love song!!

Summer Cottage

PatrickRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had such a great stay! Joanne was responsive and even picked us up from the ferry dock and took me to a local store to pick up a few things we had forgotten. She then even helped organize the golf cart rental and made sure very part of arriving on the island was easy and stress free. The cottage itself was so CUTE! The garden around it was so pretty and peaceful. The cottage has a great amount of privacy and is CENTRALLY LOCATED to everything you’d want to do on the island. Would definitely stay again!

Swell - Cozy Oceanfront Eco-Cottage

TaylorRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Wow! Our vacation at Swell was nothing short of incredible! Upon arrival, we took the path down to explore Surfers beach. The views were breathtaking! The pictures of this place don’t do it justice. We loved drinking our coffee on the cliff each morning & stargazing there every night. With the windows open, relaxing and cooking in the kitchen was so peaceful. The local “7-11” gas station & grocery mart were close by and we were able to get all we needed there for meals & beverages. Hands down, Eleuthera has some of the world’s most beautiful beaches! We highly recommend checking out Current & Bottom Harbor. You should definitely make time to jump into Sapphire Blue hole - it was thrilling! Take a day to go out with Shaw from Bullseye Bone Fishing on Spanish Wells! We loved eating at Sandbar there and exploring their island & beaches on the golf cart(order the Wahoo Fish Fingers & Conch Fritters!) Jon was kind, hospitable, available & quick to respond! WE WILL BE BACK!

Tiny House, Pineapple Cottage,sea view

DavidRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I'm almost hate to write a great review about this place so that I can keep it a secret. It's really fantastic for solo traveler or a cozy couple. My second time at the Pineapple Cottage and I was pleasantly surprised when the neighbors remembered me from last year! The location can't be beat. You have a gorgeous view of the entrance to Hope Town harbor and are walking distance into town. The bikes are a great resource, but Elbow Cay is a bit longer and hillier than you expect!

Tranquil Blue tiny home w/ loft by sea

CarolynRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lauren’s place is in the most beautiful, quiet location. We walked by the ocean every morning and evening and enjoyed the small, shallow Winton Beach. Her place is exactly as described, small, cozy, and fun. It was a perfect space for two.

Cayo Loco Beachview Studio Deserted PinkSand for 2

AndreaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Cayo Loco exceeded our expectations. We spent two weeks here on our honeymoon, and loved every minute of it! Waking up every morning to watch the sunrise from our king-sized bed, spending hours at the beach, the sight and sound of the waves, swimming in the warm Atlantic waters, we just couldn’t get enough. Truthfully this was the best beach we’ve ever spent time on, even with all the other beautiful beaches on Eleuthera and Harbour Island. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was the best way to end each wonderful day there. The house itself was cozy, well laid out and fully stocked with the basics to get you going. The nearby farmers markets and grocery stores took care of the rest. When we didn’t feel like cooking, we were a short walk to Pascals, or a quick drive to several local eateries. We are now big fans of Eleuthera and especially this relaxed beach lifestyle that inspires a new way of enjoying all life has to offer! Thank you Cayo Loco!

Cottage / deck overhang ocean in a great location.

ElenaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The Buttonwood cottage was exactly as described. The best part of this property is its unique location: on a cliff, very privately framed by natural vegetation, which also provided afternoon shade. The interior was on the small side but had everything you need for a relaxing stay for two people (plenty of towels, nice sheets, stocked kitchen). Nicole, who lives on the grounds, caringly met some of our requests for additional items. We felt very safe on the large landscaped property. At night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves, in the morning to the quaint crowing of the village roosters. There is always cool breeze on the deck, we were never hot. We rented a car and traveled all around the island, mostly snorkeling. It eventually became clear that the snorkeling near Buttonwood (right off these cliffs in the photos) was the best. Every time we went swimming we saw the three spotted eagle rays mentioned in the guide. Read the Trip Planner! It made our experience stress free.

The Village

GaryRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is a stunning place to stay in Eleuthera, the property is gorgeous inside and has everything you need. There is a lovely outdoor shower. At the rear is a wooden patio plus a separate deck with table and chairs at the end of the garden, with amazing cliff and sea views. Turtles seen each morning in the sea below. It is about 20 minutes walk into Gregory town with a couple of shops and restaurants. Take into account there is no public transport on the 110 mile long Island, so if you want to see any of the island other than Gregory town you will require expensive taxis or a hire car, preferably an SUV as most beaches are along rough tracks from the main Queens highway. Molly the owner was very responsive and answered all questions. Book this place you won’t regret it.

Serenity | Away From The Things Of Man... Lat23N.c

GordonRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Jim aptly named Serenity as it is the essence of a peaceful escape. Why this cabin isn't featured among the top AirBNB's is surprising as I have spent hours pouring over listings to find places as secluded or private as Serenity. Where else can you find miles of beautiful beach with only your own footprints on it? There is one other home about a half mile down the beach but nobody appeared to be there during our stay so we had miles of sand all to ourselves with no prying eyes. The cabin itself was a lovely space, and we had no issues adjusting to solar and found that with even limited sun, plenty of power was produced to run the fan, hotplate, lights, and keep our devices charged. We had no issues with bugs as even light winds seemed to keep them at bay. The kitchen had all the basics and the market is a very short drive, although food prices in the Bahamas are about 3-4X that of the US. My only complaint is that it's difficult to escape the sun and in the morning hours.
